water front dining at its best!. if you live in st. augustine and haven't been to beaches, you are missing out on an awesome dining experience. the food and drinks are great, but the view is truly spectacular; like a mini vacation in our own back yard. rick and his team have done an amazing job with this location.

felt like jamaica. my husband, my sister, & i went to beaches on st. patrick's day. it was very crowded. we were reluctant to go due to the bad reviews. we were pleasantly surprised. the service & food was fantastic, as was the atmosphere with the live band on the beach & the waterfront view. our waiter, robert, was top notch. we will definitely return. we've been to almost every restaurant in st. augustine & would rank this among the top. (our little dog ralph enjoyed it too).

location is nice. been there a few times and it was not good service. actually left one time, servers kept walking by, but no one even acknowledge us at the table??? being a local and all the places we have to choose, prices are on the high side.

nice location, horrible food and service. the location is nice, but that is about all that they have going for them. our waitress took our drink order and appetizer order, but was not to be seen again for almost 20 minutes. see apologized about the service, and stated that this was not her section. when she came back for our order we asked her if we could move inside. she took our order and then she sat down at a table with 2 customers and pretty much seemed to forget about us, until again she apologized for the wait and could not seem to give us a definite answer why we were waiting so long when the entire restaurant was empty for the most part. our food finely came and to say the least it was sub-par. i ordered the datil pepper shrimp and grits, which the sauce almost had the consistency of soup, with no spice from datil peppers at all. the sauce tasted more like an alfredo sauce than any other shrimp and grits that i have ever eaten. the blackened fish tacos came out barely blackened and the fries were not cooked all the way through. i was very disappointed and will not return there to eat again.

rude server!. i came here the other day and had lunch. my fish tacos were bland but my wifes fish sandwich was great. very nice atmosphere, i will be coming back to give it another try. our server however, sam wasnt the happiest camper there. she seemed to fake a smile and was short and seemingly rude with everything we had asked her. she took our food and drink order and that was the last we had seen her until we had to look inside for her to get our check. i understand if she was busy, the attentiveness would have been a little better but the restaurant was empty. there were less than 12 customers eating lunch at this time. we had found her sitting down talking at a table inside when we asked for our check. she didnt seem eager to get us our check either. i have had my fair share of bad service (it happens) but this was ranked one of the worse. i hope the management there fixes some issues before our next trip there with friends.

not so happy. yes, my jerk wings were good, the music and atmosphere was nice but that's it! service is terrible, food is pricey and other then the wings nothing special about the menu (no fresh local seafood) why not? love the location but please fix the things i mentioned.

great breakfast!. it's great that beaches is now open for breakfast. i tried the huevos rancheros smothered with some out of this world green chili- so popular in my hometown of denver, and so hard to find in this part of the country.
thanks beaches, in addition to the rest of your fabulous menu items i have found my new favorite breakfast place and what a view!

my last meal before heading home was at a marina-side restaurant called beaches. we missed brunch by 5 minutes (darn!), but i ordered chili shrimp with black beans and was happy with my choice.

great place to eat. kid friendly and the staff was very friendly. nice view and when your done eating you can take a stroll down the city pier. you can sit outside with your toes in the sand and enjoy the view of downtown st. augustine. great place ask for juan, great waiter.

worst mixed drinks in st augustine. i would suggest only ordering beer. the food and service was below average, which was inexcusable considering the place was empty. they advertised live music but there was none. i would skip this place and go to caps.

i ate here for lunch and the food is mediocre with a fairly high price for what it is ... the service wasn't that great the servers were on their cell phones while we sat around around waiting on them to come take our order or bring a check to us. definitely go to 1 of the other great restaurants in town unless you want some ambiance and some beer it does have a nice view

love the fish sandwich and loved eating outside in the new deck area. we go here a lot but, we know the wait staff is a little slow. so, if you are not in a hurry this place is amazing. love the live reggae music also!

great service. went to beaches and what a great place! the view was beautiful! and there was a waitress there who had a smile on her face the entire time. through out the pressure she continued with grace and a bubbly personaility.her name is jeanette, hope to see her there when we return she sure made everything very enjoyable :-)
looking forward to our next visit this summer.

wonderful location, good sandwiches. as locals, we have been several times since they've opened. we have always had very good service, and good burgers while listening to music. relaxed enough to show up after all day on the boat. dock access is a bonus too.

nice views....fair food.... great potential here.... far from fabulous but decent dining....
