to begin with, this place serves some great burgers amd fries all around. i ordered zuchini fries, waffle fries and regular fries and all were amazing. beer is cheap as well. moreover, in the happy hours you can crackgooddeals. the ambience is reallygoodin comparison to the price of food. must try this place once in a while.
recommendations: waffle fries, zuchini fries.

worst burger place i've ever been to. the burgers were awful!! we got four different types of burgers with four different types of fries. the burgers were nearly inedible. they all tasted the same, like moldy cardboard mixed with sawdust and goo. horrible texture and taste. the zuchini fries were soggy and the prices for were waaaaay too high for the low quality food they gave. the waitresses were eating out of the plates they brought out to people, and random people just walked into the kitchen to say hi to people they knew who worked there. the point of a huge glass wall by the kitchen is to show that you have nothing to hide. zinburger would benefit from a large stone wall there to hide their staff (and random friends). the only thing that wasgoodwas the smoothie we ordered, although it wasn't anything fancy and was a bit overpriced, at least it was edible. will never go back to this place, i can't believe it has more than three stars on this site.

unimaginatively unappealing. one of the oddest catalina foothills burger-perspectives i've foreseeably followed routinely with peers and total strangers out of a random recommendation i got from the local scene on 4th.
even though i do not have an utmost and sincere hatred for zinburger, i also will not be going back, to either of their two tucson locations, because, as you see, its interior (as well exterior) design just didn't speak to me, its listed menu options were a bit pricey for what they ultimately were offering, and, among others, waitresses in miniskirts only work if the food they bring to your table is a) incrediblygoodand b) if they're attentive to their customers. neither accurately describes the waitresses at zb, sadly, so the miniskirts' seemingly only real function is to get as many guys in there as humanly possible. its look is a mix of indie awkwardness, post-modernist and tex-mex architecture. they have paintings of cows sniffing glasses of wine on their doors. um, okay. i ordered an applewood smoked bacon salad only to be boringly surprised with how much applewood smokiness it truly lacked. the service was nothing to write home about, if anything it would be just below "average" or "decent", however i was more than a little ticked at our waitresses: after nearing fifteen minutes and no food, she had come out of the kitchen only to see our table, our inpatient eyes, and avoided us entirely for most of the night. i'm not kidding, she avoided our table -- we actually had to call someone else over just so we can ask them if they knew anything about our food. they of course had no idea but soon enough the manager came out and apologized for the wait; free dipping bread and sauce was given to our table for the long-ass wait. nice effort, but it didn't save the meal for me at all. i also tried a burger, nothing too fancy, just an ordinary burger (pitched as a "zinburger") and thought it didn't have very much, if any, flavor. any fries bought here have to be purchased separately from the burger which i did, nor will i ever, understand.

3 out of 5. went there last night with my girlfriend and her father. we avoided the crowd and got a seat immediately outside, which made forgoodpeople watching.the staff was very attentive, knowledgable about the menu, and generally friendly. my girlfriend and her father tried the zinburger and i tried the kobe burger. at our waiters suggestion (can't remember his name but he had a beard and was a great waiter) we added some zuchinni fries and the truffle fries. the zuchinni fries were pretty tasty, crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. the truffle fries were also good. i prefer my fries to be a little thicker cut (these were shoestring style) but thats just a personal preference. . the zin burger with zinfandel marianated onions was very juicy , and the onions and cheese paired well with the meat. my kobe burger, which i ordered medium rare, unfortunately came out extremely rare (almost completely uncooked on the inside). i don't mind a rare burger from time to time so i decided not to make a stink about it and give it a try. the meat was indeed delicious, and i finished almost all of it. however, you would expect cooking temp to not ever be an issue at an upscale burger joint. a big flaw in my book. when i pointed it out to the waiter i specifically mentioned i wasn't complaining but wanted to let the chef know just for quality control. the waiter thanked me for the input and mentioned he would speak with the kitchen. i hope he did. quality control for such a simple menu should be spot on. for dessert we again took our waiters suggestion and ordered the chocolate cream and banana cream pie for my companions, and a kit kat shake for myself. the portions were huge! a great value, especially considering they all tasted great. we left a lot behind on those plates so i would suggest sharing. our bill was about $100. nothing crazy but it seemed a little high for 3 burgers, 2 orders of fries, 3 desserts and 1 drink apiece. all in all, i think this would have been a 4 star revue if my burger had come out cooked as ordered, and the price was a bit more resonable. i would however reccomend it, as i look forward to going back and giving it another try.

burgers good, fries good, drink awesome.... had the signature zinburger, sans bun, and the double truffle fries. both were verygood- the fries were a bit too salty for my taste. however, the best part of the meal was the bacon bloody mary! made with bacon vodka, spicy bloody mary mix, served with a strip of crispy bacon as garnish - this beverage was to die for! i'd go back just for that.

it was o.k.. the hambergers weregoodbut nothing extraordinary. fries were definitely over priced for the portion. we left with a $35 bill for 2 people which did not include any alcoholic beverages. i think your paying for the wow factor.

disappointing. stopped in for lunch while in the jerz. nice atmosphere, very clean and agoodconcept. the seats were plastic and uncomfortable and the table behind ours was half the height as ours, placing those diners' faces at around our butt level. it was awkward for sure. double truffle fries were pretty cold and a little mushy and the sweet potato fries were bland. i ordered the samburger, medium rare. while my dining companions ordered their burgers medium well. the server took the time to tell us what med-rare (warm, red center) and med-well meant, which i guess should have been a red flag. my burger came out raw. i am totally fine with rare, but not raw. as i tried to explain my point to the server, i was told over and over again, "warm, red center." she then asked me if i wanted to have my burger re-fired to medium and i declined. if that was the end all be all of their medium rare, my meal was done at that point. they did take the burger off of the check but did so with enough attitude to keep me from having a desire to return.

zin is in. love this place!!!! great food!!! love the bergers, fries shakes and pies. great food @ agoodprice.

juicy $12 burgers. how much is a burger suppose to cost? how much you you be willing to pay? i didn't believe in a $10 (basic) burger but.....i did. it was worth it. the meat is nothing like a flat in-and-out burger. the patty isgoodquality and juicy! flavor wise-average. the toppings are what sets it off (and rises the bill price.) i had mine with bacon, goat cheese, lettuce, pickle, and tomato.

service is always great and prfessional. the servers that i got were always cheerful and seemed genuine.

overall review- a nice place for a modern burger. atmosphere is lively and staff is great. prices could be a tad cheaper and meat could use a tad more flavoring.

good stuff. black truffel fries were excelent. my burger was over cooked but was still good(i hate sending things back so i deal)and the 4 bits of mushrooms on the burger was quickly fixed by bringing the correct amont out by my server. the buns were fresh and different, but in agoodway. crem brule milk shake was off the hook, service was friendly but par at best. the $75.00 tab (that included the tip) for 2 people made me cry.

tasty tucson gourmet burger!. tastiest gourmet burgers! every time i go to zin, my burger is cooked to perfection. i recommend the plain & simple burger or the kobe burger. each burger delight comes with it's own gourmet toppings but you can add custom toppings to fit your tastes. they also have an excellent chicken sandwich and turkey burger. there is something for everyone here - even a delicious veggie burger that melts in your mouth! the food is never greasy but very juicy and satisfying. appetizers like the sweet potato fries and zucchini fries are excellent. the milk shakes are heavenly--for chocolate lovers the bars of zin shake is my favorite - there is a date & honey milkshake which i noticed recently was taken of the menu; however, we asked for it and they were able to make it for us right away! the service is fast and friendly. the atmosphere is upbeat - a great place to go with friends for happy hour and great for families.goodwine and beer and mixed drink selections, outdoor seating is available. great prices, trendy and the best burger joint in tucson!

mixed bag. the service at zinburger is fantastic, friendly, attentive... the food is verygoodand definately worth going there for... but the atmosphere.... it's a feng shui nightmare!! mirrors everywhere, totally uncomfortable seating arrangement and the biggest turn off for me?... the huge mural of cows in green pastures on the wall... it's like "hi, here's the cow your going to eat"... not good. also, the use of pergo flooring on the ceiling... yikes! so, go for the food and service, but be prepared to not be able to talk to whoever you go with, because the acoustics are deafening... better yet... get take out!

i recommend the truffle fries and the kobe burger.
the creme brulee shake is amazing as well.
