the preparation of thefooddoes not match the exuberance of the menu. my seventh grader said the burger tasted like the school cafeteria. the bacon bits were plain disgusting. they tasted like undercooked fat, and made my daughter throw up. the breadin of the cheese curds was vaguely reminiscent of chicken fried steak, and the fries were served lukewarm. the coconut pie milk shake was incredibly smooth and balanced, and topped with a remarkably thick fresh whipped cream with the constancy of butter. however, pleasing the shake was, it was not worth the $30 we spent. don't waste your time and money coming here.

we ate at zombie burger last night after searching and searching for an open, downtown pizza shop. with 6 hungry kids in our group, driving past zombie burger was like finding a desert oasis. we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in-there was immediate seating on the counter side, pleanty of options for our healthy eaters (i had the small zombie salad-which was huge and delish), our burger officianados (dawn of the dead and the one with guac-both fabulous) and the chicken strips and mac and cheese for the kids were huge hits! for our family of 5, we ate for under $30, and we're stuffed! only criticism was the wait for the food-that being said-i'd rather wait for freshly preparesfoodthan getting setting that's been sitting under the lights for an hour. good food, fun downtown atmosphere, and most importantly: the kids were happy!

it’s ok......... i really don’t see the desire to stand in line for an hour (at times) when there is far betterfooda block away... yeah the zombie theme is cool and all the rage....but if you find a long wait, go else where.

would love to go here again, as i think my first experience pulled me down. i went with my friend and her mom with my family, and walking inside it was packed. we had heard zombie burger was good, however, so we didn't mind the wait. we sat outside in the patio, which was very nice. the restaurant in a whole itself was decorated very cool; the atmosphere is very authentic and different (in a good way!). however we had to wait for a good hour and a half, maybe longer. getting our food, i wasn't extremely impressed - it wasn't bad, but felt people made it sound really good. i don't like burgers but my family does, and they weren't very impressed, either. our servers were patient and friendly, but the service was slow andfoodwasn't the best.

deliciousfoodand amazing shakes! not many options for vegetarians (yes, it's a burger place, but my daughter doesn't like meat). the fries were supertastey. i had the crunch berries and cake shake. omg! don't think about the calories. come hungry. personally i avoided this place for awhile as zombies freak me out. the decor is cool, but personally i wasn't a fan. my family thought it was really fun. i would return for the food!

“zombies can't believe the energy we waste on nonfood pursuits.” ― patton oswalt, zombie spaceship wasteland. i had been waiting all week to try this unusually named place. we arrived right at 5pm on a friday and there was already a 30 to 45 minute wait. when we discovered we could almost immediately order at a counter and eat outside vs a long wait for full service, we opted for the counter route. it was a beautiful day and we luckily scored a table as soon as we walked outside. they called our number and we picked up and enjoyed our food.

i did my homework and knew i wanted to try a burger called they’re coming to get you barbara, a burger on bread that was not a traditional bun, with caramelized onions, bacon and cheese. it was great. my one complaint is i got too much burger. you see, i saw the 3 sizes and the large size still seemed reasonably priced at about $12. turned out it was a triple patty burger and boy was that a lot of food. heavy and delicious, i finished it all. i never did find out what zombie sauce was. i washed my burger down with a zombie joe shake. this coffee flavored shake was another star.

because we ate outside i missed some of the ambiance of the dining room. we did see a couple of zombies by the order counter that looked scary. kudos for cleverfoodnames and for being so popular.

come for the atmosphere, sit through a 40 minute wait, and stay for sub-qualityfoodand mostly the hostess's ass. i wanted to like the food, i really did. i kept my spirits high during our 40 minute wait with two cranky kids that thefoodwould be awesome; it was not. i ordered the dawn of the dead burger which was something i could of gotten at any burger place. my garlic bacon and blue cheese fries were actually inedible. i wish thefoodmatched the awesomeness of the atmosphere, because it blew me away. in all honesty i'll probably go there again just to see if it maybe it was a bad night or just to hang out.

great experience!. not only was thefoodgreat but the service and teamwork was as well. the bartender recommended everything and was spot on across the board. my experience was awesome to say the least and consisted of 2 peace tree blonde fatales, a raygun burger, zombie bride cake shake, and the only choice for i made all evening *bottoms up* a zombie bomb.

i've gone here twice and both were mixed. the first time was great, especially the food. the second time alright, thefoodwas okay and the service was not at its finest. at first glance it screams one word, modern, but when you go inside you may see businessmen getting out of work there discussing topics or the annoying hipster. 4/5 on my experiences.

all good! - almost.. i have eaten here a few times. thefoodis fun, the atmosphere is entertaining, and the staff is great. i have tried their "adult" milkshakes - delicious. tasty starter options: fried brussels sprouts and goat cheese + jalapeno poppers. any of the burger varieties will be good (they are made on the small side, so they're a better serving size for us).. with the exception of the zb veggie burger patty. i'm not a vegetarian, but i do enjoy eating vegetarian/vegan often. unfortunately, their house made veggie patty has been my least favorite thing on the menu. it was dry and i'd wished i'd ordered almost any other type of burger.

greatfoodand fun atmosphere...though the crowds of fans can keep you out at times.. i have been here several times and never had bad food. unfortunately, due to their high demand the wait can be exhausting and we've had to leave instead of waiting. thefoodand ambiance is definitely the draw.

so so. i think everyone should try zombie burger at least once. it's a pretty neat place. a friend treated me to lunch here, i'm not a big fan or burgers, but i was delighted to try thefoodhere. my burger was just okay, and the fries were really thin and soggy. on the other hand my milkshake was wonderful. i definitely recommend the carrot cake milkshake. our host was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu, however the man at the register where we paid was a bit grumpy and made us feel unwelcomed.

unique but not earthshattering. i went here on a saturday at lunch time. the wait was an understandable hour considering the time and date i was there. once seated, the wait staff was attentive, though a bit rude. the waiter was very short and snappy in a condescending way. i understand the need for efficiency in such a busy place but i also would like respect. at one point my drink had run dry and he swooped in to retrieve the glass for a refill. however, i was stopped in mid-bite of my burger because he didn't say anything to me and just grabbed for it. a little courtesy could go a long way at this place.

now onto the food. we ordered nachos as an appetizer and they were very delicious. the tortilla chips were amazing and the toppings were sufficient without having everything drenched in nacho cheese. the burgers are a hot mess though. i feel that for being so highly rated the quality of thefoodcould use some work as i have definitely had a better burger. if you are a fan of greasy spoonfoodthis is the place for you because that's how their burgers come.

what zombie burger does excel in is variety and uniqueness. i had the walking ched, which gets your burger served between two slabs of deep fried macaroni. it was definitely a unique and tasty experience. the serving was ample and i walked out with a full stomach. i also walked out with a stomach ache from all the grease consumed. the others in my party were likewise impressed with their orders but wanting less grease.

the bottom line is that if you are looking for a unique menu with a fun experience, this might be the place to go. if you are looking for a quality meal that won't leave you searching for your pepto bismol after you walk out then keep on walking.
