the deal was 2fishn chips (correction: 2 generous pieces!) and drinks, which included beer as a choice, for basically half off. seriously the best deal in seattle. the guy who greeted us must have been the owner, and was funny and friendly.

at 7pm on a monday night, it wasn’t busy but there were customers, mostly taking food to go. the food is made to order, so patience was key. unfortunately, it didn’t help we were hungry. thefishwasn’t greasy and the fries were crisp. we had the rockfishand the cod, both excellent but i think i prefer cod if i were to eat here again.

i wouldn't have discovered this place if it hadn't been for a fantastic groupon deal.

greasy, blandfish& chips; subpar bacon cheeseburger. chowder loaded with flour. no match for ivar's.

burger and fries suprise!. i've had the burger and fries and they were great. big beef patty and crispy fries=$8.00.
resist the urge to go to wendy's next door and order off the 99 cent menu.
currently, they have a groupon for theirfishand chips.

yuk. our experience here was not good. we haven't had a greasier burger orfish& chips. the french fries must have been frozen as their texture was that of styrofoam. it's almost impossible to get terriblefishin seattle... try this place if that's your goal. not cheap, either. if you try the food, i recommend you do take-out and eat it where there's a little atmosphere instead of the restaurant.

the bestfishand chips!. okay. so i've been enjoying the burgers for months. but how about thosefishand chips? guys, these are some of the bestfishand chips i've ever had. large pieces of cod (halibut available) - not just breading. and don't for get the fries. this moves ballard brothers from my very good list to the top! and my little guy gets lunch with dad for free mon-wed? too cool! did i mention their compost-friendly utensils and other items in the store. or how about the owner who mingles with everyone and asks how their meal is and tells his patrons about their ecological efforts? at this dine, seattle's finest parking enforcement officers were enjoying a great lunch. i was so impressed i had to find out who the person behind the counter was. a quick search led me to a little video they did and it was owner andrew greer. how cool is that? andrew, keep thosefishcoming. and the blue cheese burger. and... everything! you just can't get a better lunch or dinner value in ballard!

delicious!. urbanspoon reviews took me to ballard brothers last night and what a delicious, surprising treat! despite it's location around two fast food joints, this place is not a nasty fast-food joint! it's clean and friendly and in addition the prices of the food are surprisingly low for the quality you receive. i highly recommend the cajun blackened salmon (amazing) and a basket of classicfishand chips (yummy!). the prices ranged from $6.75 to $7.75 and there was so much food we had to take some home! the owner's a nice guy and plays great music in the restaurant!

can't believe this is a fast food burger.... the ballard brothers burger is thick, juicy, perfectly cooked... even the bun is above average. i chose the bacon blue cheese burger and it was better than any of the casual dining chains - red robin, etc. i don't know how the wendy's next door stays in business. burger comes with fries for only $7.50. i've had their blackened salmon as well, which was very good. next time i should try thefishand chips or one of the chicken sandwiches but i don't know how i'm going to get past the burgers.

the salmon sandwich is a must!. another fast food standby! i started going to bb when they were still up on 15th avenue in the small space that is now occupied by lunchbox laboratory. what brought me in and brings me back again and again is the fresh salmon sandwich. sure, you can get a good bacon cheeseburger here, or a fried basket offishand chips or clams ... but none of these are the stand out that the salmon sandwich is. oh yeah, the onion rings are better than average as well and you can sub them out for fries.
