best coffee around! huge variety of differentbeansand filter coffee methods, incredible cappuccinos. the baristas at both this outlet and the one in braamfontein are extremely well informed and are friendly! i've loved this place, since day one. never a disappointment.

bean there coffee, in my opinion is of the best in the country! this specific shop has the roastery that supplies and roasts all thebeansthat are sold to other coffee shops that use bean there coffee. it's a beautifully, contemporary shop which is nice and quaint! perfect for a business meeting which there were plenty of and a coffee date with friends. unique and trendy will be returning.

all their coffee is acquired through fair trade and is purely africa coffee.

i enjoy this space for a quick chat with a friend on the way to work or somewhere to catch up with work. the decor of the place, plays a big part for me and the quirky bicycle on the wall and other little details adds to the ambiance of the space.

if you feeling peckish grab a bite from one of the spaces around the store.

what a friendly little coffee shop had an africano and the person i was with got a pícolo. the coffee is pretty good with option to get your ownbeansto take home and get even more addicted to coffee. the vibe is great their home made cakes (cheese and carrot are divine) definitely a gem little coffee place worth the visit.

wow. i had heard good things about this place, and it sure did live up to it's reputation. didn't have anything to eat, and never given a rating so high based on a single latte. bean there is well deserving of the surrounding hype. the coffee is delicious and fair trade too. the sell theirbeansthere too; priced between r75 and r85 per 250 gram bag. i bought some coffee on the way out and they were kind enough to grind it for me too.
friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. i saw that you can also rent out their separate meeting area for r150 an hour.

good quality coffee in a lively space….

in love with the aroma of freshbeansand that roast coffee which fills the coffee shop, that aroma on is enough to make any coffee lover sit down or grab a cup. the staff is very friendly and lively, great energy. i had an opportunity to chat with one of the baristas who kindly gave me a crush course on making a americano n grinding beans. 

ended up spending my saturday afternoon chilling on the couch indulging and enjoying their awesome coffee.

always leave bean there with a smile, no disappointment, quality cup of coffee.

what is not to like? the smell of roasting coffee brings me so much happiness as i get closer to this wonderful cafe. such a cool atmosphere! the staff is friendly and warm.

you can get freshly roasted coffeebeansor grounds to go! how cool is that? and their cappuccino is awesome. i love their iced latte as well. i just wish it wasn't a bit far from my house... but i make an effort to come here as often as i can. :)

i dont know what it is about this place but they cant do wrong. everytime i go there its perfect. probably the best coffee in joburg. between this and doubleshot in bramfontein it's probably an equal draw. but ive had more interesting flavorbeansfrom here. perfectly balanced cappuccinos - not overly milky/creamy. their carrot cake is pretty amazing too...and im not even a carrot cake kinda guy lol

a very simple yet effective set up, crisp and clean with large assortments of coffeebeanson show. i have not eaten here, but the coffee is brewed to perfection. staff are friendly and very helpful. a lovely place for a small business meeting, with a separate room for r150/hr for hire.

as you walk in the aromas hit you and the view of thebeansis delightful. always a good cuppa, but there isn't always somewhere to sit, the free wifi draws in the laptop bearing, long sitting, coffee drinking kind. it's a great place to work away from the office.

absolutely the best cappuccino in jozi!!! the crema is perfect and the foam is thick and creamy. friendly service and the only place i buy my coffeebeansfor home.

love, love, love bean there! nothing better than walking through 44 stanley and smelling the aromas of roastingbeansto whet your appetite for what's in store. the coffee is incredible as are the baristas who, as well as being super passionate, have also won numerous awards. we try get a spot in their tiny courtyard to soak in the sun while enjoying some of their superb coffee. #thejoburgfoodie

bean there roasts some really delicious fair trade coffee!

tucked away in the little corner of 44 stanley, the tastfully decorated coffee shop not only prepares all kinds of heavenly coffee, but also roasts and sell thebeansthemselves.

we often get coffeebeansfrom bean there (or some selective pick n pay), where they have quite a couple of selection. the barista are also incredibly helpful, letting you sniff around different beans. they also have a coffee tasting for r40 for those who just can't decide which one they like more! kenya medium roast is our all-time favourite, even some of my non-coffee friends love it!

they also sell a lot of coffee related products, i.e. mocha pot, grinder, machines, at a much lower price than other retail stores we visted. it's just a really nice place to sit around and relax with some good hot delicious drinks ;)

bottomline: love it.

i love this place!!
it is so relaxed and trendy at the same time. it is located almost centrally to everything.
the frozen latte here is the most delicious thing in the world! made with whipped cream and condensed milk!
but besides the fantastic drinks, the staff here are wonderful too! very knowledgeable and willing to educate you about everything coffee.
they also roast their own beans, which i get to brew at home. they're so good, even my office orders bean therebeansfor our coffee machines.
you will definitely not regret popping into bean there.
