yellow bird cafe x kitchen

ate brunch here with the family. our order took time as there were a lot of people who came in before us. the bacon and mushroom pasta was good 4/5 (wala sa pic). french onion is 2/5. it was my first time to order that so i dont know how it shouldtastelike. the sandwich is 3/5, nothing special. the tapa is 2/5, portion is kind of small. presentation is alright. staff is accomodating. not worth the long drive.

i’m sorry but hindi talaga sulit ang binyahe namin para dito.. i ordered a pumpkin soup and monte cristo sandwich. the pumpking soup tasted like mantika. ewan ko ba :( i could not eventastea bit of pumpkin in there. i was expecting that they would use semi premium ingredients for the monte cristo. but no. it was just tasty bread, square na ham, square na cheese plus mayonnaise. service was okay. mabait din yung manager. but will never come back again.

staff are friendly, cozy place, delish food.

my fave among sa inorder namin. malambot ang meat and flavorful. i cantastethe ripe tomatoes which gave it a nice color.

creamy shrimp and pesto pasta 👍👍👍👍
i'm not a fan of pesto, but i enjoyed it.

okoy 👍👍👍👍 is okay na okay, sarap nung dip and the okoy itself is very crispy.

smoked brisket 👍👍👍 okay naman yung flavor, but i want it to be more juicy. mejo on the dry side kasi sya.

overall experience is 4/5.
looking forward to a6 wagyu and bbribs wala kasi during our visit.

manager is accomodating, yung waiter na naassign samin ngayon is hindi kasing accommodating nung isa, pero okay lang. we all have bad days ika nga.

nireserve nila yung magandang place samin as requested. happy with the service 🥰

roast beef doesn'ttastelike roast beef. it tastes like jolibee's garlic pepper beef. aside from that, we think that the serving size was too small for its price.

i would give the seafood in olive oil pasta a 5 if its not too salty. take note, i like salty food but this one is really too salty. also, the shrimp and squid are a bit overcook. but overall,tasteis good, pasta cooked perfectly.

for the ice blended smores, we loved it.

the sansrival cake was perfect. i am willing to buy a whole cake!!!

service, the crew was not approachable. they were frowning and had to follow up things. they also had a mistake in our bill. good thing we checked it thoroughly before paying.

their nachos sauce is really goooood..the flavor is superb and the nachos chipstasteauthentic.we dined on a sunday lunch.the place isnt that full however i wish they allowed people on the second floor since it's closed.really like the ambience of this place.

i've seen some bad reviews and wanted to try it for myself. wasn't dissapointed with what we ordered. i loved my lasagna, tasted my bf's beef bulgogi and was good too. the sauce was overflowing, i suggest ordering an extra rice immediately 😬 wish they could cook the sisig to a crisp as thetastewas just right and not oily. order their iced teas, very refreshing! i had the jasmine passionfruit, if you're not the floral fan of teas you can choose from the other 2. but the jasmine wasn't overwhelming, it was brewed right. i could give a 5 star, but one of the server i find a bit rude somehow. next time i go back, we'd like to try the other dishes.

iced coffeetastegood, and prices are okay naman. i love the place, plus sobrang tahimik pa. must-visit!

food order: sriracha wings, smoked salmon salad, ribs and montecristo, cafe latte

food is delicious. but not so much fond of the monte cristo, too oily for me. when ordering the main entree it comes with a free wine glass serving. i enjoy the chicken wings too much 😂 i forgot the ribs, but i remember ittastegood and it fall off the bone. 👍 coffee is not so okay, hope they could improve this one.

ambiance is okay. people are coming in and out. better to go there before peak hours to get your seat.

service is a hit or miss as the servers do not communicate properly and some orders take too long to be served.

overall, i'd still go back here 🙂

sad to say, we tried yellow bird for dessert only since we already had dinner. we came to the resto and surprised that for a resto which is in a secluded area, there are a lot of people eating inside.

we had the dome chocolate cake, white choco sanz rival cake, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and pinky promise strawberry yogurt-based smoothie. i am not into white choco cake but it's texture helped and thetasteisn't that sweet. the drinks are the best! specially the smoothie.

looking at the orders of the other tables, serving seems sumptuous. plating is also appealing to the eyes. 😀😀😀

i’ve always loved eating at yellow bird because of their delicious pasta dishes. i ordered chicken pesto and it looked delicious but upon close inspection, i saw that the chicken was still pink at the center. still, i ate the pasta but opted not to eat the chicken for safety reasons. i really loved the pasta but hope they can address this issue with the chicken. im pretty sure they saw its pinkness since it was cut into smaller pieces.
the chocolate cake still tasted good but i wonder if they changed the recipe because it lacked the rich dark chocolatetastethat i’ve always loved.

we went here today to have brunch. i was craving for beef tapa on the way, just to find out that they serve their breakfast menu only until 10am during fridays to sundays.
so i had my bf decide for the both of us. we ordered:
tinolang baka - you might be thinking that it willtastelike tinolang manok only the meat is beef. it’s not. it’s a whole different tinola but very delicious!
sriracha wings - literally just fried wings covered with sriracha sauce. still good tho.
creamy pesto shrimp - thumbs up with this one as well
yb cookie dough - unexpectedly good
peach cooler - it’s just sprite and peach syrup

overall, the food is great, the place is nice and cozy. will definitely come back here. 🤳🏻

food: 
4/5 stars --tasteis alright especially for the amount of food you're getting (good serving size). the menu is quite simple. 
i really liked the following:
 siracha wings -- the right amount of tangy and spicy
 salmon and cream pasta -- not too creamy and i like the touch of nori bits
 cheeseburger --- juicy!. ramen pasta and salted egg pasta were gimmicky and didn't really deliver. 

ambiance:
4/5 -- it's an instagrammable place :) but there were some flies!!!

service:
3/5 -- i went here twice and both on weekdays, and for both times service was really slow. during my first trip, i went at dinner time while on my second, it was late in the afternoon but there was a big group/family occupying the entire 3rd floor. still, this isn't an excuse for slow service. i think they have to keep up. also, it's hard to get noticed by the waiters when you're at the first floor. however, once they do get to you they are very attentive and courteous. 

still room for improvement. i have high hopes for this place :)

i do recommend it if you live/passing by the area. not really something to drive all the way to antipolo for however.

this has been our third time here, and 1st time trying their changed/revised menu.
crispy pork belly = chicharon na sunog
the beef bulgogi'stastewas ok but the beef was like rubber :(
im not trying to be mean, but truthfully our 3 dining experiences here was not pleasurable for the food part.
again, location and ambience = very nice
food sadly hindi talaga ok. sana po makuha niyo na yung tamang luto ng food kahit na yung tamang lambot or crispiness lang. ^_^

it was our first time to come here, and this will be the last.
ambience: 7/10
the place was too much cold. we were just glad that they switched off their ceiling fan when we asked them to. but still really cold and so the food gets cold faster.
price: 5/10
simple home food that are very expensive. nothing special or any twists.
food: 1/10
we were very disappointed on the food. it was expensive and not flavorful. we ordered pancit bihon and salmon salad. this is the worst smoked salmon salad i've ever eaten. nothing special on their balsamic vinaigrette. small portion of salad for a price like that. the smoked salmon tastes like it just came from canned good. definitely not worth it. the pancit bihon is crazy expensive when we can onlytasteknorr seasoning or whatever seasoning just to give it a taste. not even flavor of the vegetables or the sautéed chicken and i think it has some kind of sausage there.
service: 6/10

very disappointing.

i wasn't quite satisfied with the caffeine "fix" from the nearby establishment, so i figured to go here for just that.

it didn't disappoint. i know thetasteof pure arabica beans when itasteone, and this one surely used those kinds of beans. :) highest quality. :)

the mom of the owner was there too to entertain us, she was really nice. :)

next time, subukan ko yung food. :) too bad i went here for the drinks only kasi nakakain na ako. :)
