baker's cafe

after the busy, tiring day, i was looking for a cosy place to end the night and there it stood before me-baker’s café, a café cum bakery in the heart of gangtok. and it was perfect. the décor, the theme and the food everything here was great. i bought few baked items for the next day breakfast- cup cake, muffin, chocolate cookie and choco bun. all were very yummy. but, being a very busy bakery in the city, the service for the baked items were a bit slow.

a must try.

this is the most overrated place i have ever been to. ambience and view is good, but you can't eat good view!
food is pathetic. i tried burger, pasta and fries, they managed to mess up all three of them.

while on mg marg we tried some of their pastries, the prices were very affordable, everything was in the range of 60-90 bucks.
they tasted fresh, the cheesecake tasted more like a usual pastry but for the price it was not bad.

visited this place sometime back. nice and neat ambiance. quick service. we had pasta, pastries, pizza, lemon ice tea, coffee, donut's, milkshake, etc as we were a big group. staff was good. must visit !!

it was a beautiful cafe with a perfect view. service was good. i ordered spring roll and they were pathetic. they were too oily but coffee were delicious. i find it overhyped.

nice place to sit and talk. their food is good and coffee is nirvana.

i loved the alfredo pasta and veg burger i had here.

prices too are nominal.

go here without a thought for a coffee and tasty food.

this place really looks plush and on lonely planet it is also known as a must visit place..
in my opinion though it's a very crowded place servers don't have time to answer your queries and nor even their pastries taste great i threw whatever i bought

went here for dinner last night. the ambience of the place was really nice which deserves 4 stars but the food was ok. i had the black tea which was a normal tea bag. nothing great. then i had the mozzarella and grilled vegetables panini sandwich. the sandwich was pretty bad. the only vegetables were carrot and beans which don’t go well with the bread and mozzarella. it also had far too much pepper.
the pizzas seemed to be very popular. maybe they’re better.

the food here is horrible. french toast was basically plain bread and banana. coffee is decent. the view from this cafe is what we can visit this place for. it is located the the mg marg.

it became our fav spot for spending early evenings be it after day of sight seeing or shopping.
ambience is very cozy and comfortable
we ordered cinnamon coffee, irish coffee & hot chocolate. all of them were very nice but their hot chocolate is the best 😍, perfect for the freezing cold weather. its right on the mg road market. do visit.

this is a must visit place in gangtok mg road.
the cafe has good eating options and pretty reasonable.
we just ordered irish coffee and caramel latte which were pretty decent in taste.
the best thing about the place is the wooden decor amd ambience and few seats come with a mountain view.
service is quick and staff is courteous.

the best place in gangtok... a must must visit... the ambience, decor, staffs, service everything is on point... even the view... on one side there is view of mountains...and on the other side.. the view of mg marg..
during the evening... it is quite crowded.. and one might find it difficult to get a place to seat...
of my 3days trip .. i visited this place twice..
•pork platter- it had bacon, ham, chips, sunny side up, sausages.
•ham and cheese burger- the best burger i tasted till date... recommended
coming to pastries..
• chocolate mousse- so, i tasted better mousses before.. it had a smell of coconut oil... some may not like it.
• chocolate praline- it tasted good..
• chocolate cookies- the best chocolate cookie till date... it had chunks of chocolates that melted in mouth.... it tasted best with the hot chocolate..
• almond chocolates(handmade)- i even packed them for my home.
now... the beverages...
• hot chocolate- i can die for this... it tasted soo good... it was so chocolaty... even i am still drooling... highly recommended.
• cappuccino- good..
• mocha java- it tasted really good..
• irish coffee- i personally dont like irish coffee... so it was so so for me..
this place closes a bit early.. by 7:25pm..so visit accordingly.
a must visit...when you are in gangtok..👌👍

this place was the highlight of my visit to gangtok. i stayed there for 3 days and made sure i visited bakers cafe on all 3 days . amazing well done up place , situated on the 1st floor but the entry is from the ground floor. got a lot of positive vibes from this place. they have a seating capacity of close to 60 people. well spaced out seating.

we ordered chicken pizza , chicken burger, pasta , french fries, muffins , coffee. everything was awesome. i dont mind flying down from mumbai once a month just to relish their variety of delicious muffins n sip on some hot coffee.

overall experience - great place , good service , i would rate this place 4 on 5.

this place is a must visit if you're in mg marg. the ambience, the people, the food, all were amazing. irish coffee is a must try here. this place serves some of the best pancakes too. i recommend this place.

ivisited this place twice they sell good ginger cookies as compared to glynarys in darjeeling and menu more or less like kaventers darjeeling ovar all nice place to have ur evening snacks and coffee
