possibly the worst dinner i have ever been served!!!. from the minute we walked in last saturday evening it was obvious that this place is extremely unorganized. the staff didn't know how to take orders and it took ages to order drinks although it was almost empty. also for some reason they have a massive wine list but do not sell and cab sav by the glass...???

when it came to food we ordered, with difficulty, at the bar (no table service where we were sitting, although the waitress was just standing around two meters from us doing nothing). i was not very happy to see that the over-pricedsteakonly comes with chips and you have to pay $10 extra for a salad.

when our meals arrived we were given oursteakon a plate with a tiny pot of very runny sauce and then we waited...10 minutes until our salad arrived which consisted of some rocket, cheese and 6 slices of pear wtf and then we waited another 5 minutes for our chips to arrive. it was really obvious that our steaks were extremely overcooked just by looking at them. the medium rare and medium were only told apart by a small pink hue that graced the middle of one of them. they were tough, dry and inedible. the tiny (and i mean tiny, the size of a shot glass) sauce had no flavour, no hint of mushroom, nothing...

our friends meals were of the same standard. cooked until dry and not tasty at all.

all in all eating here was a horrible experience and none of us will return. i am surprised they are still in business as there are so many great restaurants at portside and belvedere is definitely not one of them.

the only good thing was the manager refunded our meals. so thank you.

cossimo and his staff were great on a tuesday night , the salmon bruschetta and rib bonesteakwere a delight. cooked perfectly at medium rare.

well done belvedere!

the view over the river is also a
fantastic atmosphere, even though i dined alone. next time i’ll bring up the family.

had lunch here recently. service was poor. had to keep signalling to waiter to attend to us.steakand vegetables were good but fries were over cooked, oily and unpleasant. the music was way too loud and the staff refused to turn down. actually the music was not actually music, just a string of electronic sounds on a never ending loop. this place could be amazing with more attention to the customer experience. disappointed.

love the location here. the staff have amazing accents which may explain why all of our steaks, even though we wanted them all cooked a different way, all came out together looking the same. mine was a little under for my liking but would have it been cooked as per my request it would have been one of the best i've ever had. not badly priced for hamilton although you do not get any salad or veges with yoursteakand it only comes withsteakfries - no other options are available.

we came in expecting bar food, to find a small diverse menu. awesome layout and friendly staff, we had a french waitress who was attentive and friendly. we ordered rare pasture fedsteakand it was amazing. maybe a tad expensive but that is ascot/portside for you. will definetly go there again for special occasions as the price is quite high. but otherwise way better value than the italian restaurant across which i would never eat at again.

hands down the worst restaurant i've been to in brisbane. staff were so rude, patronizing and downright creepy. they were aggressive and pushy the minute we walked in. the food was way overpriced and nothing special. could get a bettersteakat the local. one star is very generous. i left this restaurant absolutely disgusted. hospitality at the very worst. never again.

do not recommend in winter if you generally like to feel comfortable and warm while enjoying your meal. this place was freezing cold (inside). i was told by staff, who really could not care less, there was no heating only air conditioning. looking around the restaurant the majority of patrons were having their meals dressed in winter coats. personally this made my dining experience very uncomfortable. meals were ok, nothing great for the high prices charged.steakis accompanied by chips in a take-away cup and any salad/veg you have to buy extra as a side. so cold, didn't even stay for dessert. won't be returning.

excellent food and service. i have been meaning to write this for a while. we have eaten at belvedere for both lunch and dinner on a few occasions. the food is always well presented and delucious and the staff are very professional. i had my son's birthday in the function room and i could not fault anybody or anything. i mostly order the pork belly with a sav blanc and of course a dessert. the other members of my family enjoy thesteakand pasta dishes. a great restaurant in a great location. :)

disappointing. unfortunately thesteakwas undercooked to the extent of being cold in the middle. thesteak(at over $40) was served without any salad, simply plonked on an otherwise empty plate. the wait staff however were quick to arrange for it to be reheated.

the prawn pasta advertised on the menu was unavailable, so i tried an alternative, being steamed clams and pasta. the clams were miniscule.

on the plus side, the wait staff were extremely attentive and helpful. the drinks were generous in size. on balance, a disappointing experience for $150, but we may just have got them on a bad night.

well what a rip! $49 for a .... well what a rip!
$49 for a rib fillet as thick as 3 sheets of newspaper. i ordered med rare and got well done, sent it back and the 2nd time round it came well done. presentation was plain terriblesteakand chips and nothing else. for $50?
tap beer was $8.50 for the smallest beer glass i have ever seen.
service was great, they tried hard, but food was just poor and way too expensive.

wouldn't consider going here again. service was slack and waiters difficult to understand. ordered oysters for entree and we both ordered steak. oysters took a while to come out but steaks even longer. steaks when they finally arrived were cold sent them back 3 times and all they did was kept cooking them so instead of medium we got well done. could have cooked it better ourselves for a $40 steak. manager gave us complimentary dessert which we would have preferred a discount on our bill. suggest getting chefs that know how to cook asteakproperly.

terrible, terrible, terrible!! service here was appalling. we had to find the waiter ourselves to ask him if we could order rather than the waiter attending to us. when we finally did manage to place our orders it took 1 hour 20 minutes to receive our meals. i ordered mysteakmedium rare and it came out extremely well done. this from a restaurant who's apparent claim to fame are their steaks. sent it back and told the waiter not to bother bringing out a replacement as didn't want to wait another hour. spoke to the owner about the poor service and poor meal quality and was pretty much brushed off. will never return and suggest you try one of the many other surrounding restaurants in the area.

never disappoints. i am a big fan of belvedere. i've eaten here a few times and always been impressed. the combinations of excellent service and good food (once i had the most amazing mushroom side dish here!). anyway my partner and i dined on wednesday evening and as usual the french manager and his team treated us the way all restaurant should. now for the food: entrées were oysters and liver pate. the pate missed a bit of bread and would have probably preferred a baguette rather than a brioche. oysters were fresh.
mains weresteakand gnocchi. thesteakwas cooked perfectly and was tender. the home made gnocchi was also cooked perfectly and was very filling.
meals were accompanied by good quality wine. service was attentive and professional. i'll keep coming back.

impressive bar & grill. i am thoroughly impressed with the ambiance, fantastic service and beautifully well presented food. we went to thissteakhouse on the friday night and found this place amazing. it's an authentic and classysteakhouse. we were greeted by a young manager/owner?? that kept coming checking on us during the dinner, and that made us felt special. our waiter was a young and lovely young lady who took care of us like nowhere in brisbane. the food was authentic and succulent, in good proportions. i had the baramundi served with a fennel sauce which was really nice, my husband had a huge rib on the bone that looked delicious. the service was delicate and full of attention (only exception it was a bit slow on the drink, they took some time to come, but being there was just relaxing and laid back), a wine selection that is quite impressive and maybe a bit confusing. underground parking was a big plus. this little gem was our conversation topic during the drive back. i'll definitely go back with friends to impress and indulge.

a lovely lunch..... i was a guest celebrating a special occasion with friends. the service we received was excellent, friendly and efficient. i enjoyed the menu items i chose, caesar salad followed bysteakwith roast potatoes. dishes of beautifully seasoned vegetables were set out on the table, along with dishes of roast potatoes. the flavours were wonderful. the meal was great value for money, as we were offered champagne on arrival, followed by wine offered throughout the meal, plus still or sparkling water. at the end of the meal, along with tea or coffee, platters of complimentary hand made sweets were offered, and they were wonderful! all this for around $55. the owner or manager was on hand, and
obviously takes pride in what he and his team do. i would definitely recommend and would return.
