beaches at vilano

the environment and service was good. the food was sub-par. the mint was not fresh. tater tots were over cooked. all fried food was over cooked. the burger was under cooked the first time. they didn't replace the patty therefore it came out charred so every now and then there'd be a charred bitter bite. over all, i wouldn't go there for the food but the service and the view.

great atmosphere good food good service. indoor, outdoor, and beach seating. big selection of things to order. we will definitely be back on our next trip.

sucks. went to eat outside, told to check i'm with girl with blue shirt, told her we had 3 people, she said 20 minute wait, said ok, went to bar to get drink. then noticed she was giving out pagers, i said we didn't get a pager, she said you didn't give me your name, we said you never asked our name! we were finally seated, no joke, we waited 1.5 hours for mediocre food, gave us 2 free beets for wait, prices 17.99 lunch, not worth it at all. j

nice lunch in summer. my mom and i went out for a nice lunch. we heard to get there early because it gets busy so we did. we sat outside under an umbrella. it was a beautiful day and the restaurant filled quickly after we got there. i noticed a lot of people didn't enjoy the wet sandy dog walking up to them but the dog never bothered us. my mom had shrimp tacos and i had nachos. we both got a pina colada, the drink we did not like but the food, we did.

good location, good drinks, good food. definitely coming back.

i have no idea how this restaurant has stayed open for this long. i guess if you look at it like a bar where if someone drinks enough- a pack of crackers would be better than anything out of their kitchen. and the "beach" is disgusting. it's man made, on the icw and filled with cigarette butts. add in some really loud, really bad live music and you've got a dream date if you live under the bridge.

worst ever. think fried fiod bad florida restaurant. go to 180 vilano grill if you want to eat in this area.

menu items sounded great but food quality was poor. out of the 12 people in my group only 2 or 3 were happy with their food. atmosphere and drinks were great!

no issue. it's a great location, usually packed and haven't found anything better in the area with the same scenery and atmosphere. ask for rob. he is pretty good and will get you everything you need. we never went unattended when they weren't slammed. the red fish is good as an entree or tacos and the fries and salads are great. the steak medallions and chowder are good. it's a bit pricey, but i have tried other places along the beach at about the same price point and they aren't as good.

good times at beaches. it's always a mini vacation when you go to beaches on vilano. besides being under new management with great food and an awesome atmosphere the outside bar and bartenders put on a show of their own. it's high energy, fun and always the unexpected from the male duo "hirshey and captain america". if you have never been, go check it out. if you are a local/regular, i will see you there! :-)

on the beach. best sunset, best drinks, best bartenders. and a beach!!! these guys behind the bar on the weekend are guys ( and a holly i believe) that i want to party with . i'm sure the food is good too.

much better than the 2013 reviews say. my wife and i went to beaches about 5:30 on 2/28/14. my first time since the place was under another name several years ago. i had the fish sandwich catch of the day with grilled red fish--three other fish options were available, including salmon and two that i can't remember. my wife had fish and chips with a white fish.

even though it was happy hour, the service was excellent. kally was our waitress, and she immediately took our drink orders and answered a couple menu questions. while she was getting the drinks another waitress stopped at the table to ask if someone had already been at the table.

we were in no hurry, but after we placed our order, the meals came in a completely reasonable time. one minor problem was that my wife got fries with her fish when she'd asked for tater tots (but that's a natural error chips are fries). anyway, we flagged down another wait staff and explained the problem. the tater tots showed up in a couple minutes. we both enjoyed our meals, though my wife didn't finish, so she took home one of her fish fillets and the fries she received by mistake. i thought the service was so good that i asked to see the manager to let him know. he turned out to be the same person who took care of the tater tots. i'll certainly go back.

carl @ the tiki bar. my lady friends and i went to the tiki bar on tuesday and had the best time with carl! he was entertaining and kept up with our crazy cocktail concoctions. he's a keeper! hope the next time we are there, which will be often, that carl will be there to wait on us!!

great recommendation. our hotel owner recommended beaches, so, we tried it and we're glad we did. fish tacos was their special that night and that was just what i wanted. my husband tried them, too, and we both loved them as well as the basket full of sweet potato fries with honey. service was good and friendly, and we enjoyed sitting by an open window late in the day. (walked on the pier next door for the actual sunset--beautiful!)

great food and excellent service!! everything was delicious and we will certainly go back.
