ordered their 2 x baby sole and calamari rings as takeaway and honestly the 2 x baby soles were probably half the size of an actual baby sole. also ordered the thai curry mussels which were nice, however the bread that it was served with was stale and the “sambals” were basically just big chunks of tomato and cucumber. friendly service and was ready quickly though. not very impressed.

34 south is by far one the best seafood/sushi places in the area. the atmosphere is extremely chilled, with the sultry smell and the bashful breeze of the fresh sea, as well as views of the smooth waters and speedboats leaving trails of ripples in their midst. i had this amazingly crunchy #tempuraprawnplatter which ticked all the boxes for me. a+.

line fish was cooked to perfection . sweet potato is a lovely alternative to chips , however my fiancé thought it was a bit to small a portion of sweet potato on the side of our line fish. otherwise did not disappoint🐟

great food and service. they have very good sushi and is the go to place for oysters. the staff went out their way to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied

decent food. had the ribs, with peri basting. really really good. price was a little steep. being in the heart of the action, right at the waterfront, means the place experiences huge traffic. so, be prepared for that. others would be drawn to this. carrot cake was marvelous. i returned 3 times, consecutive days. on each occasion, the cake was as perfect, so top marks for consistency.

it is super busy on the knysna mariner over the weekend. we struggled to get tables everywhere. we eventually ended up here. i must admit that i was reluctant because the prices seemed a bit steep. the tastier pizzas hover around the r100 mark. it's worth it though. awesome crust, great flavours but so so service.

my partner and i went for dinner...this place has everything and more!!!

he had oysters and said they were the best yet that hed tasted....i had sushi...it was so fresh and my mouth tasted of the sea.

lovely food...place...setting...staff...vegas was a man who loves his job and does it well.

will definitely be back there soon.

great place to dine with friends and family, warm and friendly. oysters were super fresh, east coast soles were grilled just right. side salad was soggy and tartar sauce had too much mayonnaise, great wine but pricey, but will definitely come again!

it was a good experience,. they have a good choice of wines. the wild oysters were very good, but expensive. the kingclip was exceptionally well done. the service was friendly and efficient. the decoration, well i have seen better in similar places, but we will comeback next time in knysna. and let us not forget the souvenir shop.

large restaurant with quaint shop inside , the starter foccacia with cheese was decent, however the chicken espetada was dry and difficult to swallow , all 3 orders , when they remade the espetada it was slightly better but still not worth finishing , service was good

an extremely disappointing experience. prawns were overcooked and difficult to remove from the shell. some sort of tomato salsa was passed off as a peri peri sauce. the menu is confused and much too large. will definitely not go back.

beautiful view. nice vibe. good sushi. good service. it is a shame that our glasses were dirty, but everything else was so great, it did not bother me too much.

fantastic food with such great service. sushi is fresh. also had breakfast on another occasion which we enjoyed so much. we'll be back in the future.

good food, our waitron, sydney, was very friendly and eager to help with changing items on the menu. what was bothersome was being told that the balance of the bottle of wine that my wife ordered with her meal could not be taken with after paying the bill, by a manager. then said manager matter-of-factly gave the government restrictions guidelines of what can and can't be taken away. if that is the case, then they should have a warning saying that if you not finishing the bottle, please don't bother ordering it, r150 for 2 glasses of average wine is not great. order by the glass rather, if you not in the trade, you never going to know. otherwise, enjoyable evening nonetheless.

not the first time we have been to 34 south. without doubt the best calamari steaks both myself and my partner have ever had and is a no brainers for us every time we get away from joey's down the coast. also great sushi. everything they serve is 100% fresh and the atmosphere and location is great.
