basil cafe

best restaurant in appleton, wi. basil café is so good in so many ways. the restaurant is clean, comfortable, and inviting. the staff is super friendly and the take-out service is fantastic. now, the food. it is delicious beyond words. you can tell that the food is fresh and is cooked to perfection. the sauces do not taste like they are high in sodium however provide an explosion of flavor. i happen to like my food spicy, and basil café certainly accommodates that. generally, when you eat at other restaurants with similarmenuitems, you leave feeling like you ate unhealthy food. that's certainly not the case at basil café. my favorite dish is the spicy basil with chicken and shrimp at a 3 spice level. all in all, i'd be devastated if this place ever closed!

um wow. this place is just great. there curry is the best in the valley. the green and red curry are delicious and even better is the curry located under the red and green curry on themenu(i forgot the name) but wow was it good. and must go to restraunt.

always a great dining experience. i have been a customer since they opened almost a year ago now. it has been one of my best recommendations for a unique and memorable dining experience, whether it is just for lunch or a nice evening meal. the food is excellent in both presentation and flavor. the staff is very friendly and always there to attend to your needs. they are very knowledgable on all themenuitems. you may even get a surprise visit from sou (joy), the head chef. stop by sometime to enjoy a great meal.

the interior is really nice and they were welcoming. when we sat down we waited at least 15 min before getting our menu. once we had ourmenuthe waitress kept giving us water, but did not take our order. they did this 2 times. finally waiting after 30 minutes they took our order. it took us at least an hour before getting our appetizer and another 30 minute before getting our food. some of the good was good and some of it was way too salty. dissapointed that the service was horrible. if i don't have to i will not come here again.

very impressed. we finally stopped into the basil cafe not knowing what to expect from the exterior. we were blown away by the beautiful interior and greeted with many smiling faces. the owners were more than kind to our small children and very accommodating to our family. themenuwas easily laid out and professional looking with great descriptions. the food was incredible. house salad- a generous size with crisp greens. lemongrass soup- delicious. egg rolls- not greasy. pad thai- best i've ever had. not super sweet, full of flavor, a healthy helping. we've easily paid more for similar dishes elsewhere and were nowhere near as satisfied with our meals. clean bathrooms always wins me over. we will be regulars at the basil cafe from now on. i'm already craving another visit and we just left there 3 hours ago.

i was routinely impressed with basil café’s culinary attention to detail that really helped make everything on themenubetter, and all of this for very reasonable prices ($9-10 entrees are common). i am already excited about the next time i eat at basil café. though they may not have actually named the place after my dog, there is now another reason i love basil.
