i had an unpleasant experience at this outlet. would recommend against paying this place a visit. the servers are very casual and disrespectful. they made me wait half an hour only to bring me problems with my order. and then i asked them for a fix but it took another half an hour until my patience dried out and i cancelled it.

you can find it in front of the ccd at mg marg. good ambience with varieties of food to offer. you can find wide range of pastries, croissants, burgers and pizzas with bacon and beef add ons also you will get coffee and tea. one should try here the english breakfast also. the cappuccino and latte is pretty much the same that we have in other cafes. having said that it is not the best but one of the good cafes in gangtok.

i really liked this place and would like to visit again. the menu is similar to darjeeling keventers. we visited the place in the afternoon. the waiter was a very young boy. ambience is nice. soft music was playing. no one will give you stares to hurry up and place your order. you can relax and take your time.we ordered
1) irish coffee- this is a house speciality. recommend for coffee lovers. people who have coffee occasionally should go for other classic varieties.
2) choco caramel - very heavy and delicious hot drink. once you stir and mix your drink you will find a perfect balance of caramel toffee and chocolate .
3) 2 eggs and bacon platter - two poached eggs, fried bacons, sauted veggies and two pieces of soft bread. i loved the platter. the bacon was one of the best i have had, with the right amount of saltiness and fried perfectly. if you visit here, please do try this platter.
4) apple chunk (forgot the exact name) - a kind of muffin with chunk of apple in its crust. tasted average.
price is pocket-friendly. ratul ghosh

cute little eatery in the heart of gangtok's mg marg; we wanted to try a new place for breakfast and the old english looks of the place attracted us; we ordered the classic english breakfast platter..sausage,toast and omelette and a chicken lasagna, with hot chocolate : there's room for improvement in the food, but the breathtaking views of the kanchenjunga from our table more than makes up for it.it's kind of modelled itself after glenary's in darjeeling, but they have to work on their kitchen to catch up to them.the staff is very young, friendly and make you feel very welcome. so if you're looking forward to  spend some quality time with friends for a lazy morning brunch,on a pleasant, sunny winter morning, definitely head to baker's cafe

i loved their choclate milkshake most.

legendary place..worth a visit..
the fresh aroma will welcome you..the ambience is worth a watch..
the irish coffee was royal in taste..a tad bit dilute..however i liked the combo of cold icecream floating on a whiskey based brew..
the almond muffin was good..aroma was good..texture soft..
the pork sausages sautted..was a lovely platter..a tad bit quantity would have done no harm...loved the crisp..loved the taste..
the chicken lassagna was lovely..creamy and cheese oozed out...
worth a visit

nice ambience... good aroma as you enter the cafe... the hot drinks we ordered were yummy ...but food was strictly ok. so visiting..just stick to cafes and bakery items ... as the name suggests... pizza was ok.. panini was pathetic... au gratin was nothing like au gratin .., bt irish coffee ..hazel nut and hot chocolate was yummy and so was the desert

they have a really good variety, not just baked goods but also a large variety of popular items like pizza, grilled sandwich etc and a good place to take a break from the same set of momos, noodles and maggi if you are a tourist in gangtok. they close by 8 pm or so i think and are very strict on the timings. we saw a few really disappointing people go back empty handed.

i read so many good reviews of this place that i had to visit this resaturant in gantok during our gurudongmar trip.

the day we returned to gantok from gurudongmar, we just dropped our luggage in the hotel and left for this restaurant to have some good food and truly speaking we were not dissappointed at all.

we ordered:-

mushroom and chicken pizza- this was really good with sufficient quantity of toppings.

sauted chicken sausages- this was really yum and sauted very well.

darjeeling tea and cardamom tea- they provided tea bags and was ok

red velvet pastry- this was fresh and soft.

the location of this  is on mg road and very easy to locate. overall this is a very well decorated restaurant with good food. would definitely visit on our next trip to gantok to try their other dishes.

well if you're in gangtok and want to spend some quiet time admiring nature and life, this place is a must visit. it is one of the prettiest cafes i have seen. we visited this place thrice and ordered a bunch of stuff:

blueberry muffin: tasty and different from classic muffins in presentation.

lemon cheesecake: mild, cheesy and lemony.

honey ginger lemon: this was is really refreshing.

rumball: classic dessert.

hazelnut latte: tasty but the hazelnut flavour is very mild, hardly could be felt.

coconut pastry: a classic pastry with coconut flakes.

club burger: very meaty, cheesy and tasty. it even had a twist of pineapple and came with chips.

2 eggs & bacon platter: crispy bacon.

bacon, tomato cheese grilled sandwich: did not like much.

ginger fizz: pretty refreshing.

the best thing about this cafe is its view. on a clear sunny day you might even catch a glimpse of kanchenjunga. if in gangtok do visit this place once.
