gem of a place. this stellar little hole in the wall is fantastic. authentic and delicious, a winning combo. i've read reviews of this place being overpriced and i beg to differ. you're certainly getting your money's worth.

this is a great russian restaurant. they've been on ddd, ranked #6 out of all restaurants in dfw, and ranked #1 russian restaurant in america by localeats. it really lives up to its expectation. wow!

my wife and i have been visiting this place for over 8 years now. the food is fresh and honest, the atmosphere unique, and the owners are delightful people. my favorites are the red caviar crepes, cold borscht soup, and the cabbage rolls.

if your into cold war era stuff this is heaven! the borscht is awesome and the goulash is out of this world!!! only disappointment was not being able to find any nikolai rybnikov on cd or the film spring on tverskaya street.

real food. four diners, four great cups of cold borscht, four substantial entrees, and drinks...$80 with tax. eastern european food is, apparently, made for people who really enjoy "hearty". no wimpy spring mix or "sautéed in a light tarragon scented olive oil" here. this stuff had seasoning, mouth feel, and heft. try the hot tea with honey...really fragrant and satisfying. plus, the gift shop makes it a destination, not just great eats.

great place for russian food!. this place is great. the atmosphere is amazing and the food is delicious. i especially love the moscow salad and the pelmeni. the borscht is fantastic too. it's not only a restaurant but it is also a deli and a gift store. lots of matryoshkas, cool jewelry and military goods. fun place to go.

not bad but not great. we found the restaurant via the city of arlington facebook page. apparently guy fieri from ddd was filming there last week.

the restaurant has just five tables but there are tons of opportunities to buy imported russian goods. look closely for the bargains since a lot of the times are quite expensive.

i had the pierogies which were pretty good. i prefer mine sauteed in butter v. oil but the caramelized onions on top added to the dish. i also like cheese and onions in my filing like my grandmother used to make.

my wife had the schnitzel. it's quite different than you'd expect but it's a schnitzel in a russian restaurant.

great russian cuisine. i love this place for its warm atmosphere, great food, and fairly priced shopping. i found a wide variety of impressive eastern european relics, such as icons, medals, army and navy uniforms, patriotic pins, and a bunch of other things, many of them decades old, yet in excellent condition. there are shelves of books by russian authors as well as current magazines. taste of europe also offers delicious food in the grocery and restaurant parts, all russian cuisine. the perogi, dumplings with potato filling, are to die for! i've been getting them every time i go there ever since i tried them. so good! even the service is great! the owner, mikhail, is always interesting and fun to talk with. the restaurant/shop is one of my favorite spots in arlington.

valentine's day party at taste of europe arlington. live music, great singing, and a magician to boot. top it off with great russian food, we had lucious cabbage rolls and delectible meatloaf stuffed with mushrooms, and dessert, ice cream with russian preserves and a selection of european cakes, it makes a great way to celebrate valentine's day! the music was made up of exceptional musician's using the cello, violin, keyboard, and vocals. as a finally way of having it all, we were free to browser items of handcrafted merchandise, ranging from jewelry to nesting dolls, russian military items to crystal chandeliers. if you haven't attended one of taste of europe's events, bookmark www.tasteofeuropetx.com, and check out what's going on.
