the best tandoori chicken and fried fish in amritsar. if u are a foodie and u are in amritsar u just cannot miss eating here. amazing food. we ordered tandoori chicken and fried fish and just relished it. the best part is u can see yourfoodbeing cooked outside as the cook prepares yourfoodon a live tawa and frying pan.

damages to the pocket- rs 800 (approx us$ 12 )

overall rating - 4 on 5 stars.

beera chicken , i heard this name for the first time after it was featured in the famous highway on my plate on ndtv good times.ever since i ve been craving to visit this place, having missed visiting it while being in amritsar on a couple of occasions. it is located on the majithia road and the place is easy to spot after crossing the trillium mall.
there is not much to write about the ambiance of this place. the eatery is divided in two sections owned by the same family with very limited and ordinary seating. so it is recommended you order thefoodwhile sitting in the car and they will willingly serve you,or you can just get thefoodpacked for a take away.
we ordered a mutton champ and a portion of chicken tikka, and as soon as i took the first bite i knew why beera chicken is immensely famous. the mutton champ had crispness from outside and was extremely flavorful. the chicken tikka was succulent and spiced to perfection. the tangy pudina chutney and lemony onions made a great accompaniment. later had a keema naan which was served with gravy and was loaded with butter. it was amazingly delicious.
t o be honest, you will miss something if you do not visit beera chicken while visiting amritsar. go to this place and be assured that the awesome non vegfoodwill pull you back towards it.

must try: mutton champ
chicken tikka tandoori
keema naan

beera chicken corner has very crisp menu with limited offerings.

the chicken offerings are better than most of the other options in amritsar. we ordered thefoodto our hotel

basis the review and personal experience i urge you to try out the chicken tikka and fish tikka (amritsari)

the gravy is far more oily though hence prefer to suggest tandoor items

beera chilli corner on majitha road not too far away from makhan is another famous outlet for non vegetarianfoodlovers. this place isn't fancy if that's what you are looking for as the ambience is pretty average with a small seating though it seems they are now trying to expand, add more seating. i ordered the famous roast chicken and i can vouch it's one of the best quality chicken i have had. the chicken is well spiced and marinated and cooked well in tandoor and unlike most tandoori chicken this does taste different and unique. it can beat a lot of places when it comes to roasted chicken and that's what still keeps this small outlet amongst the best in amritsar. what enhances the taste of the chicken is the mint chutney served along with onions, cucumber and lemon.

the word streetfoodin india is synonymous for it's culture. once on the road, its a big festival out there. outlets like these are a jewel in the big bulky indian streetfoodcrown.

amritsar is a place which is known for the quality offoodand the whole heartedness with which its served. this place is a delight for non vegetarians. exactly had what they had written in their menu under the "famous for" section.

the potion of keema naan was enormous, my friends could only digest one of them. i went an extra mile and finished three. not only it was big in size it was big in taste too. i really love eating keema naan and have tried it at lot of outlets in delhi, what i had here was the best that i have ever had. whenever we plan a trip to amritsar, this is the second place after golden temple which comes to my mind. i always recommend this place to all my friends whenever they are travelling to amritsar.

we reached here really late around closing time ...and the rickshaw wala forcing us to go to makhan some really expensive hotel beside . (probably for the commisions they get for getting tourists)
dont always listen to them manipulating you m try out local places like beera ...which had yummy amritsari fish and amazing naans with soft succulent chicken gravy !!!!
we were so full with quantity that they gave us for nominal.prices !!! that arguing with the rick wala about dropping us at beera was worth it !!!
definitely do try this place for budget yummfoodwhen.u are in amritsar !!

beera chicken house is a must visit for all lovers of tandoori/roast chicken. the ambience is basic but thefoodis out of this world. we had the famous roast chicken which is succulent, delectable & finger-licking delicious - the spices & flavour were excellent & very different from any other tandoori chicken we ever had. the chicken keema paratha was delicious as well. must haves if you want to relish
excellent chicken fare in amritsar city. putting this on my food-map for more visits when in the city again.

27 october 2021

so as i mentioned i visited amritsar last days and also hadfoodat many joints.

beera was highly recommended with one of our fried from amritsar itself, but thefoodhere was hopeless.

the amritsari fish was not amritsari as we have been eating, the butter chicken was just a watery chicken curry, the tandoori chicken was roasted chicken even we asked while ordering, the butter nan was horrible....

all in all not had a good experience,

however best wishes

first thing first - don’t expect a clean and comfortable sitting. it’s just like a dhaba. non-vegfoodis ok. quantity is good and prices are less compared to makhan fish. i tried chicken tikka masala which had strong flavour of ginger n garlic but was ok. breads were hot and crisp just what i ordered. service was a bit slow. would try the famous roasted chicken next time.
