delicious, interesting food. my husband and i had an early dinner there and it was wonderful. 4 plates shared between us, and if we wanted dessert we should have made it 3 - they're good sizes and we were full.

the star was the scallops with bacon in a lemon sauce with "frizzled" kale. they served that first and it was a "wow!". the lemon sauce is reduced (no thickeners) and sweetened but not cloying. pair that with the salty in the bacon and the roasted kale and it's a great combo with the delicate scallops.

the pork and kimchi was good although i thought the pulled pork was a little dry. that was my husband's second favorite, mine was the pear/gorgonzola flatbread which was delicious.i'm not a gorgonzola fan, but this was very gentle as a base for the pear slices.

i had expected tolovethe broccoli blast as iloveroasted veg (purple cauliflower, broccolini, cabbage rabe, brussels sprouts), but while this was ok it could have used a little seasoning. many of the recipes i've followed drizzle lemon juice or balsamic on top of the char roasted veg as they come out of the oven and that makes the whole thing much more interesting. probably wouldn't order that again.

service was attentive, prompt and very personable. it wasn't busy as it was early, so noise wasn't an issue. definitely want to return to try all the things we didn't have room for :)

fantastic!!!! the food here was simply wonderful!! we came as a party of 4 with one vegetarian and were worried about all of us eating. the veggie options are fantastic, the the eggplant/chickpea dish was the best! the atmosphere was busy and non fussy, the servers were casual and did not rush us. our meals came out one at a time because that how tapas restaurant work! duh! if i wanted all of our meals at once then i'd go to a traditional place. i want to eat and linger and enjoy conversations. we had the eggplant chickpea meal which had something like a fry bread or sopapilla on top. it was heavenly spiced, creamy and smooth and just made your entire mouth happy to eat it! the wild boar ribs were as smokey as a campfire and incredibly tender and juicy. the fried olives with romesco sauce were heartier then we imagined, stuffed with cheese (mozzarella?) and the sauce was spicy and tangy. the 7 spiced shrimp were hot and flavorful, but could have used a little acid to balance it out. maybe a squeeze of lime? they were served in their shells but split open and bathed in the hot spices. then we had the pork tacos. they are the size of two bite street tacos, but were stuffed with so much pork that they were three solid bites. they each had a lime and avocado slice. the pork was crisped at the edges and the tortillas were soft. they were awesome! we also had the beet and gruyere gratin. it was pretty good-and the veggie was happy, but not my fav. i wish it was used with golden beets instead of regular ones. came across a bit messy. we also had a plain flatbread. we had 3 desserts: the earl grey panna cotta. it's was a typical panna cotta, well made, soft, and the earl grey was wonderful in it, but if youloveearl grey you will find yourself wishing it was a bit stronger. then we had the chocolate mousse with the pistachio brittle. the brittle here was the star of the show. it was as toasty as anything could get before it burned. the person making this has the timing down to an art form. the mousse was fantastically delicious-soooo soft, smooth, and creamy. finally we had the cappuccino gelato and apricot pastry. the gelato was a wonderful way to end the evening. soooo coffee-y! the pastry was meh. thick, soft instead of flakey and dense. out picks: eggplant/chickpea dish and chocolate mousse (specifically to get the pistachio brittle). we've already decided in reservations for our next time there. 4 people, 2 beers, 6 martinis, 7 tapas, 3 desserts, 3 hours: $145 without tip. totally worth it.
