86publicbraamfontein is vibrant and has a very relaxing atmosphere. the pizzas are amazing! the staff are great and it is an all round lovely time.

a nostalgic visit to my student day stomping grounds. what a pleasant surprise. stopped at 86publicfor lunch by chance and what a find. superb ambience, great service and one of the best pizzas ever. will be back.

if you're looking to catch a quick bite and that bite happens to be pizza then 86publicis perfect. situated in the bustling braamfontein square the energy is very hip and creative also a wonderful spot to people watch. their pizzas are delicious offering a variety of base options; gluten free, wheat free etc. the pasta dishes also look good but other than that there isn't much more variety to their menu so go with simple expectations. also a great place for coffee or lunch meetings.

this cuboidal establishment is for the gourmand on a tight budget.

i abhor thick bases on pizza. they one i had was somewhere between thick and thin but with the kind of wood-fired integrity only a traditional oven can impart.

this is not the best pizza in johannesburg but you will be hard-pressed to find something better in braamfontein at such a price point.

86publicdoes it's job: cheaply giving broke students a respite from fast food and poorly cooked meals.

i love 86publicbecause they seem to have perfected the balance between efficiency and quality. the food is always amazing and well prepared. this pizza was no exception.

this place has the most interesting pizza combinations i have ever seen! it has a great vine and opens onto one of the areas of braamfontein with the most foot traffic which combined with the absurd pizza toppings make this a must visit! the pizza i had was good, not great but 86publicgets extra points for ingenuity.

86publicwas amazing..!! a cozy pizza restaurant in braamfontein with such a cool vibe!! 😎 their pizzas were delicious.. i had a chicken, cream cheese and spinach pizza which was honestly one of the best pizzas i have ever had..!! i also tried their margarita which was topped with basil leaves - amazing!! 🍕 we had a jug of sangria which was delicious and their craft beers were also on point. 🍻 will definitely be going back..!!

86publicis a a place in braam that i would recommend you visit! it is superb! the decor is something unique, with a massive glass window, pizza oven in sight and black and white decoration. it is "hip", "vibey" and a place to suit the pocket as well as any age group. the drinks are extremely reasonably priced! and the jugs are a great deal! we had the sangria jug, which was not the usual sangria that im used too, but never the less very tasty! the pizzas are delicious! we had the normal bases, but they are wood fired and scrumptious. one of the best spots in braam that you have to pop into!

cheap and conveniently located in the heart of braamfontein, 86publicis a great little lunch spot. the service is a bit slow and the place is pretty small, but if you want to have some good pizza without going out of your way, this is the place to go. pizzas 17, 19, and 20 were standouts!

i was excited for a late lunch in braam but left rather disappointed. i found it to be quite pricey and the 4 cheese pizza we ordered needed plenty of seasoning. the service was poor- from mixing up orders, sending drinks to the table at different times and not being accommodating to our concerns. unfortunately 86publicwas a miss.

when feeling down and needing a pick me up, 86publicpizza never disappoints. #18 is my favourite. it goes well with their strawberry sour.

a while ago a big group of us booked out a section of 86publicto celebrate the so and his friend's birthdays. we made a day of it first stopping at 86 and then going to the rugby later on. jozi's inner city has been getting a facelift for years now and it's really paying off.

i've heard rumours of 86's pizza, always getting rave reviews. mmmm. i'm tough to please mainly because i'm a veggie.

as a pizza expert and lover, i have to admit their pizza is some of the best i've had. i highly recommend it. just be careful of the chilli on the side, it's hella hot, even the ones who love hot things struggled. use it sparingly.

the vibe is relaxed and welcoming and the service was great.

i give it a two thumbs up.

never been much of a food reviewer but i must commend 86publicon the wonderful experience i had last night.

the girlfriend and i had each a number 19 pizza on a wholewheat base which was the best pizza i've ever had, topped off with a margarita jug!

generous portions, great service, lovely atmosphere, will be back as often as possible!

86publicis the one place in braamfontein that i know is always reliable about three things: good food, good atmosphere and good service.

i remember the first time i made an order for delivery, and the wrong thing was delivered to my apartment. it was partly my fault for not checking before the lady left. anyway, i emailed the owner nick just to make him aware of the mix-up and he was ready to send someone back with the right order!

it's that kind of attentiveness to customers that keeps people coming back - which i have done often at velo and 86 public. i particularly enjoy their pizza and have probably ordered the same one #17 (gorgonzola, bacon, chilli, feta and avocado) and a handful of times. it really is that good.i also really love the fact that they deliver. braamfontein is a mass of offices and apartments and busyness, so it's very nice to have a good meal delivered right to where you are - for free!

the location is also great - right in the heart of the buzz of braamies - and a short walk away from neighbourgoods market.they also finally got their liquor licence not so long ago, which probably really boosted business. anybody want to grab cocktails?

definitely a great, cosmopolitan feel going on here. love it.
