best sushi in charleston period.. yep, i said it all in the title. it is the best sushi in charleston.

there other dishes areexcellentas well. you'll be paying a good bit for this sushi, but the food is so delicious its well worth it.

cool building, nice staff, great food. i eat here as frequently as i can afford it!

greeted and seated promptly. will providedexcellentservice! the bar area is really pretty and the dinning area is tastefully decorated. i loved the background music, not too loud and great play list!

i made a strange combo order, edamame+wings+side salad. hubby ordered sashimi. he picked wonton soup as his side. will expertly paced my odd ball order to coincide with hubbies meal.

first out, the edamame. warm plump and perfectly salted. great share dish! next, he served my side salad and hubbies soup. my salad was fresh and came with a creamy ginger dressing. hubby let me taste his soup and the broth was very tasty and light. he loved the delicate wontons. not the usual overly doughy ones you might expect!

next, he was served his sashimi as i was served my wings. i didn't try the sashimi but i trust my hubbies opinion and he said it was fresh and tasty! my wings were juicy and meaty. basically fried chicken served with an asian sweet sauce. the wings were good but the sauce was a bit too sweet. hubby liked it with the wings. sweet/salty, i usually fall for but i would of liked it more if they had coated the chicken with it. dipping was messy.

presentation of the sashimi was very cool.

my awkward all appetizer order with hubbies main meal order could of been served many different ways. will timed it so that neither one of us was served alone. i appreciate that.

every intent of going back. while the presentation misses the mark a few times (the tunatini is delicious but looks ridiculous), flavor wise these guys knock it out of the park.excellentflavors and anybody that looks at the menu and sees things they think they'd like, you're most likely going to. had a table ranging from people that really expect restaurants to wow them with complexity to people looking for mild, "safe" flavors, all i heard from anybody was praise.

love this place! much cooler looking on the inside than the outside would indicate.

the fourbtimes i have been the service has always beenexcellentand helpful. the sushi always fresh and delicious.
i tend to prefer a more basic style of sushi and they have numerous fresh rolls, nigiri and sashimi that accomodate my tastes. they also have he numerous array fo beautiful specialty rolls that are fantastic and if you prefer your sauces on the side like i do they accomidate!

a perfect place to take a date!!!

good food,excellentservice. i enjoyed the dinner i ate there. i had the seaweed salad, iron man roll and a banana dessert. the seaweed salad was my favorite part of the meal, enjoyable with a sesame dressing. the seaweed wasn't too fishy tasting, so it was excellent. the iron man roll was good, bordering on excellent. the banana dessert was forgettable. i will go back and i won't order that dessert. overall, this restaurant was good.

the service, which apparently was the previous downfall to this restaurant, according to other reviews, was excellent. they went above and beyond when i had a problem. everything was prompt and explained well.

as i said previously, i will definitely return.

this place is anexcellentfind! the other reviews you have read about the not so flashy exterior are absolutely correct, but this place definitely makes up in interior ambience! the food is definitely on point as well. i tried everything we had on the table and everything was good. management and staff were helpful accomodating and on point. me and my friends tend to make a scene and they definitely rolled with us. sunday mimosas are a must...!
