we finally got to try this restaurant! last time we entered it's doors we tried our luck not reserving a table. a noob mistake right there haha.

there is certainly charm in having a dimly lighted establisment to create an intimate moment with the people you are with. the drawback with this is it takes out the visual appreciation of the food. there is also an interesting contrast with the kitchen, well lighted and busy.

we ordered an appetizer parmesan fries which we enjoyed. i ordered the torched salmon donburi and my gf got the chicken rice item. it seemed simple to me that my disy is rice topped with salmon which i am familiar with but your local added a few ingredients to make it nothing short of amazing. the sauces combined with freshly chopped veg added more flavor. it was also a perfect choice to let the salmon sit on the black rice because most certain that the oil from it would coat the rice. i was surprised to realize that the dish is satisfying and definitely filled me up.

i would definitely say that the experience opened my eyes to new possibilities of preparing my baon rice with salmon in new ways to delve away from the ordinary.

i haven't had any beverage and dessert so i would definitely go back and experience another quality meal that your local has to offer.

this "feel good chicken" will really make you feel good. ive tried different kinds of chicken wings but so far this is one of my fave! crispy skin.. not spicy.. and most of all the cream cheese on the side add to the yumminess.

worth the hype. i liked how cozy it felt, while also displaying crisp, chic arrive. plus, it was nice to see the chef really cooking it in front of you, and doing the presentation. had a lovely time chatting with my kumares. a

fantastic food prepared with a unique twist. however, the loud pop-music on constant blast does not match the otherwise great ambience of the restaurant. because of this, i'd go alone or with friends, but not for business or intimate conversations. the salmon donburi and chicken rice are my usual go-tos for lunch.

i always find myself coming back to this place whenever i'm in the area. love the ambiance and interiors of this restaurant! i never fail to crave for and order the parmesan fries and the torched salmon donburi, which is their absolute bestseller! it's unique in its own way, you can't find anything like it elsewhere. i loooove the shitake rice and the tenderness of the salmon. other things i've tried are the steak fried rice and the lamb rendang. i feel that the steak and eggs are somewhat overpriced, but good nonetheless! the lamb rendang was deliciously spicy and very flavorful. i still choose the salmon donburi over anything else! would always go back to this place and try their other stuff!

was impressed at the plating (presentation). the "secret sauce" of the mock mentaiko fries was creamy-rich and, so, there seemed to be too much of it smothering the fries. see if you can request the sauce to be served on the side.

the super-tender torched salmon donburi is the best salmon dish i have ever tasted. as for the steak fried rice, the "korean-spiced" wagyu was thankfully not spicy at all, and the rice itself was flavorful. the pleasant surprise to this dish was the mint sauce brushed along the plate.

i was underwhelmed by the cereal milk ice cream. it was basically fruity pebbles/fruit loops cereal in milk that was frozen into an ice cream. sadly, there was nary a chunk of pebble/loop embedded or atop the three scoops, and only some rainbow-colored shavings were dusted onto the (yummy) fruity mascarpone that was spread to one side of the bowl. a rather drab-looking and equally drab-tasting topping (called milk crumbs?) dominated the dessert.

it was nice that they offered kopi-c, which is iced coffee with condensed milk. the delicious twist was in the orange flavoring. i chose to order it at the beginning of the meal so that i could enjoy it throughout.

the service was quick and attentive despite the full house. seating was very tight--there wasn't room to pull apart our table from the couple seated right beside us. the live acoustics of the albeit high-ceilinged space and the absence of dampening surfaces made for a very noisy dining experience.

i will come back, though, for their innovative and high-quality fare. while pricey, all their dishes--including dessert--can be shared by two.

we tried their chorizo sandwich with the squid ink bun, braised beef pasta and lamb rendang. i would say that the food is delicious and i enjoyed my dining experience but i would say it is expensive. the look and feel of the resto is very industrial. the staff are nice and accommodating. i would say this resto is a good place for meeting up with friends but a bit noisy since the space is small and it's an open kitchen hence conversations may be a bit difficult. the good thing about it is that after your meal you can go directly to yardstick for coffee which is just behind that big rotating door.  all in all, this restaurant is good definitely a must try if you are into asian cuisine.

"one of the best restaurants in the world."

if that line right there doesn't make you want to visit your local, i don't know what will. it's not often that restos from the philippines gets to have that kind of prestige, so the moment a certain restaurant makes the cut, i'm sure you'd definitely be hyped to check it out.

i visited your local with friends right after attending #artfairph2017 a few weeks back. didn't get the chance to have a reservation, we just walked in. we were ready to be waitlisted but luckily there was a table available!

i've been around the area a few times already and i was seriously amazed by how "unassuming" and somewhat hidden their location is. and what i'd like to call the secret door that leads you inside the restaurant is really cool! it's like saying "come inside and have the most amazing culinary experience of your life!"

okay. i'll stop all the babbling and get to the best part, the fooooood!

mock mentaiko fries - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it's your fave fries with nori and secret sauce. now i don't know what the hell they put in there but this is the best fries i have ever had in my life! 😍 sobrang sarap, legit! i literally scraped off the sauce left on the plate after we demolished the fries! and i'm not even asahmed to admit that. hihi. ✌🏻

lamb rendang - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
this is legit a-grade lamb meat with sous vide organic egg, sweet soy, mint, cilantro and red raisin black rice. my gosh, i don't even know how to describe the yumminess of this dish! the lamb meat was cooked to perfection, it's a party in your mouth with every bite. i'm not a fan of black rice or brown rice or red rice for that matter, i just always find it not cooked right. but the red raisin black rice that goes with this lamb rendang is amaziiiiin'!

braised beef pasta - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
minced beef with torched parmesan on fettuccini with red wine. so this one is just okay. i mean it's delicious and all but it didn't wow me like the other dishes did. and it's too maasim. i'm not sure if it's supposed to taste like that but masyadong maasim for me. but the redeeming thing is the fettuccini was al dente! not "malata", it was firm and i also loved the generous amount of minced beef.

torched salmon donburi - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
oh, sorry i put too many stars. but i just felt like no amount of stars can justify how seriously scrumptious this dish is! the norwegian salmon is torched and cooked medium, together with mentaiko, oboro, ebiko, and salmon skin on roast corn goes perfectly with the shitake black rice. melts in your mouth salmon goodness! it was so deliciously good! 😍😋 hands down the best salmon dish out there. every bite is like dying of foodie goodness and going straight to foodie heaven! like ate the server who asked us how was our food, i answered that this is my favorite. to which she replied, "it's everybody's favorite."

your local definitely deserves the line "one of the best restaurants in the world". ❤

your local is a great place for lunchtime cocktails and a lunch that is a little fancy without the need to wear a suit. the place is nicely decorated with subway tiled walls and old style cafe tables and chairs.

we came in for coffee but this isn't served so drinks over ice it was. the arnie parmer tea and orange was a nice combo and the saltiness of the lemonade had you enjoying the sips.

the clear winner was the chorizo burger. this thing made your mouth water with every bite! the cheese sprinkled chips were great!

we had a pleasant time here. the dimly-lit interiors was perfect for a catch up with a friend. a server conversed with us on several occasions; we didn't mind his 'mindful interruptions' as it helped us warm up to the space even more.

i loved dining at the bar table near the door. so close to the kitchen, watching the servers prep the meals actually put me in a mild trance.

the torched salmon donburi and lamb rendang were superb choices for dinner, despite having had a quick rendezvous at yardstick prior. there was richness and depth in flavor, and plating was sublime.

their version of seafood laksa using fetuccine noodles. i like how creamy the soup is, however it is way too overpriced for the serving. there were maybe 5 pcs of mussels and half a fishball. that’s it. it was only filling because of the noods. i have heard a lot about this place which is why i wanted to try it out, but it was really underwhelming.

we ordered lamb and their hainanese chicken.
the taste of lamb is spicy which i think killed the strong after taste of the meat that is good. the cucumber purée is sweet perfect match for the spiciness of lamb. i’m not a fan of black rice so i have it switched with my friend. he ordered the chicken. ginger rice is a must. if you’re not a foodie explorer you can try the chicken ginger rice. they have big servings too, i find the price a bit pricey but this is a 4 rated restaurant. they also have private space for gatherings and bar! very cozy ambience, staffs were attentive, we did not wait more than 10minutes for our orders to arrive, the dishes are cooked freshly upon ordering.

this is a good place. it feels safe dining here even in the midst of pandemic. everything is safely prepared, they will give mini paperbags as mask holder, the utensils were plastic-covered. you will be required to sanitize as well before entering.

we ordered the chicken, beef rendang and salmon. all were tasty and servings were enough for our appetite.

service was great, the waitress helped us navigate thru the menu and even adjusted the menu on their app. using zomato pro made everything contactless and easy.

the food was great. i highly recommend the salmon donburi bowl, it's a bit pricey but well worth it. we got the cereal ice cream to finish things off and it was like having a tiny piece of heaven in our mouth. chef denny did a great job with the place and i personally look forward to coming back here to try the rest of their dishes.

my favorite place in legazpi village! i would drive to makati just to get my your local fix. place is packed during dinner - be sure to reserve/call ahead of time to secure your dining spot. parking is also hard. but the food and ambience makes up for this. my favorite dish would have to be the chorizo burger paired with the truffled fries. heaven on earth. staff is also attentive too. 10/10 one of my favorite restaurants in the metro.
