fantastic. insanely delicious & wonderful vibe.

exceeded already high expectations!. we dined at andina for the first time. to be honest, we were quite expecting to be sorely disappointed. the reviews are mostly so glowing, and mixed with a smattering that are either not so glowing or even negative, we were expecting to be let down.

not so - in the least. yes, it's noisy. that's the sound of a lot of diners happily feasting on outstanding cuisine and imbibing on wonderful cocktails and wines. and yes, it's crowded with tables a little closer together than is ideal. on the other hand, if they cut back the capacity, the prices would have to increase. as it is, this is quite reasonably priced for any good restaurant.

considering this is an exceptional restaurant, with beautifully prepared cuisine, novel preparations, outstanding service and wonderful cocktails, it is relatively cheap. and the jazz guitarist added a fine touch of ambiance - at least while you enjoyed your first cocktail at the bar.

i don't understand the negative reviews. portanders, and visitors to this wonderful city (we are visiting) make the most of this culinary jem!

best restaurant in portland!. strong words i know, but this place is amazing! i have been going since they opened and even when it has been 3-6 months in between visits, i am always reminded of how great their food is.
i can't think of a single restaurant i have ever been to that has a menu with so many different flavors. the preparation of their food must be terribly time consuming, but in the end it is worth it! i can't stop thinking about the meal i had last week! the tuna, the breads, the asparagus, etc... amazing!

good, fun but inconsistent. the way to dine here has been very fun. and the food is different from the usual tapas restaurants. but the food is not always great. also service doesn't seem to be the most concern. i have had drinks dropped on my twice! and nothing was done.....but i like it enough i have taken friends back.

good but a bit pricey..... i have been to andina a few times both to the dining room and the bar. we love their mojitos, which is odd for a peruvian restaurant, but it works. their dishes run into the heart of my bolivian in-laws and having been to bolivia myself, i can certainly see why. anything with yucca is worth the trip and the lomo saltado is very authentic and quite tasty. i would stay away from the scallops as i have ordered them twice and twice they have been overcooked and sitting in the moisture that once made them flavorful. all-in-all, good but not quite worth the sticker price for me.

come for the drinks. the food is okay but the reason to come here is the drinks. the "sexy women" (they will know what you are talking about, because every one just says "sexy women after one or two of these drinks) is awesome. it is a habenro infused vodka drink with passion fruit- the best. i can drink 5-6 of these. the rest of the drink menu is fun and hard to find other places that can do better.

the service was attentive yet not especially friendly. a little upscale for tapas to me. food was good though.

very creative!. wonderful menu. highly recommend the duck! very fast and friendly service. beautiful atmosphere.

scrumptious as i remembered. i first visited andina a few years ago on a mini trip to portland and my sister and i went there 2 nights in a row. i just had another short visit........first night dinner? you guessed it, andina. love, love love; the service, the dipping sauces, the small plate concept and best of all the innovative, fresh and scrumptious food. stopped in for happy hour where the wine pour was very generous. the hh menu was a bit limited, but it doesn't matter since the "small plates" are not that expensive and three of us were full on 3 dishes. you gotta go.

should go back.. an amazing place.

the rudest service i have ever experienced. i have eaten all around the world this was the worst dining experience i have had. we left after tapas because we did not want to spend any more money with our server that made it clear she was tolerating us against her will. it was 2/27 at 6pm in the bar. plus, the tapas were marginal at best.

rude service. i was excited to share this place with some out of town visitors. totally disappointing. rude, slow service + food served cold = changing my vote to "i don't like it".

delicious. i have eaten at andina three times and each experience was delicious. i enjoy the fresh oysters and drinks especially, but everything i have tasted has been quite good. i will definitely return.
