without a doubt, bean there is the best 'mobile office' and socialising coffee shop in joburg. from unbeatable coffee, roasted on site, to the affable staff and comfortable atmosphere, it has few contenders. i've been going there for several years now and don't plan on stopping.

great coffee, friendly baristas, superb atmosphere and overall lovely place. they open from 7:30 on most mornings making it a convenient place to stop en route to work or varsity.

wow wow wow!!! what an amazing place. i must say this is by far the best experience and coffee i've had. unfortunately i can't recall the staff member's name that assisted us but he was passionate about his work. consider me a regular. :-)

one of my favourite places to buy beans! and they're fairtrade from africa. didn't use to be a fan of how they prepared their coffee but its improved (had 3 this morning!) - nice big desk to work at with sexy inspiration from the trendsetter, designer & architect clientele. music 'not my favourite' but headphones not misplaced in a coffice.

absolutely the best cappuccino in jozi!!! the crema is perfect and the foam is thick and creamy. friendly service and the only place i buy my coffee beans for home.

best coffee in jozi, probably in south africa. if you haven't had one of thier coffee's best you get there for one. when you do you will be greated by the smell if them roasting coffee beans!!!

love, love, love bean there! nothing better than walking through 44 stanley and smelling the aromas of roasting beans to whet your appetite for what's in store. the coffee is incredible as are the baristas who, as well as being super passionate, have also won numerous awards. we try get a spot in their tiny courtyard to soak in the sun while enjoying some of their superb coffee. #thejoburgfoodie

excellent coffee, some of the best you can find in joburg! always perfectly made and the smell of roasting coffee is wonderful. no full marks though as the service can be a bit slow at times, a bit annoying when rushing to get to varsity on a monday morning!

i this rocky enjoy coming here on a sunday morning for a delicious cup of fair trade coffee. the staff are all so friendly and the coffee is excellent. highly recommended for a good cup of coffee.

great quality, no fuss coffee for the coffee lover. love the simplicity of the menu and the aromas are heavenly. great decor and pictures that showcase the people and history behind the coffee. i could sit all day in this tucked away cafe. do yourself a favour and pop by for a cuppa!

what a cool place to go for a mind blowing cup of coffee on a sunday morning! problem is they are only open until 12 on a sunday. i would like to see some more options on the menu for a bite to eat.

bean there serves great coffee and the aromas in their shop are amazing. it's situated at 44 stanley which is a treat in its self! watch them roasting the coffee and go explore 44 stanley.

service just ok. good good coffee. good spot. doesn't really have an atmosphere. not much to talk about, but will stop by again.
