i wouldn't have discovered thisplaceif it hadn't been for a fantastic groupon deal.

the deal was 2 fish n chips (correction: 2 generous pieces!) and drinks, which included beer as a choice, for basically half off. seriously the best deal in seattle. the guy who greeted us must have been the owner, and was funny and friendly.

the fish wasn't greasy and the fries were crisp. we had the rock fish and the cod, both excellent but i think i prefer cod. gotta love groupon.placeoffers many discounts and the owner said he's one of the few. independent fish companies left in seattle, and has been here since. 1987.  theplacewill give you a buck off if you bring your drink from

ugh.... we've driven by thisplacefor years and always said we should try it. it's horrible. even their best item, the blackened salmon. we'll never go back.

yuk. our experience here was not good. we haven't had a greasier burger or fish & chips. the french fries must have been frozen as their texture was that of styrofoam. it's almost impossible to get terrible fish in seattle... try thisplaceif that's your goal. not cheap, either. if you try the food, i recommend you do take-out and eat it where there's a little atmosphere instead of the restaurant.

delicious!. urbanspoon reviews took me to ballard brothers last night and what a delicious, surprising treat! despite it's location around two fast food joints, thisplaceis not a nasty fast-food joint! it's clean and friendly and in addition the prices of the food are surprisingly low for the quality you receive. i highly recommend the cajun blackened salmon (amazing) and a basket of classic fish and chips (yummy!). the prices ranged from $6.75 to $7.75 and there was so much food we had to take some home! the owner's a nice guy and plays great music in the restaurant!

enjoyed the food. we had lunch at ballard bros. and really enjoyed the food. we ordered a black & blue burger with hot yummy fries and the grilled salmon sandwich. we were hungry and this was piping hot on a cold wet day and it really made us feel good after we left the place. we will go back again. thanks to the cooks and owners! we would recommend thisplaceto anyone.
