great place for a casual dinner. the bison chili was fantastic and the bison steak was cooked perfectly to order.goodseasoning on everything. the potatoes had a really nice "kick" to them. they also have a unique and very goo selection of single malt scotches and the service was great. i highly recommend this place!

we were on the quest for agoodhappy hour in downtown denver. during the summertime it’s a sin to sit inside when there is great patio seating to be found. appaloosa grill did the trick. great outside seating andgoodbeer on tap. i settled for the left-hand milk stout and a burger. others on the quest enjoyed a nice, juicy ruben, with some fried polenta and a chocolate ice cream sundae chaser. how could anything mentioned here taste bad! i never said we were on a healthy happy hour quest.

walking distance to/from the dcpa, this is a fun, funky bar with a verygoodhappy hour menu. their 'mystery shots' are inventive and inexpensive. food is good. service is very good. both the chef and the gm stopped by our table to say hi and ask if everything was ok.

two thumbs up!. when we arrived in denver, our hotel shuttle driver suggested this restaurant for dinner. i am very glad that we followed his advice. the three of us were all very impressed with appaloosa grill.

service: we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, sat right away and had a great server. she kept our drinks full and checked on us the right amount of times. she was friendly, efficient and knew the menu well.

food: everything on the menu looked really good. i love that this restaurant, like many in denver, are conscious of people with dietary restrictions. they had items marked if they were gluten-free and/or vegetarian. i ordered the falafel platter which was really delicious. the falafel was cooked to crispy perfection, the greens were fresh and dressed with a yummy balsamic sauce, and the hummus was very flavorful. the two other girls ordered a black bean burger and a bison burger. they both enjoyed their burgers and the fries were perfectly crunchy!

ambiance: it has a very dark, sexy, hipster kind of vibe. it was a little loud and the bar was packed with good-looking people. something we all really enjoyed was the music that they played. verygoodsoundtrack to a delicious meal.

great local bar!. this place is great!goodselection of local beers on tap, excellent food, great atmosphere & live music every night! cool local bands and a friendly staff! try the black bean sliders…awesome! happy hour is a must!

was referred to by residence inn downtown when asked about live music on a late sunday evening.goodrecommendation! great eclectic food...from falafel to bison sausages (appetizers) which we ordered. this place is owned by the folks who work here...adds authenticity. got to meet one of the owners ... passionate about the joint. hadgoodvibe for a sunday night.goodfood (not too pricey), live music daily and great atmosphere. loved it!!!

went 3 times in a 5 day vacation. tried to go to marlowe's twice but had private parties so ended up at appaloosa. great bison burger.goodbison steak. great mushroom side item. 3rd visit we asked them to let us order mushrooms as an appetizer and manager was very accommodating.

it's ok but i would not rush back based on our first visit. the good: lots of energy. great server.goodsite seeing. fantastic burger. excellent "english egg rolls."goodwine. the bad. kinda dirty looking, as if it's toooo busy. bison steak charred on the outside, rare inside, when i wanted it a medium. conclusion: great place to go for a beer and a burger with friends or to people watch.

attentive staff!. they tookgoodcare of us. the place has a cool lived in feel that some of the places on 16th are missing.

good food, bad staff. i've had to vote don't like on the appaloosa grill for one reason: service. the food isgoodand it is unique, but if you want an experience where you don't have to flag down the staff for a drink refill or silverware, you'll have to go elsewhere. be careful when going there for lunch; the staff seem to have no regard for your lunch hour restrictions.

it's an easy issue for management to fix, however it may be they way they want to run things.

it is probably my go to place on 16th, since the results are pretty consistent.goodfood, great selection of beers, and adequate service.

bison burger was delicious. very full flavored. tossed green salad with maple vinaigrette would be a great choice. french fries were scrumptious withgoodseasoning. don't forget to grab the server if you need something, because it is unlikely they will offer much service.
