worst welcome ever!. i have to say that the biggest cause of giving this review was due to the terrible attitude we got from the lady at the door. we had made reservations through opentable as saturday may 29 was a day full of events downtown. we wanted to make sure that we got a table and not have to wait to be seated. wrong! as soon as i mentioned this fact, this woman proceeded to seat everyone else except us, and when we finally were seated, it was at probably the worst table at the place. we had to then wait for almost 40 minutes to get our order.foodwas good, and the waitress made sure that we got what we wanted. however, i will definitely not be back. a customer should be treated with respect. i will make sure my friends know of this as well.

walking distance to/from the dcpa, this is a fun, funky bar with a very good happy hour menu. their 'mystery shots' are inventive and inexpensive.foodis good. service is very good. both the chef and the gm stopped by our table to say hi and ask if everything was ok.

good service. i found the best service here of the few places i went in denver. it was relaxed but thefoodwas very good. we left before the band came out (around 10) but it would probably be very loud in such a small place.

visiting denver for the week and decided to stop by appaloosa grill. truly amazingfoodand great service!!!!! i had the quattro fromaggio macaroni with blackened chicken. to finish off this great meal... a new twist on tres leches cake.

stuck up server. if your not a hippie or a business man working downtown skip this place! the judgmental eyes for being in jeans and a t shirt were felt. ordered poppers and they were ice cold in the middle told the server and she told me that was impossible! i said stick your finger in there. luckly we had not orderedfoodyet so we were able to walk out no money spent.

scrumptious st. patty's day meal. the nice selection of beers on tap, attentive wait-staff and excellent meal made for a fun, casual lunch on st. patrick's day. we decided to forego the special of corned beef & cabbage and decided upon each getting a cup of pork and vegetarian green chili for our appetizers, a caesar salad with grilled chicken for myself and the peppercorn steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and sautéed kale for b. all thefoodwas absolutely delicious and was presented well. the staff was exceedingly professional for the restaurant venue. bonus - live guitar player strumming in the background. we will be back.

was referred to by residence inn downtown when asked about live music on a late sunday evening. good recommendation! great eclectic food...from falafel to bison sausages (appetizers) which we ordered. this place is owned by the folks who work here...adds authenticity. got to meet one of the owners ... passionate about the joint. had good vibe for a sunday night. goodfood(not too pricey), live music daily and great atmosphere. loved it!!!

bar spot. this is the first and only place i went to here... the bar staff was very friendly even giving us the local scoop on things to do and other places to go. thefoodwas delish and very fresh. one day we had truffel fries topped with parmesan and garlic with their homemade ketchup and when you are drinking this goes down like candy. i actually had the falafel platter which was pretty good, you can tell everything was made in house, minus the pita bread. at night they always have some sort of local band come rolling through and the crowd will start to pick up, so that was also cool... another cool thing, they keep servingfooduntil 130am so if you get the munchies, you can order yourself something... me likey!

good food, bad staff. i've had to vote don't like on the appaloosa grill for one reason: service. thefoodis good and it is unique, but if you want an experience where you don't have to flag down the staff for a drink refill or silverware, you'll have to go elsewhere. be careful when going there for lunch; the staff seem to have no regard for your lunch hour restrictions.

it's an easy issue for management to fix, however it may be they way they want to run things.

not all that great.foodwas alright, but nothing special for how much you pay. i was pretty disappointed in my bland chicken sandwich
