good food. i do like this restaurant as i probably go there at least twice a month. love the breaded tenderloins and mushrooms.

however, last night, i found out that now they charge for the little oz tubs of ranch, mayo, etc. if it doesn't come with your sandwich, you are charged 50 cents. now i don't order these and not use them and i can understand ordering extra and being charged, but i use ranch dressing for my french-fries. the other two people i was with, needed extra mayo. in all we were charged $2 for dipping sauces.
crazy.

but i will say that the waitress did warn us---which i thought was very nice....

really great fried foods.. we've been to b&c's 6+ times. some things we've come to expect...busy place, service from teens, the best thing on the menu is the hand-dipped tenderloin sandwhich bigger than your head. it's a great place to have a cold beer and get your greasy grub on! they do fried goodies really well...like : pickles, onions, sweet potatoes and tenderloins. other foods are a not as remarkable. my medium steak was cooked well, well done. another flop was a steak sandwhich with peppers and onions...not good...barely sauteed toppings. and get this...they bake chicken wings???

get. the. wings. they are so good, and perfectly cooked. i’ve never had a bad meal here, but the boneless wings are my favorite. not much in the way of atmosphere- just a simple little bar/grill, but they do it right. the food is great, and we’ve always had great service.

it is tenderloin week in indianapolis. that means several restaurants, bars and taverns sell tenderloin at a special price. pat got his pork but it wasn’t in indy and it didn’t have a special price. b&c is short for bonnie and clyde so the menu is loaded with outlaw references which didn’t appeal to me but i was game. with the image of an outlaw hideout the real building surprised me. i was expecting a rather run down joint with squeaky floors. what i saw was a fancy house, which is close to what it used to be, a realtor. it was far from being a dive it was an attractive and comfortable joint. for the most part it was your typical bar menu but it had a few spins to make it unique.

good food, value and service. my husband and i have been there twice. both times food and service was really good. this visit i had the tuscan chicken sandwich and black pepper fries.the chicken was cooked perfectly and the fresh basil, tomato and pesto mayo was a delicious combination. the fries were just right, not greasy or soggy. loved them! my husband got the chicken bacon wrap and onion rings. the wrap was huge and very good, onion rings are hand breaded and crispy. we ate everything. the waitress/bartender patiently helped my choose a beer, asking me about what types of beer i liked and making recommendations. we will definitely be returning! also both sandwiches were under $10 including a choice of sides!

avoid the prime rib sandwich. you would do well to avoid the prime rib sandwich. the meat is tough and dry. the little bit of horse radish was yellow. after requesting mayo i was able to get it down. had i not been with friends i would have sent it back. this was the worst sandwich i ever had in my life and i'm 60.

local place, great food, friendly people. i eat here about once a month with my family.

atmosphere: small, friendly

service: pretty good and smiles (go a long way)

if your looking for a little local place to eat a tenderloin, steak, or salad- this is the place for you. it is a very laid back place. i would give it a definite go.

$$ pricey burger $$. call the hideout yesterday 2/13/14 for a carryout order of a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle & mayo. the burger was good, but the price was ridiculous. i paid $9.25 for it. i almost fell over when i heard the price and this was without any side items..........just the hamburger. i'll know better next time i'm hungry. i'll go elsewhere.

dinner on thursday evening. we have eat here at least once every other month with friends. on the last 2 occasions, the food was good (i had a grilled tenderloin sandwiches.) on both occasions the food could have been hotter. the tenderloin was done but not hot and the baked potato wasn't hot enough to melt the butter even after five minutes at the table. while i would go there again with our group to be social, i wouldn't make the suggestion that we go there again.

food is good. servers are pleasant. management extremely incompetent, disorganized and couldn't care less. i would consider eating here as a small group/couple etc. i would not even remotely consider having a large party or group here. they simply cannot handle it and are supremely unconcerned about customer service. i saw them not only treat myself and my guests poorly but several others as well.

thursday, jan 17th, 2014- i would like to add a follow up. i have spoken with nate, the owner and we both definitely agree that this was a one time event predicated by the fact that an honest failure of communication occurred somewhere between the initial set up of the reservation and the occurrence of the dinner. i feel confident after this conversation with the owner that this issue will not occur in the future and any future events will go more smoothly. we will be back. furthermore, this was not posted in return for any discount; the conversation was 46 minutes in length and very productive.

good food. have eaten there many times. food is always good and a nice variety. tenderloins and onion rings are the best, always good. took friends there who were visiting from out of town, so now when they visit they always request to eat at b&c. would highly recommend it.

very good fried food. most of us enjoyed the tenderloin sandwich. not quite head sized, but a good sandwich none the less. fried pickle were extremely hot from cooking, had to wait a few for them to cool off. nice sports bar atmosphere. several tv were in view where we sat. very nice to have in a rural place like new palestine.

if your tastes run to classic deep fried fare, then b&c’s hideout restaurant is definitely the place for you. although, if you want to keep your veins and arteries healthy and avoid a trip to your cardiologist before the age of fifty, you’d only visit once in a great while. still, since b&c’s is extremely popular, it just goes to show what a great many hoosiers enjoy eating the most, maybe it’s a comfort food thing.

the restaurant is very clean and the service is great, but the food and flavors are predictable, the tenderloin being a very pleasant exception (it is what i’ll order if i ever return there).

oh, and lest i forget, do not expect to have a draft beer with your tenderloin, because while there is a pub they only serve bottled or canned beer.

good visit!. we visited on a saturday night with my wife and teen age son. we had a fish sandwich, hamburger, and breaded tenderloin. everyone was happy with their sandwich. i had the tenderloin, which was outstanding. i love tenderloins and this was as good as they get. fresh, hand-breaded in the restaurant, and not beaten so thin that you lose the flavor of the pork. the pork in this sandwich was 3/8 to 1/2 thick and still twice the size of the bun. the breading was light and it was fried properly. it wasn't too greasy. almost perfect. the onion rings were very good. our server, shelby, was nice, attentive, and efficient. all the entrees with one side were about $9 each. very reasonable. we'll be back.

for the most part it was a positive. our table had the tenderloin, which was good! the italian sandwich and steak sandwich, good too! the ranch dressing was really good! the big disappointment was the fish s.w. it was undercooked (had a watery fish taste..probably cause it was umdercooked) the breading on it kept falling apart, making it impossible to eat as a s.w. it was extremely greasy. i only ate 1/3 of it! the 4 of us split the baked apple. it was decent but the dough wasnt cooked thoroughly in all places. service friendly, food had a bit of a wait time. we will try again just no fried fish!!!
