i rate this place 4 stars for food, the good dishes were really good! need to be careful what you order i think. alcohol was terrible though eek. i'll talk about the food first:
- leek dumplings 4/5, came with a nice sauce and ginger-y filling, i would've preferred a smoother filling personally
- edamame moneybags 5/5 yum such a good filling and quite unique!
- broccolini 5/5 - very filling and tasty dish, it had an awesome batter/texture. the waiter this was meat lovers favourite dish if you're coming with any non-vegetarians
- fried zucchini 3/5 great sauce but not mind blowing, it was basically just a whole zucchini but had this tasty thai style sauce with it
- vietnamese pancakes 5/5, came with a mushroom filling which i loved and the sauce paired really well
- potato croquettes 5/5, came with delicious beetroot and the flavors matched really well
- cauliflower 2/5, was hard (not cooked until it was soft) and did not really have a great flavor. the sauce was also like that bad guacamole that is 10% avocado and 90% sour cream etc
- sticky date dessert 2/5, had a glue like texture and was so tiny. came with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream and not the special kind...not keen
- negroni was unfortunately a 1/5 because it was all ice! the flavor was like a standard negroni but it must have been a premix and like only one shot added to the glass of ice because with one sip more than half of it was gone and i am not exaggerating
- g&t also just tasted like ice i could not taste any gin

moral of the story- come here just for the savory food and avoid ordering alcohol or dessert. the best dishes were the "small plates". i did really like yulli's but just a few question marks!

there are some restaurants that genuinely impress you with the flavours they bring to to the plate, and the combinations you find in front of you. yulli's in surry hills was one such place. . yulli's is an all vegetarian restaurant tucked away in surry hills. if you didn't know it was there you would definitely walk passed it wondering what the crowd here was about! yulli's also is a brewery, and overall supports local australian brews which i absolutely love.

yulli’s was a great experience. with a great range of vegan options this place made my mouth water. i’m not a vegan myself but to try new things and eat healthily it was fun. i got the banquet option and my personal highlights were the broccoli, dumplings and the desserts. you’ll have to book to get a seat but you won’t be disappointed! excellent food and service!

came here over the weekend. it was a cold rainy night, so was glad to get into the warmth. however we were placed right at the back in a dingy type of room next to the beer fridge. it was cute, but i felt like i was in someone's garage.
anyway.... onto the food, we ordered the fried broccoli with hot sour sauce 10/10!! it was absolutely delicious. the broccoli was hot and crunchy and the sauce, sweet and sticky! yum!
unfortunately it goes downhill from there.
the other 2 dishes were the croquette's, which were a trial and the halloumi pocket with chips.
the croquettes were super dry and tasteless, very disappointing considering they sounded pretty nice on the menu.
the pocket was again average, just like you would get at a takeaway shop, nothing special.
would love to go back, as i think we ordered the wrong dishes.
staff were lovely and attentive! and the food was out quick.

another amazing place with so much options for the vegetarians. a must try veggie lovers! went there with my bae and we decided to share the food so that we can try more dishes. we called for steamed leek dumplings, roasted cauliflower with avo and naan pocket - all of which was just scrumptious. the service was friendly and the ambience was great too.
ambience - 4/5
food - 5/5
value for money - 4/5
service - 4/5

worth for the money; the taste was good; an affordable place at the city; loved the service and the starters were good; the only negative was that sons of the sausage we asked to remove was still in the food

such a cosy, warm, welcoming restaurant. it was super busy when we went so make sure to book a table. i like how this restaurant offers vegan wine as well as food. the vegan dishes were amazing- especially the broccolini. the staff were attentive, patient and explained the menus and wines to us.

came for the banquet dinner, but unfortunately it is a minimum of 4 people. the website does not state this, which is pretty frustrating. we had to order off the main menu instead. the dumplings where really fresh and flavorsome. the pancakes had an interesting taste. we also tried the tofu papaya salad which was a little disappointing. the eggplant was a great main course also. will return with a larger group to try the banquet. the variety of beer is really good with some interesting choices.

food was delicious n varied. service was very good, though started off a bit slow. they were busy on this particular night. it was a tad crowded and quite noisy. would go back to try some other dishes on their tempting menu.

best veg restaurant i have tried so far. brilliant food and friendly service. the zucchini flower dish is a highlight. the only thing i could possibly compliant is the pinot noir i ordered, which seemed from an open bottle for a while. otherwise i would give a 5!

even without a reservation on a busy monday evening, we were warmly seated at a table for 4 although it was just the 2 of us. we were reminded that the table had been reserved so we would have to leave by 8pm. nevertheless, our first visit was not at all rushed. the order was taken promptly and served hot with enough time to enjoy a wine and a nice chat with other couples seated beside us. the staff are very attentive - our table was cleared and bill finalised very efficiently. i enjoyed the food we ordered and recommend the goats cheese croquets, zucchini flowers and dolmates. they were delish!

every single item on the yullis menu is a breath of fresh air, and is sure to mix up your dining experiences whenever they begin to stale. did i also forget to mention that they are all vegetarian!?

favourite items include the korean fried broccolini. so incredibly crispy, sticky and addictive, i want to kidnap the chef so i don’t have to ever be apart from this dish. ever.

some other good things include some haloumi thing i tried once as well as the mushroom pizza. not so great (but still alright) things include the rice rolls which were a little bit salty.

make sure you book a table before going in as they get very busy for dinner!

went to yulli's for the first time today for nice vegan meal. unfortunately, this restaurant was less than underwhelming. very poor service with ordered food never arriving. very poor service. left with no food and very hungry after waiting for 45 minutes

great food, nice atmosphere and friendly service.

we had dumplings, zucchini flowers, rice paper rolls, tofu/papaya salad and finish with sweet potato doughnut; everything was delicious. i'm definitely coming back for more.
