forced to leave because we were accompanied by people with special needs: i never write bad reviews, but this experience was truly infuriating. i work for a company that helps people with special needs and disabilities and went into yuri for lunch with some coworkers and clients. the clients have very specific diets and several diet restrictions, but we still like to take them out for lunch outings because it's nice to have a change in atmosphere every now and then and they really enjoy going on outings. the owner of yuri refused to let them eat the lunch the two of them brought in, even though the rest of us were ordering/purchasing the restaurant's food.. when we said we'd have to leave because the clients are required to stick to their diets and are unable to eat the restaurant's food, he proceeded to tell us he was not sorry at all and that it's "common sense that they can't eat outsidefoodin a restaurant." he was unbelievably rude and was absolutely discriminating against people with disabilities.. the waitress, however, was very apologetic. we have never experienced this problem at any other restaurant and i don't expect to ever encounter the issue again because any person in their right mind wouldn't have the audacity to act in such a way. i was very excited to try this place but will certainly never be returning.

not greatfoodand poor customer service. took my 2 daughters there for lunch today. we hurried after a soccer game to make it in time for lunch and arrived at exactly 2:25, we were seated and then promptly told they would charge us dinner prices (which are really expensive!). we showed her our cellphones showing the times 2:22, 2:23, and 2:25, but she told us that their clock (which was obviously fast) said 2:30, therefore they were charging us dinner prices.
nice! we left and will not be back. terrible customer service! there are too many other good places around here to get sushi with a smile. hope they're satisfied with loosing a family of regular customers over 5 minutes.
besides their sushi which is decent at lunch prices, the rest of thefoodthere is pretty gross, particularly their salad dressing, which is runny and the teriyaki chicken with what seems to be bottled sauce dumped on top. they also use cheap dark meat chicken.
back to sushi thai for us!

pretty good!. my daughter and i ate there for lunch and ordered 2 bento boxes with nigiri, a california roll, one had teriyaki chicken, the other had vegetable tempura and salad. now, the good and the bad:
the bad first: tthe chicken was seriously overcooked with some not so tasty teriyaki sauce dumped on top. the salad was inedible. it was floating around some tasteless, runny, watery something that i assume was supposed to be salad dressing.
on the other hand, the nigiri and california roll were very good. the seafood tasted very fresh! the miso soup and tempura were good (standard). the wait staff was friendly and attentive and the decor is attractive and modern. the restaurant was very clean, including the bathrooms (which i really appreciate), and the wait staff was very busy cleaning in between orders.

yuri is next to trader joe's on kildaire farm rd, so i've driven past it many times but from the exterior it looked something like a fastfoodchain, so i've never bothered to stop by. after our trip to shabashabu last week, my husband was in the mood for tonkatsu, so i deliberately picked a restaurant that would serve it. yuri has a menu online so it's easy enough to check it out, and i would advise it since the lunch menu and dinner menu seem to be quite different. i only saw the tonkatsu offered at dinner so we stopped by at about 5:30pm on saturday evening. the exterior looked pretty cheap and generic, like all the other stores and restaurants along this strip of kildaire, but the interior was really nicely done. immediately to your right on entering there are a couple of semi-private eating areas for up to 6 people, where you would sit on the floor and eat off a small table just a foot above the ground. i asked if these tables were available and was told no, they were already rese

very good!. i dined at this restaurant multiple times and it has been very good. thefoodwas fresh, and the price was fair; the serving size was perfect. you have to try the monkey brain sushi roll, it is exceptional! i scrolled down and saw two negative comments made by yeam and eric, and i can not believe that we went to the same restaurant, they must have made a mistake.

give this one a try. i've been back here twice and it was great. the sushi presentation is one of the best i've ever seen - not what i expected in cary.foodwas very good and service was excellent. i hope it makes it in that location. it keeps me from driving further for a good japanese restaurant and for sushi i'm not sure where i'd drive to get better.

best japanesefoodin raleigh area. we couldn't wait to try this place, and have been back many times since. the whole experience is great. brand new, clean and authentic in every detail. thefoodis great, and the head sushi chef is absolutely amazing! every order is a gorgeous work of art. prices are 'typical' for a japanese sushi restaurant, and well worth the price.
