perfect every time. not high on customer service front with some waitresses quite rude but overall thefoodmakes up for this. there's a reason people line up in the freezing cold to eat here!

excellent indonesian food. the queue will be long but it turns over quickly, write your order on the notepad on your table and prepare for a feast. it can be as affordable or as indulgent as you wish – there’s enough variety in the dishes to complement anything you order. it’s a bit dingy but, hey, most comfortfoodrestaurants are.

not my all time favourite - but still genuine enough to get my patronage. thefoodis simple and very inexpensive.
it is very popular (th, f, sa) with a short wait time usually between 6pm - 8pm.
the restaurant takes your name on a list until a spare table becomes available.
usually you don't wait more than 15 minutes for a table. there are so many indonesian restaurants in this area, that if waiting is an issue you can usually go to another restaurant if you wish.

i go to this restaurant for the javanese fried chicken called ayam bakar. ask for the breast piece (dada bakar) $6.50. i always eat this with a serving of cah kangkung $10 and a serving of white rice $2.
mix these flavours together for a true indonesian dining experience. the chilli sauce provided at your table is very hot, so use sparingly. it can be mixed with sweet brown ketchup manis sauce.

another dish to try is the nasi goreng. it isn't the best fried rice i have eaten, but it is still tasty.

complimentary free water in a jug is available free of charge.
there are many other different cold drinks available on the menu. my favourite is jus alpukat - this is avocado juice with sweetened condensed milk, and streaks of chocolate syrup down the sides of the glass.

this place is worth a visit if you like tasty indonesian 'warung' style food.

this place used to be our favour indonesian restaurant in town but disappointed that the staff and service let down, foodquality is slowly degraded. following experiences happened every time from our last 3 visits, so it’s not one off case.

taste and portion are inconsistent, seems depending how busy they are.

they ignored their queue practices (registering name and a number of people) and always let indonesian speaking customers go first (for same table of 4) 2 or 3 groups came after us are allowed to get in first, we couldn’t stand with this in our last visits so we questioned them but they told liar and said they had already called our name, the fact was we waited right next to the door and had never been called, we looked at each other every time she called customer name.

every visit they mess up our order, either lost or wrong food. we are fine with the wrong order as we have chance to try something new, but missing order kept us waiting for nothing.

few cockroaches found on wall and floor, told the waitress but she wasn’t interested/surprised, simply said they are from the toilet not the kitchen. (not a smart response imo)

the one i have ordered is “ayam goreng mentega” which is a plate of fried chicken, i didnt expect it turns out to be a plate of bone without much chicken on. paying for 16 dollar for bones is crazy. the chicken tastes dry and tbh it is the worst i have ever tried. hope they can focus on thefoodquality instead of driving down the cost crazily

the nasi goreng was amazing, along with their signature chilli sauce. the desserts weren’t that amazing in comparison to vietnamese desserts. overall, the staff were on point with getting thefoodto us on time despite the busy environment. waiting lists were in place and worked well to get most customers in line with minimal waiting time. would definitely visit again.

to be honest thefoodhere is the everyday dishes in indonesia however the dishes here have been perfected thefoodhere is basic as i usually eat the ayam bakar, rice, chilli and tempe . thefoodhere is good as there is no competition to beat ayam goreng 99. however this place will always have a special place in my heart. the other good thing about ayam goreng 99 is the sambel as you take the amount you want however if you take away thefoodit is not as good as you eat it there

i love thefoodhere, service is prompt and i could always rely on good indonesian food. charcoal grilled chicken is so tender along with chicken satay skewers. i even love their nasi goreng and stir fried vegetables. its great that they also offer fried tofu and tempeh.

a friend of mine took me to this little restaurant in kingsford. the establishment offers authentic indonesian cuisine for a great value.foodis great, although i strongly recommend to order "shared" dishes instead of single portions (shared portions are larger in size and have more flavor). expect to wait 10-20 minutes outside the restaurant for a seat. the staff in the restaurant only serves you thefoodand tap water, you have to fill in the order yourself.

wow, amazing quality authentic indonesianfoodin a simple home environment. the place has an array of style of dishes, which is far superior than the other south asian style restaurants namely mamak and pappa rich. a good hidden gem.
