bad. go for the atmosphere only! bad service, bad food, bad management, bad....bad.... bad. two hours to get fried shrimp and salads. i also dont know how you could screw up a hamburger.

horrible service, high prices, good food, great atmosphere. my wife and i came in on our boat and sat down at the deck bar. for 20 minutes it was as if we were invisible. wait staff came past us over and over without even acknowledging us. finally i walked to the bar and begged the bartender for some (very expensive) drinks. she acted like she was doing me a big favor to serve me. ordered some appetizers which were pretty good. the tropical atmosphere and potential for some great sunsets cannot be overlooked. boat up restaurant options in st. augustine are few unfortunately. this one has a lot of potential though. aunt kate's is currently a much better choice.

a must for anyone in st augustine. i have been living in st. augustine for the past 3 years and this place is a must every time a family member visits. :) the specialty drinks are amazing, and so is the food. it's such a bright, fun restaurant. love it! and oh by the way,..the view is the best around.

absolutely the worst experience ever. horrible service, incredibly slow waitress, and it just kept getting worse. lack of professionalism from start to finish. don't bring your kids. don't be in a hurry. don't expect a nice restaurant.

we had the worst experience eating at beaches. we had to ask for a waitress to take our order after waiting and watching the wait staff walk all around us. the waitress got our drinks wrong. she brought our food, but didn't know if what i ordered was what actually ended up on my plate. she had to ask someone else if my shrimp were coconut battered or regular. once our food came we never saw a waitress again. our drinks never got refilled...my son didn't even get to finish his food because we couldn't get anyone to refill his drink. the food is mediocre. the service...horrible.

love it. great place, great food, great drinks, great staff, great service. all around good time! being able to pull your boat right up to the place is also a plus! looking forward to spending some time there this summer.

amazing views and help. i have had many meals at beaches at vilano. it is a casual dining experience with excellent views of the ocean and st. augustine. you feel as though you have been transported to an island far away while enjoying well prepared cuisine. the service is friendly and prompt.

love the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the view....but robert the waiter makes you feel like you've known him all your life! he makes your dining experience fun and he's extremely efficient and professional! thank you robert!

good enough!. i've been here multiple times now. good atmosphere (although the music can be a little loud on the weekends). best thing on the menu: fried fish sandwich, and i'd stick to the sandwiches for the most part. crab cakes were pretty awful (small with barely any crab). the service has always been great, though!

the food was good but they were out of several dishes. i got the fish tacos and they were out of the mango sauce for the tacos. they didn’t tell that until they brought out the dish. if i come back, i will ask lots more questions when ordering.

this place was so good that we went back a second timea the potions are huge. yoi womt leave hungry. my favorite appetizer was the baked brie with seasonal fruit!

been here a handful of times, all my waitresses where attentive and nice..food is good never had to send anything back. lemonade is fresh it is not packaged junk. mojitos are always made just the way i like them. i do enjoy their chowder on a cool evening its not canned junk either...my fish cooked nicely and perfect...last time i went we waited an hour but it was mothers day so its expected. had a nice table on the sand and a good meal...this place is reasonably priced for fresh caught fish. i have spent way more money in st augustine for a meal and i am always pleased going here.

my wife and i had an enjoyable late afternoon dinner here. the location is excellent. beaches is located on the water overlooking the tolamato river with a view of a pier, the bridge, and st. augustine in the distance. we started with a smoked fish dip appetizer which was delicious. the flavor of the dip would have been more pronounced if it wasn't served on a seasoned pita chip. for dinner my wife had the shrimp and grits and she very much so enjoyed the dish. plentiful shrimp, excellent seasoning, and served over grit cakes. i would say the grits were very much like polenta. i had the fish tacos with the fresh catch of the day, which was red fish. the tacos were not bad but could have been better. the menu stated that they were seasoned with a bang bang sauce, but i did not really taste much of it. they were also served with cheese on the taco, which i personally don't think belongs on a fish taco. the mango salsa was delicious and balanced out the flavors. the service was not bad, but a bit inattentive considering the restaurant was practically empty. if we make it back to vilano beach we would eat here again.
