yauatcha has the best cantonese food that i've ever tried. 

theambienceis spacious with beautiful lighting. completely covered glass walls with a blue tint. gives a cool vibe the second you walk in. fairly decent crowd. still found it a bit noisier than expected. 

the service is fantastic. the waiters are courteous and quite helpful with our orders. their recommendations are spot on. 

some of the dishes i tried are 
- fried turnip cake with vegetables 
- crispy prawn cheung fun 
- crispy lamb with raw mango 
- chocolate & raspberry delice 

all the above mentioned dishes taste wonderful. the turnip cake is fried to perfection and topped with burnt garlic and chilli which gives it an oomph. 

the cheung fun is the signature dish here. you start by pouring the warm soya sauce over the juicy prawn tempura wrapped in a delicate noodle wrap. absolutely divine. 

crispy lamb is quite exquisite. the crispy lamb pairs so well with the tanginess from the mango and the sweetness of the honey. one of my favorites. 

i highly recommend the desserts here. beautifully hand crafted desserts that taste impeccable. the raspberry delice takes my breath away every single time. ❤️

my first time at yauatcha and it was sorely disappointing. the server got my order wrong despite me writing it down on my phone, showing it to her, and reading it out as well.

the beef tenderloin was tough and chewy - i expected better from a "michelin-starred" restaurant. the hakka noodles were passable. all the food was extremely oily.

this restaurant has an open kitchen with no glass partition, and all the banging and clanking of crockery can be heard in the seating area. they could create an immensely classyambienceby just installing sound-proof glass between the kitchen and dining area. having a romantic dinner here is impossible.

we skipped dessert and left because the food, service andambiencewas extremely disappointing. won't be back.

theambienceis dull and dead. the food here used to be amazing. it turned out so bad today. we had starters only and left. the service was poor. no presentation. overall very bad experience. never going here again.

the service was pathetically slow and it took 1 hour for a starter and had to remind multiple times. the main course was just ok not great tasting. the experience of waiting so long for the food was made it not worth it . i can’t believe u need an hr for making 4 small pieces of starter.
the table provided initially was shaking a lot and when asked for alternative we were told they have many reserved table which they can’t give us , but when we pointed out even we have reservations there was no response to that. later we got a change after sometime.
the food was not served , even when asked only one main dish was served rest we had to do on our own.
don’t understand why i had to pay 700 inr service charge when there was no service provided apart from bringing the dishes and bill to our table, with constant follow ups for the former though.


pros: can’t think of any from this visit apart from the numerous kimchi we asked for during our long wait for starters
cons: bad service ! small portions.ambience is ok, tables near open kitchen are noisy

so i finally made it to yauatcha in bangalore after hearing so much about it and all the hype. but what it turned out to be was utter disappointment.
we went in expecting it to be on the lines of hakkasan or pa pa ya or any good fine dining place for that matter. but the minute we stepped in , the atmosphere put us off. theambience, the smell, the noise, no one being there to help us with a table, till we started looking for one ourselves.
the vibe of the place felt like one of those run down low budget canteens in the corner of a mall.
but we still decided to try it out, since we made the journey all the way.
we ordered the dimsums, a crispy aromatic duck dish and crispy lamb with raw mango. the dimsums were below average, the duck was decent, the lamb though crispy on the outside, was was rubbery and chewy inside. there was absolutely nothing to write home about. the pecan and coffee desert was the only saving grace. the staff was prompt once we were seated, but that was about it. i mean during times like these , when people hardly get out , and are so sceptical, when they do finally manage to choose a place and look forward to a meal and take the effort and trouble , restaurants should also be doing their best to reciprocate too otherwise it’s a big let down. not sure if this is some post lockdown effect, but hey, if the prices aren’t changing, neither should anything else. when you’re charging your customers a bomb... the food, the service , theambience, the total experience should match up. however this felt like a total waste of time, energy and money.

this is the perfect place to have delicious chinese food. very hygienic. theambienceis very nice and calm. we had ordered for pumpkin fried prawns , corn soup, kung pao chicken, veg hakka noodles. all were simply delicious. but the bill was around 2600. i felt it was a bit overpriced. the prawn starter itself was around 960 something for 6 pieces.. thats a bit too much. otherwise i enjoyed the meal.

this is 2nd time i visited this restaurant.. i was totally impressed with the food , taste &ambiencewhen i visited first time.. but this time i'm little dissatisfied with the taste & as it was not upto the expectations.

rating 3.5, food taste is good, service is good, butambienceisn't great plus it is little overpriced for the food portion.

the food here is delicious and theambienceis very cozy. was on my must visit list and i think it was worth the visit. i loved the roast duck udon noodles, it’s the best in the menu and i regret not ordering the roast duck for starters. so i would suggest to try it out.

theambienceis not at all in sync with the pricing, one expects more of a star hotelambiencewhich is clearly missing. the quantity is something which should be definitely taken care of. the one string which helps balance this review is it's desserts. i had ordered all the desserts on the menu and it's safe to say, none of them let me down. they'd keep you spooning for more ! an overall average experience.
