bad bad service tonight. it is memorial day weekend 2011. we go tobajaevery friday night and have for 2-3 years now. our waiter tonight was terrible. no silverware, we had to get our own. water was empty and after 15 min got up and saw the pitcher, refilled ourselves. ordered a coke, it never came. our waiter was no where to be found the whole time we were eating. it was not the normal busy friday night so we were confused. he was aweful! i need to add that he was very quick to get the check signed and to pick it up. we left a note: no tip due to no service.

ps, we normally tip 30%

just down right nasty, and manager has bad attitude. there are too many other places to go to waste your time and money here.bajaneeds to clean up their act. won't be back and definitely will tell others to avoid this dirty place.

i was delightfully pleased withbajagrill at the kavanaugh location. service was a little slacking but they are still making adjustments. great food, nice people, will be a great restaurant in every way in a few months.

took an old army buddy visiting from denver tobajafor dinner today. we both loved the food, the service was excellent, and my buddy confirmed that his margarita was, as advertised by baja, one of the best he ever had!

amazing food, locally owned, and service plus!. i keep thinking the food could not possibly be as good as my memory, but each time we eat atbajagrill i am blown away. the owner always comes to our table to check in about our experience and the wait staff is super friendly. the cuban and the mahi tacos are amazing. food is really fresh and well prepared. if you are looking for delicious gluten-free dining, baja's menu is primarily naturally gf. five stars from our family!

sadly, the watuagabajalocation has gone down hill, much like chilis or applebees. they don't serve the same margaritas that they were famous for. the whole menu has changed, the food was simply sub-par. i will say the service was good but when we wanted to voice our disapproval of the changes the manager would not come speak with us. instead a very nice gentleman named edurardo came and apologized. he tried to make it right. evidently he has been instructed to deal with customer complaints, but is not the manager. we will not be back. unless they fix the downfalls, spending $60 bucks for two people could be spent better at another establishment.

i had thebajachicken burrito with no onions. it was delicious. what i think i like most about mexi-cali restaurant is that it kept the food flavor rather than packed with seasonings.

our favorite neighborhood taco place!. this has become a regular stop for our family for dinner! the food is awesome, and the service has always been fast and friendly. the owner always makes a point to come by the table and check on our experience. i am a big fan of the blackened mahi taco, and my wife's favorite is definitely the cuban! i highly recommend getting your taco fix atbajagrill!

great food, terrible service. i've been tobajagrill 5+ times, and every single time the service is terrible. i keep going back for the food, hoping to give it one more chance to redeem itself, and i'm disappointed every time. every waiter/waitress i've had there has been rude and inattentive (even when the place isn't busy). every once in a while the owner/manager/some higher-up is there, and he's always very nice, but the rest of the staff is just not up to par for a restaurant in that area. i won't be back again, but i'll definitely miss their cuban burrito :(

baja grill is my place to go. i have been getting food to go before work and stopping in to dine at least twice a month sincebajagrill opened in the heights. my to-go order is always warm and waiting for me at the bar. the water/waitress has always been attentive and my margarita was awesome! the owner seems to be attentive to his customer and the service they are receiving.

in fact my son is on his way to pickup our cuban tacos and triple dipper. almost forgot, the best guacamole!

do not go tobajagrill. the service is atrocious. we waited at the bar for a drink while the owner told us he was too busy to serve us. then he gave away a table for four to a two top when there was a two top available and then refused to seat us. we tried to buy a drink for the people who offered to give up their table for us but he refused to let us take their table and then told us it was too
much trouble for us to buy them a drink to show our thanks. he needs to go back to the food truck. the service is appalling. i would never come back again. the owner is the worst employee here

wonderful restaurant all around. i triedbajagrill for the first time last night and it was amazing! our waitress (lea or leah i think) was so sweet and made our experience wonderful. the owner came out and checked on all of the customers. he was very genuine and was excited to have everyone there. the food. the food was outstanding! i had the "naked" cuban burrito and it was fantastic. overall, i highly recommend it!

return visit. not as busy as last time but still crowded especially in the bar area. had the mad mex platter with brisket taco, brisket enchilada and pork taco. the brisket items were chewy and well-seasoned. rice was much better this time. beans were very good. our server seemed troubled about something, didn't really smile throughout the service. nevertheless she was on top of everything. hope she is okay. chips and salsa were really good as usual. had to remark to my friend amount the overabundance ofbajamex personnel working the shift.

mad-mex platter. brisket enchilada and brisket taco, well-seasoned but chewy & pork tamale. refreshingly different combination.

food is good, even better next door. i've been here a few times. there is always a lot of people here, i think mostly due to the margaritas. since i don't drink much, i can't tell you anything about that. i had the lettuce leaf wrap (tacos) with grilled chicken. the lettuce (iceberg) was fresh as well as the accompaniments. the sauce was piquant and added brightness to the wraps. the rice that came alongside the tacos was all right. it was fluffy and looked like it had minced cilantro in it. surprisingly it really didn't have any flavor. i like rice in every shape and form, so it really didn't matter--it wasn't burnt and didn't stick together like chinese restaurant rice so less starch. i had a early lunch today, so i really wasn't too hungry but had this as an early dinner, skipping the perfunctory chips and salsa.

service was fine, my tea was refilled once. server did ask several times if everything was okay. the atmosphere is party-like, sports bar atmosphere, with a dozen flatscreens all showing sports of different ilk. of course, no sound. that seems to be the trend, as is not having the closed-captioning on. the only thing that i really did not like was the number of flies in the restaurant. it probably would have been better to have eaten outside. my friends put napkins over their salsa to keep the flies from landing on the bowl. aggravating to say the least.

i'll give this place a marginal "like" because the food, at least what i've had here today and in the past, has been good. taco h, their sister off shoot restaurant next door is phenomenal! i have not done a review on it yet since it has been a few years since i've been there. check some of the others reviews of it though. best of the freebird/chipotle-type restaurants. inexpensive too.

my wife and i have been supportingbajagrill since they were a small food truck in benton, ar. the food is in 3 words "delicious, consistent, & addictive!" we have been going to the new location in the heights since they opened there doors. what you'll expect is courteous service, mouth-watering presentation, & owners that are genuine and want to earn your loyal business. i encourage everyone to come and see for yourself why we love this "one-of-a-kind" restaurant. the cuban tacos are a must!!!

not a good experience. we went hopingbajawould be similar to local lime but it's truly not even in the same ballpark. my chicken burrito was nothing special, and my husbands shredded beef tacos were so over cooked, they were not edible. we sat on the patio and rarely saw our waitress for refills. she also did not notice my husband had not eaten his food until she was clearing our plates off the table. she then asked him about them and we told her they were too dry.
the owner/manager(we weren't sure who he was because he never introduced himself) half heatedly told us he was taking off the taco. he actually didn't even bother coming all the way out of the door to tell us but awkwardly held the patio door open and told us.
they did remove one of my husbands tacos from the ticket but i wish they would have removed both. they also put the cheese dip (ordered by the other couple we were dining with) on our ticket and tried to charge me for a side of guacamole i did not receive.
mediocare food with mediocre service are not good combos. we will not be back.
