past its prime. the birkenhead used to be my favourite pub in the port adelaide area but it has really gone downhill. my partner always orders the steak and it comes out anywhere from blue to overcooked (he orders it medium rare). the mash appears to be of the powdered variety. it's okay for a quick meal - but nothing i would rave about. i have started to redirect family and friends to other places for our celebrations.

steak to die for!. came in for a birthday dinner with a party of about 30. had to order at the bar which suited us fine (no figuring out who owes what at the end). didnt have high expectations. always a little apprehensive about a pub with a huge menu. ordered a steak and it came out perfect. cooked exactly the way i wanted it and obviously rested. wines by the bottle were good and well priced.

fantastic!. went there for my father-in-law's 80th birthday with the family. we were all extremely satisfied with our meals. the prices and portions were very reasonable. the staff were friendly and helpful.
had a fantastic time, would definately recommend.

good mix grill tasty chippies goog onion rings were not winners though enjoyable pub grub
