b&c's hideout restaurant

really great fried foods.. we've been to b&c's 6+ times. some things we've come to expect...busy place, service from teens, the best thing on the menu is the hand-dipped tenderloin sandwhich bigger than your head. it's a greatplaceto have a cold beer and get your greasy grub on! they do fried goodies really well...like : pickles, onions, sweet potatoes and tenderloins. other foods are a not as remarkable. my medium steak was cooked well, well done. another flop was a steak sandwhich with peppers and onions...not good...barely sauteed toppings. and get this...they bake chicken wings???

local place, great food, friendly people. i eat here about once a month with my family.

if your looking for a little localplaceto eat a tenderloin, steak, or salad- this is theplacefor you. it is a very laid back place. i would give it a definite go.

very good fried food. most of us enjoyed the tenderloin sandwich. not quite head sized, but a good sandwich none the less. fried pickle were extremely hot from cooking, had to wait a few for them to cool off. nice sports bar atmosphere. several tv were in view where we sat. very nice to have in a ruralplacelike new palestine.

if your tastes run to classic deep fried fare, then b&c’s hideout restaurant is definitely theplacefor you. although, if you want to keep your veins and arteries healthy and avoid a trip to your cardiologist before the age of fifty, you’d only visit once in a great while. still, since b&c’s is extremely popular, it just goes to show what a great many hoosiers enjoy eating the most, maybe it’s a comfort food thing.

the restaurant is very clean and the service is great, but the food and flavors are predictable, the tenderloin being a very pleasant exception (it is what i’ll order if i ever return there).

oh, and lest i forget, do not expect to have a draft beer with your tenderloin, because while there is a pub they only serve bottled or canned beer.

the wait was a little long for us on a friday night so we just slipped into the bar for first come, first serve seating.
we actually sat at the bar near the end and were able to take in the entire bar area.the bar staff was also very fun and looked like they actually wanted to be there. cute blonde girl seemed to be running the tables and a really nice guy in a ball cap ran the bar and took care of us. polite and very awesome service. my wife thought the lights were a little to bright for a bar but not a real issue. we saw all types of patrons. older couples, young people , blue and white collar people enjoying the place. i would of liked to have seen hd sports action but that was my only negative.
the food was really good ...they have quite the menu, from salads to sandwiches to steaks. i ordered the pasta dish...wow, it was very large portion...no lunch needed for me the next day. the wife had the tenderloin and it was all that it was cracked up to be. fantastic!!! steak chips with their homemade ranch dressing was right on point.
next time we will visit the dining room. the other negative i just remembered was that thisplaceis not open on sundays :(...rethink this management...loved it anyway...nice job b and c's!!! we will be back

two seniors. we went for the first time to the hideout, and were very impressed. the food is excellent and moderately priced.
the servers are great, however, the wait for our food was a little lengthly, something i hope they work on. theplaceis a nice addition to this area, and so much better than fast food. try it --i think you will like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great food, atmosphere and staff. i have been there twice now and come from the south side of town where restaurants are plentiful. let me tell you thisplaceis worth the trip no matter where you live in indy! the first time i went there for lunch and the food/service was very good. i returned to try the dinner hour and was glad i did. a wine selction made it difficult to choose but i don't think there really could have been a bad choice. the server was able to explain each one to me. the salad was fresh. the petite filet was so tender it melted in my mouth. and the sweet potato fries were home made i think. they tasted superb. it is certainly a hangout and the atmosphere will have me coming back for me visits to try more of the uniquely-named items on the menu. families and couples will certainly enjoy their visit to b&c's hideout.

great!. we live in the neighborhood and are so glad to have this restaurant open! it's super convenient and the entire staff is really fun and friendly! we love it and frequent theplacequite often! the food is great, very reasonably priced, and i'm pretty sure we've all tried about everything on the menu! thank you b&c's!!!

decent food-bad atmosphere. we went there on a sat. at 6 p.m.,and they told us there would be a 15 minute wait ,even though i saw empty tables in the family side.so i went in the bar area,,and saw a couple of empty tables,so we sat in there.the menu was typical bar food,but no chciken fingers or pizza offered.i was also surprised they had no draft beer on tap,and for a very busyplacei find this a huge misstep.theplacewas packed and the noise level was unreal.the stereo system was turned up,like a honky tonk joint at 2 a.m.and the voices of all the people bounced off the dry wall ceilings and walls,and reverberated so loud. my wife and i could not even hear one another.it is basically a house made into a bar/restaurant,and the accoustics are just not made for large crowds of people.we were relieved to walk out of theplaceinto the quiet evening.the food was not anything that had a big wow factor,and the loud and cramped surroundings made this a for sure one and done with us.
