we got a half order ribs and a small portion of brisket burnt ends. this is probably the best barbecue i've ever had in my life. i admit that my barbecue experience is limited but by far this is the best thing i've ever eaten. and the coleslaw andpotatosalad were really good too.

new star on the rise!!. visiting from texas, and stoped by the place on recomendation. our bbq is more of a dry rub and flavor. a great difference in the wet style. the flavor of the ribs have a unique spice balanced with just enough sweetness... outstanding! unique to the menu is the deli sliced prime rib. yes, deli sliced. the meat cooked to med rare perfection, retaining all the natural juices and smoke. the other meats on the menu are also smoked to perfection and more than worth a try! a whole seperate review could be given for the complimental side items. the spicy yet sweet baked beans with pulled pork (sticky to a fork), devil'd eggpotatosalad, and more completely round out a great dining experience of st. louis bbq. even after visiting the older big brother near town, this younger sibling is maturing and coming into a name of it's own. after trying bogart's, it'll be hard to campare on the same level of the other place... bogart's will remain on one's tongue, just like it's smoke and flavor!

bogart's is one of the best places i've ever had bbq. the pastrami was so good with out any sauce just melts in your mouth and there sides are so good i had thepotatosalad and apple sauce. they are differently made in house so fresh and good. we will differently be going back every time we are in st. louis.

we stopped here on a recent road trip, after researching the best bbq in st. louis. bogarts was at the top of each foodie list. i am not sure it lived up to the #1 hype, but it is worth a visit. the ribs had good taste and texture, and a smoke ring. the burnt ends were missing the desired crispiness. the slaw andpotatosalad were good, just too sweet for my taste. the pulled pork sandwich was decent.

bogarts has been my first choice for st louis bbq since i discovered it years ago in fine cooking magazine. it is my first recommendation to anyone looking for bbq in st louis…meats are superb and sides, especially couldn't be beat! imagine my disappointment when i ate here recently only to discover that the deviled eggpotatosalad had been replaced with a bland, mustardy store bought version and the beans were equally ordinary. i couldn't be sadder but bogarts is no longer a recommendation of this foodie.

extremely friendly and efficient staff, even with the massive line. burnt ends, potatosalad, and bbq sauce were well above average, however the ribs were disappointing...didnt care for rub and they were not fall off the bone tender. coleslaw was marginal. perhaps this was an off day. little pricey based on hype/lofty expectations and long wait.

perfection. if you are in the stl- this is a must do. pulled pork sandwich with thepotatosalad and baked beans (with the drippings) makes for an unforgettable lunch. be ready to wait for a few moments and then elbow up to a friendly neighbor at community table.

best bbq in town! i've heard about this place for a while but was hesitant to try since i'm very picky when it comes to bbq. i've tried the pulled pork, baked beans andpotatosalad and it was amazing! the pulled pork was very tender, no fat at all and very flavorful! theirpotatosalad tasted amazing as well as their baked beans! their pineapple bbq sauce is the best i even bought some to take home! this is one of the best bbq restaurants i've ever tried and between here and pappy's which are both equally amazing, i dont think i could even think about trying anywhere else!

#1 bbq kings- bogarts- amazing bbq. st. louis has a lot of good bbq. that being said- bogart's is king of them all!
the meats are so good it is hard to choose what main dish to have. pulled pork is great, brisket very flavorful, and the burnt end special they run is mouth watering.

sides stand up for themselves. baked beans are full of meat. deviled eggpotatosalad is great. sauces are flavorful, i love the sweet megan anne sauce.

one of my favorite take out places- food holds up well over travel time. bogarts wraps to- go orders with care. meats are so good we have served it at family parties. left-overs are even good.

check them out on facebook and twitter- they often announce specials.

hands down my favorite bbq in the entire area!

great smokehouse!. went here with some friends last night for the first time. walking down the street and smelling the aroma, you already know that you've made a good choice. the menu doesn't have the widest of selections, but it has all of the staples of a good bbq joint. the prices are good, and the service is fast.

everyone in our group ordered a pulled pork. i had baked beans andpotatosalad with mine. everything i had was outstanding! throw in the fact that you can order fitz's cream or root beer, and the meal was beyond what i would have anticipated. the girls had too much food to eat it all. the guys had more food than we should probably have finished. so, portion amounts are really good; especially for the low price points.

with the outdoor seating, the amount of available seating isn't too bad. i've definitely been to smaller places.

the thing that impressed me the most was probably the fact that the owner was actually waiting and bussing tables. she was very friendly and took the time to chat with us for a few minutes. the courteousness of the entire staff was notable.

it may have been our first time there, but definitely won't be our last!

unbelievable!!. my husband and i are avid bbqers and try it wherever we go. we've always eaten at pappy's numerous times each time we visit stl from ky to see the cards play, but bogart's has taken over that spot for me. best ribs andpotatosalad, hands down. don't quite understand the chips, really wish i hadn't wasted one of my sides on that :( beans were pretty good, but i still make 'em better ;) sauces are so-so but who needs it?? still like pappy's fried corn on the cob and brisket best.

bbq lover's paradise!. i recently moved back to st. louis and was looking for a good bbq/smokehouse. after seeing all of the very positive reviews for bogart's, i decided to give it a try. i drove from st. charles to the soulard area to pick up some ribs, and some pulled pork. i tried theirpotatosalad, beans, and pickles. i ordered a to go order because i was short on time. when i arrived back in st. charles i found that my order was incorrect. i was very disappointed and contacted bogart's immediately. niki from their staff contacted me back and apologized for the incorrect order. they are usually very busy and as with any business, this stuff can happen once in a while. niki told me to come back in when i had time and they would make it up to me. they have more than made it up to me. i cannot praise their customer service enough! they were extremely gracious and took care of me. now on to the food. i have had their ribs, their pulled pork, their brisket, and their smoked turkey. all of the meats were excellent! their ribs had a nice smoke ring and were very tender. their turkey is the best i have ever tasted. i enjoyed their brisket (nice and tender) and their pulled pork. the standouts to me are their ribs and smoked turkey breast. side dishes that i would highly recommend are theirpotatosalad, and beans. theirpotatosalad tastes like a mix of grandma's and deviled eggs. extremely yummy and brings back that nostalgic feeling of summer and great bbq. the beans are phenomenal!!!! if allowed, i would eat them 4 times each and every day. they would compliment any meal but together with the tremendous bbq, they will send your taste-buds into orbit. they have a smokey, and meaty sweetness that is pure bean perfection. do not miss out. i would say that this is definitely the best bbq restaurant in st. louis and i will be a customer for life!

will had been told that the food here was really good.  they were closing in 30 minutes, so we decided to order the food to go.  i called in an order of the prime rib for myself & the brisket for my husband.  we weren’t really pleased with their choices of sides and opted for chips &potatosalad reluctantly.  shortly, someone me back and let me know they didn’t have any prime rib left.  i settled for the brisket.  our food was ready when we got there.  we got it home and popped it open.  i ended up with pork grinds which i wasn’t going to eat if you paid me.  i like thepotatosalad well enough, but didn’t feel like it was a great compliment to the sandwich. will’s chips were pretty tasted as far as chips go. the brisket was okay, a bit soggy, but the bread was delicious.  overall, i don’t know that i’d go back to bogarts.  it was okay barbeque in a city full of amazing barbeque, which is unfortunate.  photo set photo set soulard’s restauran
