tagged along a friend of mine to join me try the pizza. i must say i'm big on pizza so i really enjoy a great piece. we had half 18 & 21, enjoyed the pizza, but i'm not sold-out yet. ilovemy pizza filling & filled. will explore the menu & the place is lovely.

pizza pizza pizza who doesn’tlovea great thin based wood oven pizza. these guys never disappoint on taste with their pizza. great setting for an afternoon pizza and beer with mates.

86 has the greatest pizzas, ilovehow their pizzas don't even try to taste like pizzas from somewhere else...

but they messed up my irish coffee so bad 😭😭😭😭... omg, no! 😷😷 it wasn't hot, and it had milk mixed already 😖😖😖...

but their pizzas, top notch 👌

hidden in the heart of braamfontein, this spot is charming and trendy. they have a decent number of pizza options for vegetarians so that's exciting. the pizza is definitely one of the best in joburg - light and thin. what's also interesting is that they make the pizza base in a variety of ways for example with beer. their wine is list is good but only house wines are available by the glass which is unfortunate. the music can be really loud on weekends which can make conversation difficult.

the pizza isn't the only standout thing here. the service is great and they will always make a plan for you to get a table even when they are overflowing with people.lovethe food and will always go back.

this place is a classic pizza bar. ✔️

traditional wood oven pizza which is always the best. great selection of bases which makes the pizza that much more great.
[my opinion could be invalid because ilovepizza in general because let's face it; 🍕=❤️. but it's a really great place].

drinks are also on the strong and/or subtle side (depending on how you feel/ your tolerance 🍒).

ilove86 public because they seem to have perfected the balance between efficiency and quality. the food is always amazing and well prepared. this pizza was no exception.

this is one of the best pizza joints in johannesburg. i absolutelylovethe number 18 pizza. 😍😍😍 it's exactly how a pizza should be, cheesy , pizza base light and fluffy, a generous amount of ingredients. it's so good, i always come back.

this is an amazing place to go to if you're looking for a chilled place to hang out with friends and have good food at the same time! the service is amazing and so is the view. its easy to find and has a variety of seating arrangements. i absolutelylovethis place.

a while ago a big group of us booked out a section of 86 public to celebrate the so and his friend's birthdays. we made a day of it first stopping at 86 and then going to the rugby later on. jozi's inner city has been getting a facelift for years now and it's really paying off.

i've heard rumours of 86's pizza, always getting rave reviews. mmmm. i'm tough to please mainly because i'm a veggie.

as a pizza expert and lover, i have to admit their pizza is some of the best i've had. i highly recommend it. just be careful of the chilli on the side, it's hella hot, even the ones wholovehot things struggled. use it sparingly.

the vibe is relaxed and welcoming and the service was great.

i give it a two thumbs up.

86 public is the one place in braamfontein that i know is always reliable about three things: good food, good atmosphere and good service.

i remember the first time i made an order for delivery, and the wrong thing was delivered to my apartment. it was partly my fault for not checking before the lady left. anyway, i emailed the owner nick just to make him aware of the mix-up and he was ready to send someone back with the right order!

it's that kind of attentiveness to customers that keeps people coming back - which i have done often at velo and 86 public. i particularly enjoy their pizza and have probably ordered the same one #17 (gorgonzola, bacon, chilli, feta and avocado) and a handful of times. it really is that good.i also reallylovethe fact that they deliver. braamfontein is a mass of offices and apartments and busyness, so it's very nice to have a good meal delivered right to where you are - for free!

the location is also great - right in the heart of the buzz of braamies - and a short walk away from neighbourgoods market.they also finally got their liquor licence not so long ago, which probably really boosted business. anybody want to grab cocktails?

the first time i went to 86 public was with a friend for an early dinner. the staff is super friendly and laid-back. they don't fuss over you the way some waiters do at other eating establishments.

the seats are comfortable and there's lots of natural light filtering in through the windows. it provides a good temporary escape from the busyness of the city and a big plus -- their margarita is amazing! absolute good news for vegetarians. very highly recommended!

86 public makes delish pizza!! ilove#24 with the bacon brie and apples. its so cute! the apples are mini!loveit! the base is unlike any other base in jhb. its almost like a pastry! so yum. service is good and the location is ideal. good place to go on the weekend!
