forced to leave because we were accompanied by people with special needs: i never write bad reviews, but this experience was truly infuriating. i work for a company that helps people with special needs and disabilities and went intoyurifor lunch with some coworkers and clients. the clients have very specific diets and several diet restrictions, but we still like to take them out for lunch outings because it's nice to have a change in atmosphere every now and then and they really enjoy going on outings. the owner ofyurirefused to let them eat the lunch the two of them brought in, even though the rest of us were ordering/purchasing the restaurant's food.. when we said we'd have to leave because the clients are required to stick to their diets and are unable to eat the restaurant's food, he proceeded to tell us he was not sorry at all and that it's "common sense that they can't eat outside food in a restaurant." he was unbelievably rude and was absolutely discriminating against people with disabilities.. the waitress, however, was very apologetic. we have never experienced this problem at any other restaurant and i don't expect to ever encounter the issue again because any person in their right mind wouldn't have the audacity to act in such a way. i was very excited to try this place but will certainly never be returning.

awful experience. i had an awful experience atyuritonight and sadly it wasn't because of the food. while enjoying my tuna tower, i shockingly viewed the owner ofyurithrow out two couples with their children simply because they had children! as a mother of 3, who goes to many restaurants with her kids, i was absolutely disgusted and offended by this type of behavior. although the sushi was fresh, i doubt i will ever go back to this restaurant after what i witnessed.

want to know where to get first-rate sushi? look no further thanyurijapanese restaurant near trader joe's in cary. this modern, family-owned restaurant’s motto is “quality is our recipe.” superb rolls, sashimi, nigiri and other traditional japanese fare are all freshly prepared and artfully presented. house specialty ahi tower features an upright assortment of tuna, crabmeat, avocado and three types of caviar. owner thomas sun, originally from korea, says the ahi tower is yuri's biggest selling menu item. his son, edward, fills the roll sushi chef quite capably. he honed his skills in los angeles, dallas and other large cities.   more than three dozen special rolls are available, most of which you won't find anywhere else. the atmosphere atyuriis serene and comfortable. service is consistently excellent. it's a great place to go for a quiet lunch or even a romantic dinner with someone special.    discover more aboutyuriat www.yurijapaneserestaurant.com .

some of the best sushi in cary. i have eaten atyurihalf a dozen times and never been disappointed. everything is delicious but the sushi is unbeatable. i highly recommend the sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. their rice-free rolls are also very good, although pricey. the decor is soothing, the staff is very friendly, and everything is always clean.

yuri is next to trader joe's on kildaire farm rd, so i've driven past it many times but from the exterior it looked something like a fast food chain, so i've never bothered to stop by. after our trip to shabashabu last week, my husband was in the mood for tonkatsu, so i deliberately picked a restaurant that would serve it.yurihas a menu online so it's easy enough to check it out, and i would advise it since the lunch menu and dinner menu seem to be quite different. i only saw the tonkatsu offered at dinner so we stopped by at about 5:30pm on saturday evening. the exterior looked pretty cheap and generic, like all the other stores and restaurants along this strip of kildaire, but the interior was really nicely done. immediately to your right on entering there are a couple of semi-private eating areas for up to 6 people, where you would sit on the floor and eat off a small table just a foot above the ground. i asked if these tables were available and was told no, they were already rese

fabulous!. my wife and i love sushi -- i.e. sashimi and nigiri for me and sushi rolls for her. we ordered the sushi combo for two plus and extra roll (since i'm a big eater). at other restaurants i would still have been hungry. atyurii was stuffed and we took rolls home. the best part though was the incredibly high quality of the seafood. i've been eating shushi for 21 years. -- it just doesn't get any better. btw the service was great as well!

absolutely love it!!!.yuriserves quality sushi. i'm real particular about sushi and, even in california, you won't find better sushi. cary is so lucky to have this wonderful place right here! the atmosphere is great, the service attentive and friendly, and the sushi is artistic, well presented, and very fresh and moist. you gotta come here! there are coupons on their website if you need more incentive. get thee to yuri!
