a great find!. my son took his younger brother and me to yourrestaurantfor a combined belated birthday and mother's day celebration.

he drove from olympia and chose yourrestaurantfor a number of reasons.

1. your location is easily accessed and not a hassle to find parking.
2. food is delicious--one of our favorites is your lamb dish.
3. the consistent good quality of your menu.
4. your tiramisu is still the best we have sampled from many restaurants.
5. conversation can occur without loud acoustics!

for me the hydrangea blooming in your front entry pots seemed artificial--so garden perfect! it was a treat for my eyes as i viewed them from my table inside your restaurant.

we left feeling very satisfied and glad we had this time together. i am recovering from open heart surgery so this was a particularly special gathering for me to be with my two sons. thank you again--we'll be back!

great find!. what can i say about this wonderful littlerestaurantthat hasn't already been said? from the minute you enter you are warmly greeted by chef michael who is often cooking away in the kitchen. the food is outstanding, served fresh and prepared by an exceptional chef. the servers are very knowledgable of the menu and wine list and the atmosphere is lovely. you'll love it from beginning to end!

best italian food ever!. we drove all the way from kirkland, after seeing the mystery diners episode about chef michael. therestaurantis cozy and elegant, and the paintings are truly amazing. our server was very knowledgeable describing probably 15 or more specials on two separate trays. i had homemade venison cannelloni that literally melted in my mouth. my husband ordered the rib eye steak that was cooked to perfection. for dessert we had tiramisu and it was, indeed, light and fluffy just as the server described it! for the after dinner drink ,we enjoyed 20 years old port wine, that was unlike any other port we ever tried before. a little pricey , but very well worth the money. we can't wait to come back and bring our friends to bistro baffi!

wonderful food but.... bistro baffi, a small, romantic italianrestaurantlocated in burien, came across as perfect. the warm environment, is so romantic. the servers were very professional, presenting numerous items to us with such ease. our service was phenomenal. the food was some of the best as well, but sadly we will not be returning to bistro baffi. there was a tall brunette; lead server i might assume? who was painfully loud and negative while we tried to enjoy our meal. she yelled at one of the servers right in front of our table, rather than taking her into the back to talk to her as a leader might have done appropriately. in the kitchen, i could hear the chef yelling as well. like i had said previously, the food and service was outstanding, but the leaders in therestaurantmade us feel so uncomfortable due to the blatant disrespect they showed their employees, we will not return. the tall brunette lady needs to be removed from the staff permanently, i believe, because it seems like a very unstable work and customer environment.

happy valentine's day!!  we celebrate ours a day early to avoid all the hubbub and the disappointment of florists running out of red roses, like this post . my husband took me out, but didn't tell me where we were going.  he was adamant we leave by a certain time.  i knew we were going out to dinner, but he usually doesn't rush.  so i thought maybe we were going to a theater or dinner and a show.  instead it was dinner from a show. :)  a few days ago, we were watching tv and mystery diners from food network came on.  therestaurantfeatured was from burien, wa, so we decided to continue watching it.  therestaurantis called bistro baffi and i started laughing when i found out that's where we were dining. as soon as we walked in, we recognized one of the servers from the show and chef michael was walking around talking to customers.  he was even delivering food and showing specials.  he disappeared when it started getting busy. our server happened to be stacy, whom we are pretty sure i

delightfully surprised. usually the food in italian restaurants all tastes the same if you are ordering any dish with a red sauce. not so here. four of us went out to dine at this charmingrestaurantand were surprised by the fresh, pleasing tastes of each dish. you felt like your dish had been made just for you and not on an assembly line in the back. wonderful wait staff and delicious specials. truly a wonderfulrestaurantto take that special person.

overrated. very disappointed! i don't get why there are so many good reviews on this place. we went judging based on what people wrote both on yelp and urbanspoon, which had amazing reviews. after looking over their menu at home we thought this seemed like a good place with excellent italian food. our server was trying to upsell us on everything which was very annoying, she was very pushy. the prices on the menu reflect fine dining but does not deliver fine dining, service or ambiance at all. everything is mediocre! we walked in and waitresses were wearing football tee shirts. for arestauranttrying to appear as a high-end establishment, wearing football tee shirts is just simply unprofessional. we ordered an appetizer and the server tried to upsell us on that. when only one of us ordered a glass of wine she tried upselling us on a bottle saying it was more economical. we only want 1 glass! her facial expression after declining the upgrades made us feel uncomfortable. she looked angry. we first ordered the bruschetta as an app, which was very good. we both ordered homemade pasta entrees (not all pasta dishes are homemade on the menu). the lobster ravioli was drenched in their pink sauce which covered up any of the other flavors from the ravioli and camouflaged the lobster flavor. the rabbit filled cannelloni was good but way too much cheese on top, again camouflaging the flavors from the stuffing in the cannelloni. we knew going in what the prices were on the menu but after the experience i feel like it was such a waste of money. way too expensive for what you get.

mamma's home.. thisrestaurantis outstanding, the ambiance is stellar, the food is excellent and the chef has more personality than one kitchen can contain. the staff is personable and professional. this is a great family business that you should support and i am ashamed it did not dawn on me sooner to review it. we have been dining here for years and have yet to have anything less than a stellar experience.

spoiled rotten! :-). omg so amazing this is what going to arestaurantis about, they make you feel like the wholerestaurantis yours. so much attention and the food is indescribable other than it's the best ingredients made in the best way. i found this place on urbanspoon brought my girlfriend there for a magical evening we will always remember, she will always remember i got it right this time by picking this place. ;-)

bistro baffi takes care of their regulars. we go to bistro baffi every three or so months knowing that we will be guaranteed an amazing meal with friends. what amazes me is that every time we show up the staff know our names and treat us like royalty. the food is outstanding. the service is close to perfection as one can get. at the end of the dinner they always are free flowing with the digestifs. we always order off the special plate. chef michael hand shops for the seafood and vegetables to create really unique and fantastic dishes. it is amazing that this little find is tucked away in burien.

last night was an exceptional night and i felt strongly that other people needed to know what the team behind bistro baffi are willing to do for their patrons. we were close to the last folks in therestaurantwhen they received a call from one of their regulars. the call was indicating that the regular with their party was well over an hour late for their reservation. despite the time chef michael and his staff stayed late to greet the party. they continued to work late in the night to make sure that every one of their patrons was treated to the impeccable combination of service and fantastic food.

don't take your large group. had an all-round bad experience here in october: waited til now just because we were working with the owner to remedy the problem--to no avail. group of 20, known to be arriving at 5:30 pm and needed to be gone by 7 pm (symphony concert). 1. never given a menu, only a huge list of options orally to the whole table by one waitress (hence no prices seen). 2. main dish not served til 7 pm--most of the group shovels in the food or leaves most uneaten. 3. wine was "topped off" when glasses were half full still (illegal) and another glass charged. 4. quoted group grattuity of 20%--actual bills contained gratuities of 21-25%. 5. online prices shown to be in $17-$27 range, while our group paid at least $30-$35 per entree. 6. when 7:20pm arrived and we were begging for our bills so we could get to the concert (one of the composers was in our group), at least half of the group arrived at the concert after it had begun. after multiple discussions with the owner (who had left therestauranthimself to attend his son's football game), the only remedy offered was a bottle of wine if we "stopped by".

the best in italiano food. we have followed michael vujovich from his firstrestauranton alkai beach 17 years ago to his new location in burien. his food is absolutely the best to be had in italian cuisine. he makes everything from scratch (including daily bread) and with the finest ingredients available. the service is fantastic, the atmosphere very conducive to settling into a fabulous dinner. his tirimisu is famous and was recognized by the space needle early on when they attempted to get michael to make it for them (he did until he discovered they were not following the presentation to his exacting standards!). michael, his wife dinka and son luca all work hard to please every customer. it is well worth the trip to burien to find this restaurant...i promise, you will go back and back again as we do!!

my new favorite restaurant. my sister and i took mom for her birthday diner to bistro baffi. we wanted to impress her with our new favoriterestaurant. mom decided to try the fillet mignon wrapped with prosciutto. my sister and i both had risotto with sea bass and asparagus with their famous "pink sauce". we ended our meal with tiramisu anc chocolate garlic cookie. mom couldn't believe how tasty everything was. she loved the food, but when the chef came out to say hi, she was really tickled.

valentine's day. came based on reviews, we're very disappointed. we weren't told about the set menu, at $80 we should have been. the menu was so completely unimaginative, 2 beef dishes prepared the same way, 2 fish dishes were the same fish, (which was rubbery), a boring chicken and saltimbocca swimming in cheese, nothing authentic about that! filet was good but tiramisu watery. although the server was friendly she had no business on the floor of a "fine dinning" restaurant. space is limited here so i will end by saying it was way over priced, menu was boring and we really feel we were taken advantage of. formerrestaurantowner-chicago il
