we had rawther biryani and beef kondattom. i was having a high expectation for the rawther biryani, but all of it vanished as soon as i tasted the biriyani... the biryani was cold.... the worst thing that one could do to a biryani was to serve it cold. i was wondering why it took soo long to serve a dum biriyani which was prepared before...
the beef kondattam was really nice and was hot. the waiters really lack professionalism... i had to ask twice for water,

went here 3 times but have pics of only 1 visit. i really loved the appam, beef stew, chicken curry, kallu appam and lime tea coz that’s all i have tried here.

but the last time i entered this place, i had to leave coz there was a big cockroach on the wall beside where we were sitting. this makes me doubt what n all the kitchen must be providing shelter to.

i had written the below review 7 months back..it was a very good restaurant. but now i dont feel the same. hygiene levels in the restaurant on mg road have gone down. i had ordered a parcel from here and i found a fried insect in it. didnt expect this.

if you are looking for authentic kerala cuisine ...this is one of the best places in the town with selected delicacies...reminded me of old days...everything here is tasty ...a must go place.. prices also very reasonable

a small but beautiful place bustling with people from all walks of life. if you're lucky you might get parking. and you might even have to wait a bit to get seats. but definitely worth it!

ordered ravuthar biriyani.. i loved this! rice well cooked in spicy masala and soft chicken.
the mutton biriyani was good and so was chicken biriyani which had pieces that were fried first, but managed to maintain the softness of the chicken.
next up, we ordered karimeen pollichathu.. this was steaming hot and the masala was spicy and delicious.
ended with a couple of lime and sodas.

a wholesome family place that serves good food.

update: tried the fish curry meals. not worth the price. the coconut fish curry was good tho.

this place reminded me of the traditional "maa ke haath ka khana"... this is going to be on my list of must visit places in kerala. best kappa biryani i have ever had. awesome ambience as well!!!

kappa beef combination utter failure don't order anything from this restaurant worst of money and ur cash gone in the air i cannot believe a restaurant from kochi can down grade

had a chicken biriyani from here. the food tasted really good. staff were friendly and interactive. the location lacks parking. the restaurant was crowded when i visited and was required to wait for a while. the ambiance is commendable too.

very good and tasty foods.the standard of the restaurant is high.may b u have to wait 10-15 minutes for getting a table to seat but the food quality will let u forget about the time that u have waited.

homely place with awesome food. people usually comment on the space constraint but i guess we were lucky enough to get seats pretty fast :) we had the kappa biriyani, porotta, palappam, mutton roast, beef dry fry and lime tea. everything gave a perfect feel of homely food. palappam was a tad bit sweet but other than that great place great food and good service :-)

i simply loved the food here. we ordered butter chicken and chicken chilli, and they were both scrumptious, fresh and hitting the right taste buds. the porotha were fresh and not too crisp but crisp enough to make you yearn for more. and the biryani was so elegant but packed a mouthful of flavors. i loved this experience.

first of all let me tell u , iam food lover who enjoys variations of food from authentic to fusion. being a malayali , a hotelier - kerala cuisine stays close to my heart .
arripa is centrally located in south cochin , has limited seating. but trust me it’s worth the wait. i generally don’t waste my time writing reviews unless it’s expectionally good and consistent . the ambience is lit and i have been going to this place from almost 2 years . every time i think about cochin or i land in cochin i make it a point to visit arippa . it’s cost effective, tasty and one of the best beef dry fry ever tasted in my life . dishes like natholi fry , beef puttu , chenda kappa is worth a try . it’s best to try typical kerala food from them than other cuisines . their kerala porottas are super flaky and mouth watering . best wishes for the management!

your number is continuously not reachable. also tried calling from multiple numbers and at different times. please update an alternate number. had food at your place before was calling for home delivery.

getting a table here requires atleast 10 mintues of waiting. it was worth it before and now the taste has gone down.

this is one place you get meals even after 2 30pm. people visited here recently might feel arippa is one other over rated place. but it was way better when they started off and the quality has depreciated terribly. it is high time that the hotel management gives more attention to the quality of food they provide.

let everyone know what made people wait for so long to get a table here.
