bon temps grill

great experience. my hubby and i are visiting lafayette for company business. we went here this evening with a group from his work. wow! from the friendly, accommodating staff to the food....great experience.

we are not from louisiana so when we are here i want cajun food and bon temps met that need. i had the bbq alligator doria. i was hesitant but it tasted delish. i got the jalapeno grits with it. mmmmmm...definitely worth going.

bon temps grill is a cajun creole restaurant that serves a variety of food items. there were so many choices on the menu to choose from. for me one my favorite things was the presentation of each dish was definitely given some thought. as the saying goes, you eat with your eyes first. if it looks good, you are more likely to enjoy it more.

the food was really good! nice hometown place with a local flavor. had the tuna appetizer and it was fantastic. will be back!

boucherie board!. we loved the food here. the meats on the boucherie board were wonderful and generous for two people. the bread, crocodile cooler, salad, and desserts were great too! we'll definitely go back again!~

stopped in on a cross country journey based on what people said here. this restaurant is great! whoever makes the sausage needs an award. 10/10

great place. i've been to bon temp's about 8 times now and this place is nothing if not consistent. you can count on a great meal every time. a++

awesome new place in lafayette. we stopped in for lunch and got there just in time, the place filled up at noon. the bacon cheeseburger was awesome. the single is almost too big, so the double would surely be overkill. i really likes the sweet potato mashed. i'll be back for sure, i might have to test out the bar!

went for lunch, get there early. started get busy at noon. had tuna tartar was better than i expected. we had the grilled snapper and grilled chicken. every thing was really good. will difinetly be back

last night's dinner special: grilled lemon fish topped with fried capers on a bed of pasta primavera. the flavors were delicate, engaging and delicious! ! this dish was amazing!! ive been there several times and have never been disappointed. great place!!

shockingly awesome!. i was so shocked at my experience this past saturday evening. i was not expecting such an elaborate menu for such a small place. first i would say i wasn't very excited about the atmosphere. it's a real bar and grill and cramped but the service and food greatly made up for it! our server jerett was so very helpful and knowledgeable about the lavish menu items. my wife and i shared the swamp legs appetizer. the alligator wings were off the chain, however the duck drummettes need work to their admission. my wife had tilapia and i had three tail fish (which i have never heard of) topped with lump crab meat. both were cooked perfectly and to die for! our sides included red hot potatoes (like out of boiled crawfish 8)), grilled asparagus, sage sweet potato mash and grilled veggies. everything was so flavorful and presented beautifully! i have alrady recommended this restaurant to many friends and will be returning soon! absolutely phenomenal!!

great food and value! i tried the sweet chili honey chicken and it was outstanding! also have tried the crawfish pie. giant and very good. ask for a side of white rice and make étouffée!

great place, service and food!. wow i was really impressed with everything tonight.  i rarely give 5 stars but when dining with a toddler and having a very positive experience i thought it was worthy.  i had ordered to go in the past for lunch but never ate in and everything was great!  it was packed and a nine seater was seated right ahead of us but you would never know.  my husband and i dined with our 1 year old and they were very accommodating...asking us if we wanted her dinner served before ours, bring crayons etc.  the boudin board was awesome huge variety.  i had the crawfish pot pie which was huge and i mean huge!  my husband had the burger and that was also massive!  both equally as good and we were happy to see a local beer option and the wine prices were very affordable.  
lastly i would like to say that it is nice to see management on top of everything.  when we received our appetizer a piece of bread was burnt not a huge deal, put it off to the side and the owner came to our table and acknowledged that it should have never come out of the kitchen without even saying anything.  it's hard go find service like this anymore, just another reason we will be returning.

i could see this becoming one of my favorites! i was very surprised how much the inside has changed it looks completely different in a good way-very welcoming.
we had ordered a larger order for about 7 people to go, the service was friendly and prompt and everyone was really pleased with there orders. the shrimp and tasso pasta was especially good and the sweet potato mash was equally as good. the bread pudding is to die for!!! i love bread pudding and it is right up there with my #1 favorite!
needless to say i highly recommend trying it. we had lunch so i will have to give dinner a try soon.

excellent upscale food in a casual setting at a reasonable price. the service was good. not a lot of seating and a little noisy but thoroughly enjoyable.

amazing. ordered the crawfish pie expecting it would be heavy and put me out of commission for two hours. the crust was veeeeery flaky and wonderful, the crawfish inside were huge, and it used little butter. it was surprisingly light for pie filled with etouffee, so i had to order some pie. :d the pie was just as good. everything is fresh and well-made. felt like the complimentary bread had too much garlic, but i'm sure others would disagree. telling everyone i know how great this place is!

stellar service and amazing food!. my best friend and i decided to try this place because we were in the mood for some cajun food. a few shakes on the urbanspoon app sent us here. when we walked in the door, we were greeted by four smiling faces, which was a pleasant surprise. after being seated, the cheerful waitress asked for our drink orders. she recommended a beer i never tried before and even got me a small sample so i could taste it for myself!

for our appetizer, we had the bon temps sausage and boudin board. each bite was so juicy and flavorful, the sauces on the side were unnecessary. for entrees, i had the bbq alligator doria. it was beyond words. the balance of flavors was impeccable! my friend had the crawfish pot pie (which was crawfish etoufee made into a pot pie, sans rice) and enjoyed it very much. he asked for a small bowl of white rice on the side and one of the managers brought it to him without hesitation.

i was impressed to see a cajun restaurant decide to be unique, bold, and different in going for a grill-centric menu, instead of the usual fried fare. the price was very affordable, given the quality and uniqueness of the food. i really hope this place succeeds and prospers, because i will be returning multiple times to try other delicious grilled dishes! 10/10!!!

i found this place after being lured in by the smell from a car repair shop across the street. the food and atmosphere is fantastic. later, i brought along some coworkers and the place has since become one of our favorite places to grab a bite.
