huge sandwiches on fresh, fresh bread. i'd almost forgotten about the blue boy but a visit today reminded me how good this place is. it's about 400 yards south of i-95 on norwood avenue. inside it's clean with friendly order at the counter service and a vast menu.
for those with a lighter appetite choose from one of the rounds which is about the size of a central grocery muffaletta. otherwise the full sandwich deal is de rigeur. the steak and onion (order the hot peppers) is filled with thin slices of grilled steak, a bunch of grilled onions with sliced cheese on ahugeand very fresh roll measuring about 10 by 6 by 2. it simply blows away any of those paltry offerings out of philadelphia and it is immensely satisfying. requires a 2 hour nap. with a refillable bucket of diet croak the bill was just shy of 10 bucks,
the cold sandwiches are ok but suffer from a commercial italian dressing.
