bay 146 - the savera hotel

when i tried book a table with zomato it’s giving table available and i got confirmation also but immediately they are calling and saying that table is not there and on friday they don’t give offer on zomato good. zomato people should post this information on there web site. friday don’t go

it was good. the food quantity and quality was good. shambu serviced well for us. the ice cream and pizza was good. the live counter session was good

we ordered tuna dip wtih bread and some crispy calamari to start with which was okay. then we ordered thai greeny curry with chicken satay and eggs which was good. the place doesn't have a wifi which is a let down and the servers were not very attentive being a sunday may be.

i enjoyed my time there and i would like to personally thank bavesh who was very welcoming and served us with utmost care and showed an amazing professionalism! hope to come back soon for the amazing food. the 1 negative point that i felt was i couldn’t view the match properly from where i sat, if the management could change the seating or something it would be a perfect 5 star.

bay 146 is my most favorite bar in chennai right now. the staff is so friendly, their prices are cheap and they feature some really nice live bands every friday. they aren't fussy about accepting zomato gold unlike a lot of joints i have visited. their outside smoking zone is by far the best i have seen in chennai. whenever i am unsure about where to head out on any given day, i always end up picking bay146 cause their service is always reliable and consistent and they are open to last minute reservations. also the bartender dinesh (in picture) deserves a special mention for always taking care of us and making sure we have a good time every time.

i'm here almost every friday night. not just for the live music but also for the experience. the staff here are exceptionally friendly and on point when it comes to serving the customers with alcohol (and food as well). dinesh (on the right) has always been my go-to bartender at bay146 for years. i would definitely recommend his expertise when it comes to cocktails. the one in the picture is called a "berry cheesecake", a lovely dessert cocktail made by dinesh. you need to try it out.

good food and drinks .. service is attentive ... music on a saturday is bad .... come and see for yourself , there is none grooving to the music or at the least shaking his/ her head to the beats ..

this is good place to chill and have a couple of drinks...

the starters and the cocktails were amazing. i really liked the ambience as well. went there twice and ordered the same cocktail. :)
so this place is a must try place i would say.

they were rude and denied my zomato gold privelage as it was a csk match! plus ridiculous pricing on whiskey eg: black label( more expensive than it grand chola)

lovely and party place but little expensive but it's okay spending sometimes .. had super fun with friends must try and try out with red bull

while we go to bay 146 pretty often for the music, this sunday we experienced their sunday brunch. it was rustic, full of flavour and generous. i was very happy with the value for money.

there were two deals - unlimited dinks plus buffet at 1700 and two mocktails and buffet at 999. i settled for the mocktails buffet.

the starters were all eye watering, runny nose, hitting just the right note spicy. special mention - the mutton chukka, calamari rings, tangdi kabab, prawn wrapped in leaf, some kind of dry roasted beef . it was a non vegetarian' s delight. the menu was not very vegetarian friendly.

i loved the mocktail i got though i don't know it's name. it was citrusy and just perfect. there wasn't any menu to get an idea of the dishes, but the servers were very polite, helpful and attentive. not a minute did they leave is alone. the drinks and the food kept coming. the whole table looked so beautiful.

i passed the main course, but sampled the yummy tomato and white sauce pasta. though i was tempted to try out their desserts i settled for their red velvet waffles and ice cream and immediately fell on love with the homemade fresh vanilla ice cream. it was delicious.

truly it was a wonderful sunday lunch at bay 146.

nice ambience. friendly staff. was expecting a rooftop or a pool side sitting considering the name 'bay'. i felt the music could have been better even though it was playing on the laptop. (no dj on weekdays).

went here for quick meeting over drinks. it is a restaurant alongside swimming pool. it has both inside and outside dining area for smokers. 

we ordered mojitos, sangria and paneer tikka... drinks were great, especially sangria was very tasteful.

a decent place to have drinks and watch live ipl on large screen and you can use zomato gold here however they allow it on selective cocktails not on the complete menu.

went on a weekday afternoon with a long time pal. never seen a lousy place like this. staff was completely uninterested making us feel welcome. items were barely available. if they don’t want walk ins at odd hours, they should rather keep the door shut.
