why this place? he says: in my old stomping ground brissie for greek easter and we thought it’d be agreatoversight to not review a burger whilst we were in town. a fair bit of blogging investigation lead us to bens. she says :  he did all the research for this one and did so well! actually – i did also see it in one of our   instagram  follower pictures – they dogreatbrisbane burger reviews but unfortunately their name escapes me. (sorry person! comment so people can follow you.) what did you order? bb classic burger with candied bacon: $14.50 bb special burger: $11 chilli cheese fries: $10 strawberry jam milkshake: $7 tell us about the classic burger with candied bacon? he says: this was a really good little burger. as the way with so many these days it tasted like an upmarket fast food burger (which is by no means a criticism). the candied bacon was as good as it sounds and is a mandatory addition i would think. i would have preferred the pattie a little more rare and the inclusion of more sauce and cheese but all in all these are minor quibbles. she says: for me, the candied bacon made this burger. sweet and salty is always good and with this burger it added that perfect counterpoint to the almost fast food vibe (which, as he said already mentioned is definitely not a bad thing). i really liked the balance of flavours though – good pickles, nice fresh salady bits. this burger was my favourite of the two for sure. as always we added more aoli – sometimes i think that we would do best if we took our own stash of sauces everywhere. so then, how did you find the bb special burge r ? she says:  this was not such a winner – super salty without a point of difference and lacking the balance of flavours that was sogreatwith the other burger. the sauce distribution throughout the burger was totally off (you can see it in the cross section picture if you are looking for it). i know is a pretty unusual quibble but it made a big difference, because while i got all the s

burgers are alwaysgreatquality and reliably delicious. but the killer is the cherry coke and rum, some genius came up with this - they deserve to be knighted!

i’m a burger fiend and will eat ben’s burgers about 1-2 x week (mostly from ubereats, sometimes i’ll eat in). i’ve tried most burger joints in brisbane city but this is hands down my absolute fav!

i’m super traditional with my burger preferences, i like american style burgers with a beef patty, cheese, tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato sauce, mustard and mayo... so bens’ classic option is basically my ideal burger in real life. in fact, i’m such a fan that i haven’t branched out and tried any of their other options!

if you’re eating in, they have cool, causal surrounds with really good hip hop music... last time i was there my boyfriend was happy because they were playing nba on tv...greatburgers,greatmusic and nba, what more could you want? (in my bf’s opinion lol)

the meat patties are juicy, a good size and seasoned and cooked perfectly. their milk buns which soft, fluffy with just the right amount of chewiness.

they use the classic american sauces, american cheese and have a good arrange of drinks, my favourite being the peanut butter chocolate thickshake and housemade cherry cola. if you’re eating in they have a selection of beer and spiced rum but no wine.

fyi if you’re picky, like having lots of options or like fancy-schmancy non traditional burgers, this is not the place for you. there are no alterations and there are only three burger choices + 1 monthly burger special. but what ben’s lack in options they well and truly make up for in quality. this is the place to go if you want a bloody delicious american style burger.

we're regulars here now. tried the best and keep coming back to ben's burgers and that includes places like in n out and shake shack.greatpatties, love the special sauce and the chili fries are so meaty! both locations and each visit has been consistent with the food!

excellent burgers!greatcrispy delicious chips to compliment their delicious burgers. very well priced...one of my fave places in brisbane.

obsessed with burger shops and have heardgreatthings about ben's, but it's so disappointing that you can't ask for something to be left out of the burger. doesn't make much sense to limit the market to people that enjoy everything in their burgers. feels like excluding people for having a different preference.

great burgers been here a few times and always enjoyed it. the west end shop is doing thatgreati see it empty all the time but the valley shop is rather busy

delicious burger, lush milkshakes and easy service. i eat food and can confirm this is food i will eat again. also nice coffee -greatfor lunch times and casual evening meals.

not sure what the hype is but the burgers aren'tgreatnor are they terrible. similar to a burger you'd make at home. there's better options in the area.

really not a fan of their 'no alterations' policy. i could have lied and said it was a food allergy, but they believe they have perfected the burger so i tried it their way.  definitely not perfection.  good, but notgreatand overpriced for what you get.  best burger in fortitude valley for my $ is greaser.

great menu choices gives you a very easy time to choose from the three options. amazing chips and options for sides and drinks. beer is available and would be agreatdinner location before hitting up the valley.

the burgers are amazing and this place has agreatatmosphere but it seriously kills us if you want take away you can't place a phone order! the wait can be up to 40 minutes especially at friday lunch if you take away and you just have to sit and wait! 
seriously our work place would be doing this every week if phone or online ordering was available. guys pick up your game!!!!!!

yes it's worth the hype! when i land into brisbane it's usually within 24 hours i head to bb's for a special.greatlocation within a hip friendly laneway. brisbane needs more of this sort of venture.

came from melbourne on a work trip, had to try this place as the guys here have a background story and dream of making awesome burgers and food. i ordered the bb classic, fries and homemade cherry cola.
firstly, they're very strict on alternations with burgers, not sure how they get around people with allergies, however they did save me cause i ate their burger as is and it was awesome. meat patty cooked perfectly,greatbalance of ingredients including cheese, pickles, special sauce of aoili and onions
fries were good, homemade cherry cola was ok, was expecting something a bit more unique
