addington coffee co-op

love the concept and decor. the service was personable and not forced. the coffee was reallygreatand the meal robust flavours and satisfying for an early start and long day ahead. i ordered the mushrooms and there was plenty of it with soft poached egg and sour dough bread.

i have been a few times for coffee at addington coffee co op, but never eaten off of the menu. we decided to eat off the breakfast menu. i got the french toast which was delicious! agreatcombination of berries, bacon and espresso mascarpone that wasn't too sickly. the portion size was not very big, however, we both walked away very satisfied with our meals. there was a slight line to place our order, but the food and coffee service was fast with little wait. the coffee was good as it always is. would recommend to all.

you have to line up and order which was a bit annoying especially when it's busy but the food came out really fast. everything is self service so not a place to go if you want to be served. the mushroom medley was really good but it got too mushroomy - less mushroom and some turkish bread would have been good. the eggs benny wasgreatone of the better ones. pancakes were fluffy and delicious. my favourite jail breaker coffee which was unfortunate abit burnt today. there was one staff that was quite moody and rude and not very helpful. looked like she hated her job

we are so glad to find anothergreatcafe for lunch in addington. very friendly staffs & good coffee, yummy food &greatcustomer service. there is a small store inside the cafe, they sell some local crafts & chocolates & skin care products, i was so happy & i bought few things from there.
they believe business should be for people, so they redistribute 70% of their profit to help improve the lives of people here & oversea. so sweet & kind :)))

been there many times for breakfast - delicious!greatcoffee and service, love the buzz and atmosphere. also has a nice fair trade shop onsite and it is nice to dine outdoors on a sunny day.

lovely staff, amazing delicious smooth coffee! yummy food and agreatatmosphere. extremely busy so not the place if you're in a hurry, but that's a good indicator of how good it is. parking a slight issue. beautiful decor and lovely and warm for the middle of winter, huge bonus. brekkie goes til 2pm and it's a good variety of food.

my go to place for a local cafe. i always go for their savoury and i do love their berry thick shake. the coffee is alright. quite a friendly place to take children here as they have agreatbig case of toys and books. love that one of the owner always make my kids feel so welcome and get stamps on their hands. for a hip place, i definitely rate it!

my favorite establishment in all of chch! addington coffee co-op is agreatway to start your day. their savory muffins, croissants and baked goods are to die for. i have yet to try an item i haven't loved. of note: pain au chocolate, ham/pineapple/savory items muffin, chocolate and berry muffin, sausage links, omelettes and french toast. this is agreatplace to come for a casual brunch, a morning coffee or an afternoon snack to read the paper or do your laundry (yes, there is a laundromat on site!). i often get a trim cappuccino that they decorate in different patterns each day. 

the atmosphere is rustic casual and brooklyn hipster. wooden beam walls a hodge-podge of wooden tables and chairs and couch seating make up the bulk of the restaurant. the water and utensils are 'serve yourself' and flags of the world are your table markers. the small store in the front sells kitschy little gifts from pillow covers to yarn toys, grocery sacs to soaps and oils. the coffee roasting company on site, jailbreak, is fair trade and proceeds from this co-op go to help end women's suffrage.

amazing food! they do the best breakfasts (i'm in love with their french toast and filo bananas) and the lunch menu is usually just as good. the cabinet food is underwhelming though.  good coffee, fun table numbering system (they use flags) but often packed to capacity- which sometimes leads to making new friends as someone usually invites you into a spare seat at their table. because of the fast pace it isn't a very relaxing cafe, but definitely worth visiting if you want somegreatfood.

great coffee, although if your taking away allow plenty of time as they're always busy. menu food excellent, cabinet food needs new options almost always has the same things.greatservice, staff friendly and accommodating.

always a neat place to introduce to friends as they are impressed (as i am). the coffee isgreatbut the food is disappointing. however i know this and it doesn't worry me. the last couple of times it has been too noisy to converse easily and the weather has precluded outside quieter dining.
