i was finally able to go into this well-hidden spot in makati. my friend and i were fortunate enough to be accommodated immediately during the busy dinner service your local had on a saturday.

i have ordered their braisebeefpasta and torched salmon donburi for my friend. it was said to be the restaurant's musts and i can definitely attest to that! the fresh, mid rare cooked salmon with crispy salmon skin served under a bed of shiitake and corn forbidden rice. it is tucked over by mentaiko and tobiko and a sous vide egg. it's a mix of different textures and flavors, giving you salty, sweet, crunchy and soft all in one bite. very subtle at first, but packs in a fresh, flavorful umami punch.

the braisedbeefpasta was served al dente and the sauce was indeed very rich, meaty and soft. you can see the strands of beef, broken down enough to envelope the pasta with that meaty and savory taste, perfectly mixed in tomato sauce, cheese and basil.

try their sea salt lemonade and strawberry lemonade too! very refreshing and it helps cleanses the palate. :)

i'll definitely go back here and bring my friends or a significant other over. ❤️

i was looking for a nearby restaurant my friends and i could try for my birthday dinner. my friend suggested your local, since it has great online reviews. she also mentioned that the place seemed to get fully booked, so she reserved a table for the 5 of us on april 23rd.

the signage was simple and easy to miss. good thing my friend got there first, so she just met us out on the street. they only have street parking. when we entered, we noticed the place did get packed, so the reservation was indeed necessary.

we ordered braisedbeefpasta, lamb rendang, truffle cream fettucini, torched salmon donburi, chorizo sandwich, and a bottle of red wine. we shared so we could all have a taste out of each plate.

both the truffle cream fettucini and braisedbeefpasta had unpleasant aftertastes. the lamb rendang was too spicy and had an undesirable aftertaste as well. the torched salmon donburi was a bit tolerable. tasty, even. but after eating the first three, i wasn't in the mood for half-raw fish anymore. out of the 5 dishes we ordered, the only thing i will recommend would be the chorizo sandwich. but at this point i'm not sure if this is because it was really tasty, or because it was the only thing which tasted like digestible food at that point.

the bottle of red wine was served at room temperature. we ordered it the same time we ordered the food. we asked them to serve it the same time they serve us the food, but then when the food came, they just took the bottle out of the shelf, and served it as it was. they didn't bother to chill it even for a little bit, considering they have enough time to do so.

i thought it was just me. but then i asked my companions and all 5 of us had the same thoughts about the food. i do not know what happened, because i read all of the reviews and almost all said the food was great. but the 5 of us certainly had a bad experience that night. we ended up finishing the chorizo sandwich but leaving the rest, even the wine.

it was all just too disappointing, i felt my birthday dinner was such a failure. add that to the fact that nothing in their menu comes cheap. not the least bit worth it.

giving it a 1.5 because of the nice ambiance and because the staff sang me a happy birthday.

we tried their chorizo sandwich with the squid ink bun, braisedbeefpasta and lamb rendang. i would say that the food is delicious and i enjoyed my dining experience but i would say it is expensive. the look and feel of the resto is very industrial. the staff are nice and accommodating. i would say this resto is a good place for meeting up with friends but a bit noisy since the space is small and it's an open kitchen hence conversations may be a bit difficult. the good thing about it is that after your meal you can go directly to yardstick for coffee which is just behind that big rotating door.  all in all, this restaurant is good definitely a must try if you are into asian cuisine.

"one of the best restaurants in the world."

if that line right there doesn't make you want to visit your local, i don't know what will. it's not often that restos from the philippines gets to have that kind of prestige, so the moment a certain restaurant makes the cut, i'm sure you'd definitely be hyped to check it out.

i visited your local with friends right after attending #artfairph2017 a few weeks back. didn't get the chance to have a reservation, we just walked in. we were ready to be waitlisted but luckily there was a table available!

i've been around the area a few times already and i was seriously amazed by how "unassuming" and somewhat hidden their location is. and what i'd like to call the secret door that leads you inside the restaurant is really cool! it's like saying "come inside and have the most amazing culinary experience of your life!"

okay. i'll stop all the babbling and get to the best part, the fooooood!

mock mentaiko fries - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it's your fave fries with nori and secret sauce. now i don't know what the hell they put in there but this is the best fries i have ever had in my life! 😍 sobrang sarap, legit! i literally scraped off the sauce left on the plate after we demolished the fries! and i'm not even asahmed to admit that. hihi. ✌🏻

lamb rendang - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
this is legit a-grade lamb meat with sous vide organic egg, sweet soy, mint, cilantro and red raisin black rice. my gosh, i don't even know how to describe the yumminess of this dish! the lamb meat was cooked to perfection, it's a party in your mouth with every bite. i'm not a fan of black rice or brown rice or red rice for that matter, i just always find it not cooked right. but the red raisin black rice that goes with this lamb rendang is amaziiiiin'!

braisedbeefpasta - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
mincedbeefwith torched parmesan on fettuccini with red wine. so this one is just okay. i mean it's delicious and all but it didn't wow me like the other dishes did. and it's too maasim. i'm not sure if it's supposed to taste like that but masyadong maasim for me. but the redeeming thing is the fettuccini was al dente! not "malata", it was firm and i also loved the generous amount of minced beef.

torched salmon donburi - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
oh, sorry i put too many stars. but i just felt like no amount of stars can justify how seriously scrumptious this dish is! the norwegian salmon is torched and cooked medium, together with mentaiko, oboro, ebiko, and salmon skin on roast corn goes perfectly with the shitake black rice. melts in your mouth salmon goodness! it was so deliciously good! 😍😋 hands down the best salmon dish out there. every bite is like dying of foodie goodness and going straight to foodie heaven! like ate the server who asked us how was our food, i answered that this is my favorite. to which she replied, "it's everybody's favorite."

your local definitely deserves the line "one of the best restaurants in the world". ❤

this is a good place. it feels safe dining here even in the midst of pandemic. everything is safely prepared, they will give mini paperbags as mask holder, the utensils were plastic-covered. you will be required to sanitize as well before entering.

we ordered the chicken, beefrendang and salmon. all were tasty and servings were enough for our appetite.

service was great, the waitress helped us navigate thru the menu and even adjusted the menu on their app. using zomato pro made everything contactless and easy.

coming to your local, i had pretty high expectations because my sister would rave about it whenever they would go. i finally found the chance to give it a shot and see what all the fuss is about for myself.

i was able to go to your local for lunch on a very hot day. it was a bit hard to spot. fortunately we found parking right across it. we entered the old business building and headed through a nameless and unremarkable set of double doors. inside, i found myself in a dimly lit, new-york style interior with its wooden floors, industrial ceiling, and red bricks and tiles whenever possible. there were a bunch of people around. the waiter routinely ushered us to our table.

we ordered their braisedbeefpasta and their chorizo sandwich. for our drinks, cranny smith and negroni. and i just found out that zomato gold’s 2+2 drinks means you get the exact same two drinks. sad. their menu also doesn’t offer a good variety of dishes. i mean, it’s ok. but i’d like more choices.

i enjoyed their braisedbeefpasta! it was satisfying. well seasoned and well cooked, i appreciated the fresh basil in the pasta. it was the cheapest among their main dishes. price is not bad for what i got.

now, the chorizo sandwich came with what i think is fries with strands of cheese on top. the sandwich itself was pretty good. i liked it along with the fries and the smoky ketchup sauce thing. the burger was packed with flavor and it was juicy. it’s just, after eating half or 3/4ths of it, you kind of get too sick of it to continue. plus, it’s pricey.

negroni was just ok. cranny smith was sweet in the first taste and then very sour. not bad.

food: 4/5
service: 4/5
interior: 4.5/5
value for money: 3/5

a hole-in-the-wall smack in the middle of legaspi village, your local has just the right ambiance, perfect for either intimate date nights with your significant other or chill nights out with your barkada.

they offer unique food items such as something as basic as their feel good chicken which is just fried chicken with a maple cream cheese dip, to something as elaborate as their torched salmon donburi. at least of their food i was able to try, my favorites were their braisedbeefpasta and chorizo sandwich. don't forget to get their mock mentaiko fries to go with your cocktails, too!

my boyfriend and i decided to go here to try something new. we ordered chicken rice, braisedbeefpasta, and their passion fruit with burnt orange juice. i really liked the chicken rice and my boyfriend was just okay with his pasta - he thinks that the tomato taste was overpowering but it was fine with me. i liked the drink a lot. i'd like to go back and try their other food.

food was really flavorful and tasty! servings were just right. we got the following:
1) pomelo salad - yummy! having thai coconut ice cream as a dressing was a different but unique take on this thai staple.
2) braisedbeefpasta - i love pasta and this one hit the spot! thebeefserving is also quite generous (a bit too much actually). found it a little mushy also but all good!
3) chicken rice - chicken was tender and the sauce wasn't too overpowering. definite comfort food!

it's just my second visit today but first time for lunch. my initial visit was on its opening year (approx.5 years ago) and it was for dinner. unfortunately, i had a better over-all experience the first time.

for me part of what regular patrons pay for this type of places is the ambience and service. place is definitely better for dinner with the lighting setting the intimate mood. in my opinion, the price in the menu is justified for dinner but a bit expensive for lunch. have a different price for lunch and dinner, maybe? just a suggestion.

as for the staff, they are not as engaging as before. i can still remember how friendly the staff were on my first visit. they made us feel less intimidated by the place and made suggestions on what to order upon learning that it was our first time. hope the staff can still be like this.

with the food, its good but nothing exceptional (maybe because we didn't order the specials). we ordered:
- mock mentaiko fries
- no carrot carrot cake *
- chicken rice
- braisedbeefpasta
- laksa fettuccini
- tofu steaks & eggs
* should be tried at least once ☺

its been awhile since i have eaten in your local. so i was really i excited since this is one of my fave resto in makati. for this visit we ordered our fave torched salmon donburi and mackerel version of it. we also had abeefbraised pasta and laksa fettucini. i was surprised that the mackerel version was a lot better than the salmon. this is the 1st time i ordered it and side by side with the salmon. the mackerel was so much better. much much flavorful. for the salmon at almost 700php i find it too expensive and quality wise it was good but not worth it. for the pasta i enjoyed the laksa. this is something that i'll try to cook at home. for thebeefbraised pasta it was good but got that umay factor in it.

overall i still love your local but with more resto coming out with same good dishes at a lower price, i find it too expensive. somehow their sister company hey handsome is a better option for me if i'll spend the same amount. :)

we shared torched salmon donburi and braisedbeefpasta. artisan but quite pricey. but it’s a must try really, because it has unique food that’s actually good to try once. you’d have to go here for different food at a time. luckily i ate with a friend so we got to try two at a time.

your local has been on my “to try” list for quite some time. however, i was a bit hesitant due to the street parking and no reservation (sunday lunch). i hate going all the way to makati and end up eating elsewhere because there are no seats available. however, we took our chance because it was a rainy day.

for starters, we ordered the 3 different buns (chili crab, double dong, beefrendang). i have read mixed reviews about the buns, so i was hesitant to try it out. in my opinion, beefrendang is the best among them, but chili crab is still worth a try.

there are two kinds of fries: parmesan fries with truffled ketchup and mock mentaiko fries - both were good and worth a try.

for main course, we ordered the torched salmon donburi and torched mackarel donburi. we agreed that each donburi has its own unique flavor. i would definitely recommend either donburi.

based on mixed reviews here, your local is “expensive” or “serving is too small”, however, that is not the case (for me). their dishes are all decently priced for the quality of food they provide. service is superb! my only complaint is that the washroom floor is too slippery and is prone to accidents (especially for elderly or pwds).
