a pretty upscale cafe in an equally posh neighborhood, backpackerscafe is truly a perfect hangout spot. the cafe is setup in a such a beautiful ambience that it deserves a mention, well lit, decorated in a unique wanderlust taste, it is quite the comfy den one would find oneself in whether backpacking across himachal or europe, and thus probably goes the name.
after getting comfortable and soaking in all the decor, we scanned the menu from cover to cover to place orders, but choosing here is quite a task, especially if it's your first time there. a lot can be too exotic or you simply can just get spoilt for choices. we ordered for an english breakfast burger and baked mushroom caps. must say the food was thoroughly satisfying. the burger was one whole proper meal, loaded with bacons, eggs, sausages and served with side of fries and cold salad, it was a yummy affair. my partner had her meal of baked mushrooms and she too was immensely satisfied, though going by plating only, i would say mine was way much worth the money. we wanted to go for a dessert too but our choice wasn't available, so we had to settle with the meal only.
the food isn't exactly your pocket friendly types which one would associate with a backpacking destination, though it probably was so more for it's location, and honestly it is laid out as a high end cafe so no complaints. would really like to try out more stuff on next visit, and hopefully they would be stocked up on the desserts too then.
