was in the area,so had an early lunch at this inviting cafe.
the place was busy,has exceptionally good front line staff and an interesting building.
ordered an item from the cabinet,asked if i could have a side salad and was told that they don't do such. the cabinet item was fine (needed a salad to take it beyond a snack to a meal). its a bit strange for a large cafe not to have the healthy option of a side salad to go with there large range of pre done cabinet items. 
if you really want a good healthy salad, go over the road to mosaic or portershed. its all about the coffee,comfort food and the ambiance at the co-op.

awesome cappuccino and eggs benedict also tried blueberry and chocolate muffin delicious and friendly service parking was no problem you can also buy coffee whole bean

average service, cold hot chocolates and the toasties were cold and not very filling. there was more bread than fillings. it was quite a loud atmosphere, so not for a quiet get together

a very cozy and relaxing place to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your afternoon with your friends. we ordered long black, flat white and americano without disappointment. the staff wad nice and the service was absolutely prompt and nice. looking forward to going there again when given a chance to try their foods. cheers.

i love this place. always lovely service and fast even thought it can get a bit busy during lunch time. i ordered the shrromm which was a generous mushrooms with egg and bread but with a japanese flavour. i loved it so much, i have had it 3 times already. i hope they dont take this item off the menu as it is too delicious.

love the concept and decor. the service was personable and not forced. the coffee was really great and the meal robust flavours and satisfying for an early start and long day ahead. i ordered the mushrooms and there was plenty of it with soft poached egg and sour dough bread.

group of us went in on a wednesday around 9.45am. seating was a problem to start with and there were many 4 seaters with one person in them and not much room if you were a group. there are sofas which take up room but does leave a shortage of tables during busy periods. we had french toast 4/5 needed more syrup. big house 4/5 beans were a let down as bland pancakes looked beautiful 4/5 tasty but not ‘his’ tasty and not huge for a 21 year old boy. i did eggs on toast with a hash. they were 4/5 and too much food.
nice selection of cabinet food. good coffee. absolutely would go again but pick my time when the laptop users who hog tables are outta there.

delish food always! the vegan chocolate cake is to die for! not to sweet which is nice. always nice options here. have had decent service every time i've visited, so nice consistency.

fantastic ambiance, lovely service despite being very busy, and their vegan vanilla cake was incredible. the staff are all very helpful and friendly, and the coffee was enjoyable. definitely worth a sunday morning visit.

another christchurch delight is the funky addington co-op cafe. this place is uber cool - it's got big tables for shared dining, its own coffee roaster, a 'backyard' area where you can even picnic on the grassy patch the cafe food. there's space to park your bikes, and there's also a corner shop of ethical and ethnic products.

another delish breakfast place in christchurch, this is such a busy place but there's plenty of tables, staff are friendly, chai latte was really nice but i couldn't finish it since it got too creamy for me and their breakfast portions are a decent size. i love how trade aid is right next to the cafe, so after breakfast went straight to trade aid

really good coffee, really good breakfast and really good experience. i had pancakes, which came out with pretty flowers around the edges. i thought the flavours used with mascarpone and maple really worked, with a little bit of crunch from the nuts. my husband had the full breakfast that had the biggest potato rosti i have ever seen! he said the tomatoes were deliciously flavoursome. highly recommend (parking behind the cafe).

i have been a few times for coffee at addington coffee co op, but never eaten off of the menu. we decided to eat off the breakfast menu. i got the french toast which was delicious! a great combination of berries, bacon and espresso mascarpone that wasn't too sickly. the portion size was not very big, however, we both walked away very satisfied with our meals. there was a slight line to place our order, but the food and coffee service was fast with little wait. the coffee was good as it always is. would recommend to all.

addington coffee co-op is one of those places that i pass frequently. so for the first time i decided to pop in to see what this cafe is like. so far i really enjoyed it. since coming back from auckland i wanted to go somewhere with a ponsonbyesque vibe. i enjoyed my vegetarian sandwich / panini thing. it tasted like a cross between a pizza and a sandwich.

great place to go for a coffee, the staff are wonderful and the business model is sound. this is a coffee shop that can make a difference to christchurch.
