big bone bbq & wicked wings

best bbq!. just had lunch at big bone and everything was fantastic.. i had the mini combo and the wife had the 3 bone combo.. the mini combo was anything but mini.. theribswere the best i've ever.. and i've lived down south for a couple of summers.. sweet with just enough smokey flavour.. wings were extremely good.. i polished them all even though i'm not the biggest wing fan.. fries were great as well.. my wife and i were both full, even though we ordered the smallest combos on the menu!

the service was great and the owner even came out to check on how our meal was going.. overall we had a wonderful lunch and will be back for sure!

today theribswere very good. sometimes it's not tender enough, but today 75% of them were perfect. the chicken wings are perfect & tasty. coleslaw bland as well as the beans.

true meaning of q. ordered the mini sampler while my diningmate decided on the elvis. hot trays of bbq descended on us like an airdrop of woodsy, peppery, tangy, and sweet relief. pulled pork, soft and consistent, bathed in pan drippings seasoned to add tartness to the rich sauce. fiery honey garlic as well as signature bbq wings arrived hot and crisp, flavoured with liberal helpings of sauces that tasted as imagined.ribswere butchered to perfection and cooked with an expert feel for the delectable balance of smoke, fire, moisture, and saucy marination that makes a good rib. will definitely be by with the bikes this summer.

wednesday february 11, 2015. first, let me say i "like" this place. on our way to horseshoe for a few days, stopped by for an early dinner. we ordered the elvis platter and a brisket sandwich to share between the 2 of us. the portion sizes were good for the price paid, and the flavour of the meat was good, good smoke ring on my ribs, and all meats (brisket, wings, pulled pork) were cooked to perfection, meaning not dry and fall of the boneribsand wings. i do agree 100% with the negative reviews that improvement is needed with the fries, and sides for that matter. the beans were similar to what i can get out of a can, and the coleslaw lacked any zing, and what is with the cavendish french fries? in saying this, i do recommend this place, but can not give it an a+ for the lack of vision with the sides, but a solid b.

best baked beans around!!!! loved the cornbread. the coleslaw does need a touch of work.

amazing value....amazing food.

recently tried big chris's ..... big bone has them beat - hands down!!!!

mmmmm amazing!!!!. amazingribs- meaty, juicy, saucy.......smoked wings were fantastic. beans were awesome....
'slaw needs a bit more bite!

portions were very big - price was very reasonable.

we'll be back for sure! bestribsever!!!!

love. their signature bbq sauce is to die for. i love the fried chicken wings (dipped in bbq sauce) and the pulled pork (with extra bbq sauce) and even theribsare awesome and i'm not a rib fan. nothing makes me happier these days than ordering an insane amount of food from these guys, calling everyone over to my place and getting messy in the backyard. awesome.

always amazing!!. well done to the team at big bone bbq. i have now been to both the barrie and newmarket store. food is consistently good at both of them. theribsare to die for.... i will continue going back!!!

fantasy burger. all i have to say is wow.... you need to try this burger. easily the best burger in barrie. not sure how big the patty actually is... probably around a half pound though, topped with cheese, peameal bacon and then loaded with pulled pork. this is a must try for every burger lover.....

delicious!. the wings andribsare great! i recommend the smoked wings over the deep fried. many different flavours to choose from as well! :)
fries and beans are good. coleslaw tastes the same as any other coleslaw...
not sure what some people are talking about with respect to the portion size... i have never been able to finish a meal here. maybe these people are not accustomed to "healthy" portion sizes!
also - can\t go wrong with the price! :)

good lunch. had the wings and rib combo. not a lot of food but had very good taste. wings were not as crispy as i like but theribswere juicy and smokey. good service just a little pricy for what you got. i think there were better deals on the menu if you look for them.

totally awesome!. not sure where the people with those nasty reviews ate - but i know it wasn't big bone!!
having been a regular at the newmarket location, i was very excited when i saw the sign at the exhibition saying ' coming soon to barrie!' it was well worth the wait!
you can smell big bone's bbq sauce and smoker before your car's even in park. (if you think it smells great - just wait until you taste those ribs)
even though the new restaurant is bright and clean and the staff eager to help, i still prefer to eat myribsat home - how can anyone not make a mess of themselves with that bbq sauce is beyond me :)

monday mania. the wife and i decide to venture out to this new rib place on monday night for a cheap dinner. the special they had was a full rack ofribsand a pound of wings and a large fries for $25 all in. we decide to go with there famous smoked wings, she suggested that we have the bbq sauce on them. everything was like i imagined if i was in the south. i thought that we would get a small portions of everything but holy crap. i had enough to have for my lunch the next day. we will defiantly be back next monday. thanks guys. p.s you guys need wheel chairs to full.

best bbq in ontario. all i need to say is wow!!!

went to this restaurant just last night.... absolutely amazing. had a rib and wing combo call the big bone i believe. theribswere out of this world..... there is definetly nothing comparable to it within 20km's!!! and the wings..... if you have never tried a smoked chicken wing... these guys do it right!!

if you haven't tried this restaurant yet, i suggest making your way over.... restaurant is decorated beautifully... makes you feel like you are down south eating traditional bbq.... and you can smell it as soon as you walk in!!!
