ben’s burgers is brisbane’s best. the simplicity of the burgers is its biggest highlight, with soft buns, delicious patties and the perfect condiments. also thefriesare top notch.

went for a weekend in brisbane for a friends wedding so thought i would finally try the famed ben’s burgers. to put it simply it didn’t disappoint.

on order: classic burger, friesand side of special sauce

i had a bite of the classic and it was good but something was definitely lacking to bring it all together. i added the special sauce and wow.

this was one tasty burger! patty was moist juicy and cooked a perfect medium rare, the bun was one of the best i’ve tasted.

overall bens burgers deserves the 5 stars only negative i would give is there isn’t one in melbourne!

we're regulars here now. tried the best and keep coming back to ben's burgers and that includes places like in n out and shake shack. great patties, love the special sauce and the chilifriesare so meaty! both locations and each visit has been consistent with the food!

best burgers in brisbane, testes like an authentic american burger. by far better than burger urge, grilled, and miel container. i recommend getting the cheesy burger well done. the chicken burger is also very good but not as filling. the chillifriesand shakes are are also authentic.

i'm all sad and twisted up that queensland are getting towelled by the blues, so i thought i'd reminisce about happier times. ben's burgers is simple and effective. not much choice on the menu, but there doesn't need to be when it tastes this good. the highlight for me was the strawberry jam milkshake that tasted like a liquefied macca's sundae. this is a good thing. the wife thought her vege burger was a bit soggy, but it sounded like a personal problem to me. also, the chillifriesaren't just hot – there's meat involved. also a fail for my lady, but just meant more food for big poppa. result.

an ok burger place, that is worth a try. i had a classic burger, chillifriesand homemade cherry cola coke.

classic burger had a nice taste through the meat and the balance of sauce to bun was spot on. the bun itself was too sweet and felt sticky in the mouth -definitely a let down. overall a nice burger, though i've had better.

chillifrieswere disappointing. thefrieswere $8 for a kiddie sized bowl of chips, with chilli mince sauce and a sprinkling of cheese. the ratio of chips - these were chips, not fries- to mince was unbalanced and the side is way over priced. get the regular fries, it will last longer.

nothing special about the homemade cherry cola, just coka cola out of the bottle with added post mix cherry syrup.

overall ben's burgers was a nice detour off busy ann's road. the atmosphere was inviting and felt like a cozy nook to share a meal with friends.

food- 3/5

definitely an oversupply of burger shops in brisbane but ben's do it pretty well. compared to other places out there it's definitely one of the best. burgers are tasty, well cooked and thefriesare pretty good. like most burger shops it's way over priced for what you get - 4.00 for fries! 4.00 when you add bacon. i would say though that the burgers are tasty.

the burger's are good... not amazing. thefrieswere a bit salty. however, their milkshakes are amazing!

the place is a cute little joint tucked away in an alley way in the valley... very trendy.

so incredibly disappointed with my first (and only) visit. had heard so many good things about ben's burgers, but they didn't match my experience.

wasn't very hungry but really fancied some hot chips on my way home from a late meeting. so ordered the $4 side offriesplus $1 aioli to take away, and paid $5. waited for about 12 minutes and couldn't understand why, when they could just cook my chips when they were cooking chips for meal orders made before mine. also the place wasn't full. finally got my order, quickly checked in the bag that my sauce was there, then continued my walk home.

it was another 15 mins before i went to eat my chips, but to my surprise when i opened the box it was loaded chilli cheese fries. initially i thought 'hey, i got a more expensive order but paid for just regularfries- bargain!'. but that thought very quickly disappeared. what i fancied, what i wanted to eat, what i had ordered were just regular fries. i didn't want chips with stuff on it. and more than that, i can't really eat cheese because it often makes me ill! so i couldn't even eat them anyway!

i did try a taste just out of curiosity, as it was far too late to go back and complain by that point. the chilli wasn't even nice! it was dry, with not much flavour and the whole combination was overly salty (do they put salt on the chips as well as the chilli & cheese?!).

needless to say my whole first time experience was frustrating and incredibly disappointing. and i tried immediately putting my comments on facebook to register my complaint, only to discover that no-one can see posts made by customers. so no-one can see any negative feedback on their page. clever!

the hype is real! ben's burgers only has three burgers on the menu, which is fine when they absolutely nail them! i had the classic - the bun was a good size for the patty, everything was in perfect proportion. the patty was amazing, beautifully flavoursome and moist and the condiments were plentiful. we also had the chillifrieswhich were perfectly spicy. the house ginger ale is an experience too - a very dry drink that is unmistakably gingery, yum!

i can't wait to come back and try the other burgers!

epic. classic flavours, classic burgers. the "special" burger definitely the winner for those who don't mind a bit of heat! chillifriesare a must and the milkshakes definitely bring all the boys to the yard! as for wendy's, damn right - they're better than yours! seating can sometimes be a bit tricky if the place is busy but it doesn't take long to get comfortable once your chin deep in burger!

came from melbourne on a work trip, had to try this place as the guys here have a background story and dream of making awesome burgers and food. i ordered the bb classic, friesand homemade cherry cola.
firstly, they're very strict on alternations with burgers, not sure how they get around people with allergies, however they did save me cause i ate their burger as is and it was awesome. meat patty cooked perfectly, great balance of ingredients including cheese, pickles, special sauce of aoili and onions
fries were good, homemade cherry cola was ok, was expecting something a bit more unique
overall great service, awesome burger, would come back

by far the best burgers i've had in brisbane. chillifriesare also always great. need to visit a few times so you can try a bit of everything. vanilla bean milkshake is delicious!
cool atmosphere (plus smells amazing when they are brewing up their homemade ginger beer) worth venturing into the valley for, everyone i've brought here has loved it.
