don't let the location or looks of thisplaceput you off, the food is outstanding. not had a bad meal here ever! been going to thisplacefor nearly 10 years. on weekends they do a buffet. normally i'm not a fan of buffets because i would rather have a single greet dish than many meh dishes. but this buffet is the exception! they make some really quality food and have a great selection of dishes. if you want to sample a lot of the menu go for the weekend lunch buffet. then go back for dinner and order the full dinner portion of your favorite item.

this is family cookin'.... this is the first time i really felt like i was graciously invited to an indian family's house to eat. not one--repeat--not one bite was off. veg dishes, rice, meats, naan, pakoras, gulab juman dessert, lassi's; all of it was eye-rolling good. the perfectplaceto have our 9-year old try indian for the first time. and man, did we walk away with plenty of leftovers to enjoy for a late night snack. couple of stand-outs to mention were: the tandoori chicken was wicked spicy hot (i loved it); the naan for all was very generous; and the chutneys were mild. bent the ear of the owner about how business was, and while we were chatting, several groups of gringos were already being seated for a feast. indian food west of the cascades is fantastic...

excellent lunch buffet!. when i worked for a local company we'd often come here for the lunch buffet. i was in the area last week and i'm happy to report it is still an excellent choice! great selection, fresh, hot and tasty as hell. and as has been mentioned, the absolute best naan around. the perfect balance of char, smoke and chewiness.
make it a point to try the lunch buffet, i can't speak to any other service offered but this one feature alone keeps thisplaceon my must do list when i am within a reasonable drive at lunchtime.

nice buffet selection. i can't say we had ever left the state just to eat a meal, but abhiruchi's great reviews led us to “the couv” to sample their lunch buffet (fri 8/3). theplaceis just off mill plain road and i-205 in a building that formerly housed a thai restaurant. abhiruchi features both northern and southern indian cuisine, meaning they have quite a large menu. the lunch buffet contained a nice selection of maybe 18 dishes plus the salad area. the space is clean and the indian couple who run it were accomodating and friendly. the foods were all at appropriate temperatures. i made the rounds and tried most everything, including a good helping of one of my indian favorites, chicken makhani. other standbys included a vegetable saag, vegi pakora, chana masala, and some nan that was nicely done (not burnt). they had a number of items i hadn't tried before, including a goat curry (tasty, but watch for bones), rasam (a spicy tamarind soup – it seemed a bit greasy and didn't do much for me in terms of flavor), a stir-fried green pepper dish (excellent) and gulab jamun (a really flavorful and rich dessert with the consistency of spongy dough, soaked in syrup). their kheer (rice pudding) is served warm. i also thought their mint chutney, which i really enjoy dipping the nan in, was the best i'd ever had. they also had a flavorful hot pickle mix that was good with the nan or added to rice as well. this was a nice change of pace and while i'm not sure a 90 minute drive (each way) and battling i-205 traffic on a friday makes a lot of sense, we were happy to have tried abhiruchi.

the service was very good! best curry i have had since leaving my favoriteplacein california. big portions for ala carte prices; will return.

dont waste your money. we heard thisplaceopened up in vancouver so we thought we would give it a try. its not a very professionalplaceand the decor is a bit tacky. the naan was sooo thick and chewy and wasn't like the naan im use to. i was so dissapointed. the dishes were bland and not savory like most curries are. we had eggplant and paneer and some chicken curry. was a waste of money and my family and i wont be back. i would have rather spent the same at chutneys and got food that was five times better!

huge lunch buffet.. get out the wheel barrow and sample the many exotic tasted of india at this buffet. you will not go away hungary.

if thisplaceupdated the decor it would be less dingy looking.

amazing food especially for a buffet. a client took me here and i was amazed how good their food is. it was during the lunch hour so expect a crowd. after tasting their food i can see why thisplacegets so much business. the lunches are a buffet line so expect a slight wait but they always made sure the trays were filled. if you have never had indian food you have to try them!
