bean there has to be one of the best coffee houses in south africa. with its origins in 44 stanley, i spent a considerable amount of time as a student meeting friends or taking a break from studying, enjoying the fresh coffee aromas.

since this time,beanthere has exploded into a coffee empire (of sorts). their coffee is now freely available all over the country. they have opened an incredibly roastery in cape town. and their growth is fully justified.beanthere isn’t just about offering you the perfectly roasted bean, expertly ground and skilfully brewed, there guys are passionate about the coffee, about the trade, about the people and about the future. they want to ensure we are able keep enjoying this coffee for the foreseeable future, and in some way that just makes the coffee taste a little better.

whilebeanthere does offer a small selection of pasties and biscuits, you aren’t here for the treats, you visitbeanthere for the coffee, for the beautiful smell, the authentic experience, and the great vibe.

bean there coffee, in my opinion is of the best in the country! this specific shop has the roastery that supplies and roasts all the beans that are sold to other coffee shops that usebeanthere coffee. it's a beautifully, contemporary shop which is nice and quaint! perfect for a business meeting which there were plenty of and a coffee date with friends. unique and trendy will be returning.

by far the best coffee shop in joburg. simphiwe and thabo are, by my reckoning at least, the best baristas around.

wow. i had heard good things about this place, and it sure did live up to it's reputation. didn't have anything to eat, and never given a rating so high based on a single latte.beanthere is well deserving of the surrounding hype. the coffee is delicious and fair trade too. the sell their beans there too; priced between r75 and r85 per 250 gram bag. i bought some coffee on the way out and they were kind enough to grind it for me too.
friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. i saw that you can also rent out their separate meeting area for r150 an hour.

situated in 44 on stanley,beanthere is nestled away in the corner only to be found by a single sign and the smell of delicious brew.beanthere do everything from running a coffee bar to roasting to packaging  to cupping all on sight. they have an array of quality  fair trade coffee and what they do...they do best.

in love with the aroma of fresh beans and that roast coffee which fills the coffee shop, that aroma on is enough to make any coffee lover sit down or grab a cup. the staff is very friendly and lively, great energy. i had an opportunity to chat with one of the baristas who kindly gave me a crush course on making a americano n grinding beans. 

ended up spending my saturday afternoon chilling on the couch indulging and enjoying their awesome coffee.

bean there is a coffee roasters and cafe, hidden in the popular 44 stanley creative precinct in milpark. the space is relaxed with an industrial/artistic theme - think high ceilings, cement screed flooring and rich wooden textures.

apart from the authentic atmosphere, obviously the real attraction is their coffee. being the trustedbeanroasters and suppliers for many establishments around joburg, their product and standards are a cut above the rest.

beverages are expertly made with care and professionalism, and served with a smile.
needless to say, the taste and flavour is basically perfect.

if you makebeanto cup coffee at home, it's definitely worth coming here to buy your beans!

i type this review out of frustration. (terrible for me, excellent forbeanthere) after having a regular dose offbeanthere's cappuccinos over the last two years, i've yet to find a better coffee. over the last month and a half, i've travelled between europe and dubai and have tried an unhealthy amount of coffee in an attempt to find something as satisfying and have failed. i thus patiently await m arrival back home in a few weeks, and plan to head straight tobeanthere from the airport. thanks guys for the consistent, excellent quality coffee and for the great service always. as a bonus, the boston cream cakes are better than those from the actual town of boston. you win on all levels.

walked in just befor they were closing... the barista still encouraged me to try the aeropress (which takes time), he stayed long after closing time explaining to me the process... and about the specificbeani had chosen (they have a great selection). they roast on site... love the industrial feel! great coffee shop... will go whenever i'm in the area!

bean there really knows how to trigger your senses! as you enter the store, your nose is introduced to a strong yet utterly amazing coffee aroma. this is followed by simple decorations that are pleasant to the eye. your coffee is also a sight to see whereby one cannot help but take a picture or two of. the taste of the coffee leaves a long lasting memory in your mouth and heart. and the overall experience leaves a long impression in your heart and mind as well! i'm so thankful to have finally had the chance to go tobeanthere! i would definitely recommend it to everyone! you've now received a loyal customer in the making! :)

without a doubt,beanthere is the best 'mobile office' and socialising coffee shop in joburg. from unbeatable coffee, roasted on site, to the affable staff and comfortable atmosphere, it has few contenders. i've been going there for several years now and don't plan on stopping.

love, love, lovebeanthere! nothing better than walking through 44 stanley and smelling the aromas of roasting beans to whet your appetite for what's in store. the coffee is incredible as are the baristas who, as well as being super passionate, have also won numerous awards. we try get a spot in their tiny courtyard to soak in the sun while enjoying some of their superb coffee. #thejoburgfoodie

bean there roasts some really delicious fair trade coffee!

tucked away in the little corner of 44 stanley, the tastfully decorated coffee shop not only prepares all kinds of heavenly coffee, but also roasts and sell the beans themselves.

we often get coffee beans frombeanthere (or some selective pick n pay), where they have quite a couple of selection. the barista are also incredibly helpful, letting you sniff around different beans. they also have a coffee tasting for r40 for those who just can't decide which one they like more! kenya medium roast is our all-time favourite, even some of my non-coffee friends love it!

they also sell a lot of coffee related products, i.e. mocha pot, grinder, machines, at a much lower price than other retail stores we visted. it's just a really nice place to sit around and relax with some good hot delicious drinks ;)

bottomline: love it.

i love this place!!
it is so relaxed and trendy at the same time. it is located almost centrally to everything.
the frozen latte here is the most delicious thing in the world! made with whipped cream and condensed milk!
but besides the fantastic drinks, the staff here are wonderful too! very knowledgeable and willing to educate you about everything coffee.
they also roast their own beans, which i get to brew at home. they're so good, even my office ordersbeanthere beans for our coffee machines.
you will definitely not regret popping intobeanthere.
