as soon as i got out the car and walked to the front door, i smelled excellence. stepped in the building and couldn't decide what i wanted cause their entire menu looked enticing so i asked the cashier and she recommended their bestseller, the #8 steak. the aroma filled the car on the drive to the crib. sat down, opened the wrapper and a behemoth stared me in my face. this sandwich was huge!!! the bread was soft, the flavors were addicting and the sandwich was still hot as if i ordered it and dined in. if you likesandwichesand don't give this spot a visit, you're doing yourself an injustice.

as a jax native and sandwich lover i feel that blue boys has the bestsandwichesin town. even after i moved away, i have to get a blue boy sammich when i visit.

iate here 25 years ago and still eat here. thesandwichesare large and incharge , enough food for two or three meals . the french fries are crinkle cut and fried to perfection . gets crowded at lunch but worth the wait and the drive

my particular favorite is their club sandwich, which is simply huge. the steak and cheese is also excellent, and they even serve equally-impressive breakfastsandwichesas well.

a long-time favorite!. i've been a fan of blue boy ever since i could walk. it's everything you could want in a sandwich shop- delicious, hugesandwichesmade fresh. tons of options and if you're in a lighter mood, they make good salads as well. the staff is as friendly as they come and make everyone feel at home.

jso zone 1- sector c. if i am headed to the northside or out around these parts, i go to blue boy's. thesesandwichesare bigger than your head, and are goooood!!! it is over off norwood so, i "dash" in and dash out. my buddy in jso turned me on to this place.

hugesandwicheson fresh, fresh bread. i'd almost forgotten about the blue boy but a visit today reminded me how good this place is. it's about 400 yards south of i-95 on norwood avenue. inside it's clean with friendly order at the counter service and a vast menu.

for those with a lighter appetite choose from one of the rounds which is about the size of a central grocery muffaletta. otherwise the full sandwich deal is de rigeur. the steak and onion (order the hot peppers) is filled with thin slices of grilled steak, a bunch of grilled onions with sliced cheese on a huge and very fresh roll measuring about 10 by 6 by 2. it simply blows away any of those paltry offerings out of philadelphia and it is immensely satisfying. requires a 2 hour nap. with a refillable bucket of diet croak the bill was just shy of 10 bucks,
the coldsandwichesare ok but suffer from a commercial italian dressing.
